I decided to visit Winder's hidden gem, K's Kitchen @ 53 Monroe Hwy, suite B, Winder, by the Citgo. You can eat in or take out. The restaurant is clean and cozy with an inviting atmoshere that immediately puts you at ease. If you haven't tried K's, I highly recommend it for anyone looking for a great dining experience. The service is impeccable. The employees are very attentive and friendly. The food is fantastic. I ordered the smash burger with fries. Everything was fresh, hot, made to order and perfect. I wish I would've saved room for dessert. There was a berry cobbler fresh out of the oven. The wonderful aroma filled the air. I will save room next time. I will be going back. I want to try everything on the menu. But wait they are also open for breakfast. I absolutely love this place. read more

Wow! The reviews got me to visit and the food and welcoming service will make me a regular! We ordered a kid's grilled cheese (make with love and pride), a double smash burger with fries. Such a shame! I have been wanting to try this start up location sine they recently moved. Kind of disappointed. I order door dash and the delivery driver had to wait to for gravy biscuits and hashbrown casserole. The gravy biscuiits werent bad just needed seasoning (salt, pepper). The hashbrown casserole definitely could be perfected. If you like burnt hasbrowns with lots of cheese, this is definitely the spot. Might try this place again but if I pass Waffle House , might stop there instead. read more

This little unassuming spot at the back of the In N Out convenience store was an unlikely contender for the role of my favorite new lunch spot, but that's exactly what it's turned into! Don't be fooled by the tiny premises - Kara runs her restaurant beautifully. Both the owner and staff are exceptionally friendly, and they clearly take pride in the delicious and inventive food they're serving up to customers lucky enough to find them in their out-of-the way location. I've had the smashburger (easily the best hamburger you can find! Perfectly crispy around the edges and oozing with flavor) and corn nuggets (my life may never be the same - think tater tot shape, but a golden fried nugget full of creamed corn instead!) The chicken pot pie is also outstanding, and her stewed mushrooms are some of the best I've ever tasted. I cannot recommend this place highly enough. I know Kara is destined for great things, but for now, let's enjoy watching her figure out ways to prepare food worthy of a large restaurant in her little kitchen! read more

We made our first visit today, and OH MY, the Burgers were AMAZING! The hand cut fries are such a perfect accompaniment! The folks who are in charge of this are equally amazing! So friendly and accommodating, make you feel right at home and you feel like you have met a friend. We are anxious to get back and try out the additional offerings. And, oh yea, they serve breakfast. The best food around! This little spot is a hidden treasure in Winder! She's open for breakfast and lunch Tuesday-Saturday and if you're in the area, make sure to stop by! The homemade biscuits are so fresh and delicious. Get yourself a side of cheese grits or hash brown casserole to go with it! If you stop by for lunch, the smash burger with bacon is the way to go!all sandwiches come with fries or pasta salad. The employees are so nice and make you feel right at home! Had the Smashburger today, it was awesome. The wedge fries are totally amazing. Never had anything like those and they were very crisp yet tender. I've also had the pot pie and the breakfast wraps are crazy. Make sure you have a big appetite! Loaded with goodies. Great customer service and hopefully they will open up an actual restaurant soon! I drove down to Georgia to visit some friends for Thanksgiving and I had heard about K's Kitchen through Facebook and Yelp. Easily some of the best homemade style food I've ever had. K and her staff were so nice and it felt like such a home style environment. Even her French fries and ranch were made from scratch! Loved every part of the meal and the experience! Enjoyed my chicken salad sandwich on whole grain. would have preferred it not be toasted, but I didn't think to ask for it not to be served that way. Also enjoy the homemade onion rings I have in the past had their homemade corn nuggets, and they are delicious. I believe that everything is homemade, including desserts. Very nice people working there trying to make a good business keep going. I like stopping there for lunch, but they have specials for breakfast and lunch every day:-) Small amount of seating inside but if you're looking for a quick breakfast or sandwich to have for lunch, this is a nice place to go.
