Most unprofessional experience I've had with a plaster company. Made an appointment, Kenny showed up on time and was quite friendly. That's where things turned a little weird. Kenny kept making comments about how he loves his time with "just the boys" (I am a man) and kept saying how his wife didn't like him spending so much time with "the guys" (weird but, ok). This progressed to the point where he kept lightly slapping my back, grabbing my shoulders, etc, I'm like "whatever, he's a touchy guy". Finally I try to break up the small talk and head inside by saying "well let's take this inside and get things going", in that moment something took over Kenny, I could see it his eyes. He responded with "nothing would make me happier" and this crazy SOB leans in to kiss me. He kisses me right on the damn lips and I have never been so damn angry in my life. I'm not a bigoted person, but I'm no damn homosexual either and even if I was my damn plaster appointment would not be the time to work that out! For his part, when I rejected his advance Kenny got embarrassed and acted like it didn't happen, but the damage was done, I asked him to leave and will be calling a different plaster outfit. 1 star. I hired KT Blueboard to build out a space for my business. The owner was professional during the initial stages of quoting the job. After hiring the company, the owner's demeanor changed drastically. He was unprofessional in his language and interactions. He criticized work done by my other contractors and began making excuses as to why he was unable to complete some of the specifics he had initially agreed to do. On the day of the install, the owner walked off the job prior to doing any work. When I asked for my deposit back he stated that the deposit covered the cost of materials that he left on-site. I have requested documentation to confirm what the materials cost however he has refused to provide it. From the research I've done, the materials cost nowhere near what he claims they did. I am the new owner of a small business and am not in a position to be swindled by a dishonest contractor. Consumer beware- do not use this company. "zero" star for this company, not even "1".My husband agreed with Kenneth to have 2 bathrooms to be done with plaster. He did one bathroom and took about 65% of the total costs. And...vanished...never came back to finish the project!! After several attempts with contacting him he finally send my husband a text message: " My phone wasn't working this morning . I'm behind schedule. I will call you this afternoon..." And it was about a week ago.He never called as back! Fortunately we were lucky to find other company who was reliable and honest. Be aware! I can't say enough good about KT Blue Board. Absolutely fantastic job, well done! Kenn and his crew are very dependable and professional. Prior to starting, everything was covered and protected. They even damp mopped the floors when they were done! After Kenn completed the job, a tile person came in. Let's just say he made a mess of things. Because he obviously didn't know what he was doing, we had a half in gap between the tile and wall. I called Kenn for help. He responded immediately and managed to fit me into his schedule for the same week. Again, Kenn showed up on time, and again, his repair of another's mistake was perfection. My house is settling and we found a few cracks in the wall. I called a few places for estimates and time frame and Kenny called me back almost immediately. I sent him a few pictures and he provided me with a quote. He came on time, completed the job, cleaned up and the estimate did not change. Job looks awesome. read more

We had Kenneth come up this weekend to give us an estimate on getting rid of our popcorn ceiling. He did come in look it over tell us exactly how he would do it. We then went over to our in law apartment where my mother-in-law lives to have a little ceiling work done in there. He did not acknowledge my mother-in-law and did not introduce himself to her. It was as if she was invisible. We Returned to my side of the house he went on to tell us how great his work was and how you pay for quality and then when he realized where my husband worked he acknowledged that he had brought his vehicles in for service there. He then went on to insult my husband's place of business claiming he was charged for work that was not authorized and claimed the work he had asked to be done was not done. My husband looked up his history of his visits to my husband shop and found out that it was all a total lie! My husband works in a very reputable shop does quality work and does not do work that is not authorized. We found Kenneth very insulting And very unprofessional. We would not recommend him know if we ever do business with this man. read more

I bought a house built in 1882. One of the bedrooms, the walls were crumbling. Kenny came in and gave me what I felt was a fair price to redo the whole room. It came out terrific. Then I have a laundry closet which was bare plasterboard and old wood trim and a wood funny looking ceiling. He took out the old wood mouldings and replaced it with plaster. He was also able to sheetrock and plaster the walls even thought there was piping there and I figured no way would the sheetrock fit. So now the room looks like a real room instead of crud. read more

All I can say is WOW! Ken and Luis came over to repair my popcorn ceiling after a water leak. When they arrived they immediately protected my hard floors and walls, cut out the damaged ceiling, replaced it with blueboard, sanded and sprayed the new popcorn on. Not only does it exactly match my old ceiling, but no one will be able to tell the damage ever existed. When they were done they removed all debris and cleaned the floor. Shhhhh, they left it cleaner then when they arrived. I'm truly impressed with their work ethic and attention to detail. Last week I had to pleasure of K T Blue Board Plastering out to our house to put up new walls in our hallway and stairwell. I had met with another company to do the job, who left me hanging for 6 weeks, so I decided to move on and found Kenny's company on Angies List! Best decision ever!! Called Kenny on Monday morning, he came out 2 hours later, called me with an estimate that afternoon, which we were very pleased with so we hired them. Kenny and his team came out the next day, prepped and then came out on Wednesday and Friday, and the job was done!!! Kenny and was great to work with, and his crew were awesome!! Very polite, reliable and hard working in my crooked house lol After all the waiting I did, they came in and wrapped things up in four days !!! Very responsive and professional. The team did the job the next day after my initial call. I had a hole in my kitchen ceiling due to a water leak in the upstairs bathroom. They covered the area in plastic and ensured all the trash was taken out when finished. The hole was covered with blueboard then plastered and it looks great. There aren't enough stars to truly explain the work that KT Blueboard & Plastering did. We bought a 1923 home. We called KT's to plaster our newly demo'd bedroom. We stuck to our guns with keeping the original tin ceilings, even with his advice not to. Between the ceilings, the uneven rafters, and our short timeline, they made it work, SEAMLESSLY. We are so incredibly pleased and can't wait for them to come back and do our other rooms. Not only did they keep it entertaining with their music choices, they were respectful to our home and most of all, made sure we were happy with the results. Oh yes we were. I recently had KT Blue Board finish the walls in my basement and 3rd floor. It was a good size job, 6 rooms, 2 full baths and 6 closets. At the initial visit, not only were measurements taken but each corner, soffit, and complexity were pointed out to figure out how it was to be finished. The delivery of 200+ boards went smoothly, floors were covered, stair treads were protected and the delivery site was cleaned up. Board hanging went quickly and all scraps were removed. Kenny accommodated my change in the schedule and plastering went without a hitch. My floors were entirely covered during plastering even the driveway and outside walkways were covered to prevent plaster from getting on these surfaces. Cleanup was perfect, nothing left behind, just new walls and ceiling. Kenny and his crew were professional.
