I attended their soft opening this past week, and was blown away by the whole experience. Pros: 1) The Jianbings: You have to try them! I recommend the pork, but the veggie one is pretty good too! Meats cured to perfection! The crepes are a delicious and savory. You gotta try them to believe me! 2) The drinks: The fruit teas are DELICIOUS! (So are the milk teas! Ever tried aloe vera jelly? I have tried their pork belly and beef so far, and I personally love the pork belly! I would recommend to eat it right after you get it, as the crispy fried wonton could slowly get soggy by the sauce. I've been scouting out places with Jian Bings after having them at the popular pop-up in SF a few months ago. Jian Bings are savory egg crepes that wrap wonton crisps, sauce, and meat. K Tea Cafe is a cute casual joint that serves Jian Bings, Bento Boxes, a few other snacks, and boba teas We chose the pork belly one which was savory but fell apart immediately and was not as crispy as it should be. This is located in a semi busy area of Sunnyvale! For parking, there is street parking along the street in the front or you can try your luck in the shared parking lot behind the shop. Prices are decent for the drinks and since this is a cafe not a boba shop, prices for food may be a bit pricier than a boba shop but prices are still decent. Of course I would have to get boba, so I got their jasmine milk tea with boba and it was on the stronger side for me, it has a stronger tea taste compared to creamy taste which I thought was okay but the Thai tea with boba even on the stronger side, I enjoyed. So I tried their banh mi sandwich which was about $7 depending on the protein that you want and I felt that it was okay but not filling. But then I tried their jianbing about $9-$10 depending on which one you get and I was pretty blown away, so this review is solely based on the jianbian! Does not get better than this. JianBings are humungous. We came by kind of late on a Friday evemomg, so they were already out of assam and rose tea... which was a bummer. We ended up getting dark roast oolong instead. Their honey boba was decently chewy and sweetened, but the tea flavor was relatively weak. Wouldn't necessarily recommend their teas (though I haven't tried the two we wanted). Their jianbing though, were generous portion sizes and a lot more filling than they look. We got one pork belly and one bulgogi. Even though I think the other toppings were the same, the pork belly one was more spicy (but still only moderately so), and the bulgogi one had more of the sweet-ish sauce. Maybe they were just made by different people? Anyhow, both were very delicious and came with a good portion size of meat. The crepes were had black sesame seeds and green onions sprinkled on top and were delicious. We very much enjoyed the jianbing. All in all, would recommend trying their jianbing and not sure about the tea. Might have to come back to see if the other teas are better than the oolong. 5/5 for the jianbing! I was craving it so badly the other day and missing my second hometown of Beijing, where the street vendors would cook it on little carts. The jianbing here taste just like my childhood, with just the right about of spice. I got the vegetarian version because that's what I grew up eating, and it hit the spot. I would be open to trying one with meat, however! Eat it as soon as you get it, if possible. The wafer-skin thing in the middle gives it a nice crunch. I docked half a star for the price ($10 is a bit pricey, even though it's a sizable portion) and the boba. The tea tasted a bit watery, so it only gets a 3/5 from me. It's nice to see that this business is taking a lot of precaution during COVID-19. I would feel safe ordering from here again. In fact, I can't wait to return. But I ordered the pork belly jianbing and sadly there was no crunch at all. Other reviews talk about how much crunch was in theirs, so maybe mine was a one-off. The sesame is black sesame, which is my all time favorite, and it was not flavorful in the drink. Maybe could have used more black sesame. I can't speak for all of the food here, as I've only had one tofu jianbing, the masala fried tofu, and the hot and sour noodles, but those items at least are just okay. The hot and sour noodles are very oily and lack depth of flavor. They'd benefit from additional texture of some sort. The jianbing was also a bit lacking in flavor. I enjoyed the masala fried tofu, though, which was nice and crisp on the outside and soft and tender inside, not too chewy! The pictures of their food look really good though--maybe I'll keep trying new things each time I come back, which I most certainly will because of their amazing boba and blended drinks! The strawberry lychee, spooky milk tea, tiger tea smoothie, and taro lover smoothie have all been absolutely delicious, with no sugar adjustment needed. We decided to head over downtown and visit the farmers market but happened to stop by and ordered ourselves the Bulgogi Beef Jian Bing. It was delicious! I have to point out this is slightly different from the traditional crispy Jian Bing as this one is more soft and contains more eggs. Just an FYI the Jian Bing is a good size but becomes a challenge to eat. Anyways, I recommend y'all stop by and give them a try. They pride themselves with using only the best ingredients and brewing their own tea fresh for each order. They also pride themselves in not using powders or high fructose corn syrup in their drinks which is EXTREMELY nice in this day and age where so many of these tea shops use cheap and unhealthy stuff. What they're most known for is serving a diverse menu of street foods including their highly sought after and most known for Jianbing which is an authentic and traditional Chinese savory crepe with a thin outer layer made up of wheat and flour and an inner layer of eggs, which is then stuffed with meats, crispy wonton, and other add-ons available. With a name like K Tea Cafe, it misleaded me to believe it was PURELY a tea shop, and I normally never go out of my way to get drinks, so I always passed by this shop without EVER being genuinely curious as to what they served, I am so HAPPY that I finally did more research on it and found out that they served food, and I glad that I finally got a chance to try it out. COVID precautions: As of 1/31/2021 all staff wears their mask and gloves at all times, they only ALLOW website order for their foods, so no one can come inside to order, it is just pick ups on their racks. They offer hand sanitizer on the outside if you need it, and theres PLENTY of space around to practice social distancing while you wait for your your order. They had a variety of cost add ons which I omitted. THIS was a messy meal especially when I had to pick it up for pics, the chili oil leaks everywhere SO having a second person is ideal for pics and ask for extra napkins! ⁣ ⁣ I can't describe just how heavenly the Jian Bing was, this thing is loaded with fried wonton, cilantro, green onions, black sesame sitting ontop of egg, wrapped in a thin wheat flour shell and TOPPED with sweet, spicy, and savory sauce. Let's start this review by letting everyone know that this place charges you 50 cents for less sugar. Yes, you heard me correctly. What boba place does this? Less ice, sure. But for less sugar? That's ridiculous. So, I stumbled across this place on Yelp while looking for a quick bite to eat during lunch. Boba and jianbing sounded like a promising combo. 4 stars on Yelp too. To my chagrin, my experience was nothing near 4 stars. First off, I had to correct the cashier on my order several times, but that honestly wasn't a big deal. I ordered 3 jianbings (2 pork belly, 1 classic) and 2 peach oolong teas (30% sugar with crystal boba, 80% sugar with lychee jelly) which totaled to $42.13. Things quickly started to go downhill after I looked at my receipt and realized that this place charged me $0.50 extra for customizing the sugar. I initially double-checked with the cashier if this was right and she redirected the question to the guy in the back making the drinks. He ended up telling me "yeah this is just what the boss has set up." It was a disappointing response, but I honestly can't blame or direct my frustrations at the workers behind the counter, so I sat back down and patiently waited for my order to come out. The 50 cent surcharge feels dishonest. Not only did the cashier not let me know this while ordering, it was also no where on the paper menu I was given. Next, my drink was way too sweet. I asked for 30% sugar, but it tasted much sweeter. I was willing to shrug it off since I'm aware that every boba place is different UNTIL my sister told me that her drink wasn't as sweet as she was hoping. Yup, you guessed it. Our typical order is 1 jianbing per person and a yum yum chicken to split, they have generous portions and we always have leftovers for later. What to eat: - Jianbing: If you've never had jianbing, it's a thin egg/batter crepe filled with your choice of meat (or tofu), fried wonton, cilantro, and green onions splashed with a sweet sauce that most closely resembles teriyaki sauce. It's redundant to order this with the Yum Yum Chicken so just pick one between the two - Rose Milk Tea: Ordered with boba and surprisingly good! Fragrant, not to sweet, and the boba was excellent What not to eat: - Sticky Chicken Wings with Coconut Rice: The wings were excellent but the blue coconut rice was flavorless. There is no outdoor or indoor seating available during Covid but Downtown Sunnyvale has park benches and so does the park by the train station across the street. The other stuff: - This place has amazing MEATLESS options, both vegan and vegetarian, from their baos to their jianbing. Try them all. - Prices range around $6-$15 per item if you order via their website (kteacafe.online). It's $2-3 more expensive if you order via DoorDash so go through their website. - They prepare the food FAST, like it only takes 15-20 minutes on average so if you live far you need to be aware your order may be sitting there and get soggy. I got really excited when I checked out the menu of K Tea Cafe on Yelp. Looking at those delicious stacks of Jianbing, all I wanted was one of those mouth-watering wraps. But unfortunately, it was a big letdown. We got the Chicken Teriyaki Jianbing and a Pork bowl. The pork rice bowl was mediocre and it can fill you up. But the Jianbing was a disappointment. The chicken meat tasted hard and so much water drained from the Jianbing while we were eating it. And this is not like the sauce that drips from a burrito. This was like water that comes out when you wring a small piece of drenched cloth. It was too pricey considering that. I wish they can reduce the price a little bit and make the Jianbing a little bit smaller as well; till they can work out the whole moisture issue. I ended up getting iced lychee oolong tea with the least amount of sweetness with rainbow jelly. I thought the tea was brewed well and tasted good. There was the right amount of lychee flavoring in the tea for me. The atmosphere inside the shop was good too. I'll definitely be back to try another tea and try a jianbing. read more

Glad this place reopened as there's not really any other options for jian bing in the area. They sent me a coupon back in January. Still online ordering and pickup from the back of the restaurant, but with limited hours (around 10:30-2 ish on the days they're open). Original and tofu are my favorites. read more

Skip the jianbing and just get a boba tea. I tried the pork belly jianbing and it was horrible. Threw it away after a couple bites. Wasted $15. The boba was fine. Nothing special about it. read more

*covid-19 review* found this place on yelp and was super excited to try it because i haven't seen many jian bing places in the bay - it's located in this cute little plaza which i'm sure would be really nice to eat in during non-covid times what i ordered: beef bulgogi jian bing complimentary item: crispy chicken package that i can heat on my own! haven't tried this yet but it's nice how they're giving it out the jian bing that i got was super solid and they give quite large portions too (makes sense considering the price). i really like how they do not skimp on the protein - the beef was super tender and slightly sweet which complimented the saltiness of the rest of the jian bing. the textures were also great as the crunch of the wafer matched well with the softness of the jian bing and beef. def some good comfort food. would definitely come back to try their other jian bing flavors and drinks! read more

Just the Jianbing Pork belly will get 5 stars, unfortunately we ordered the other food. The Banh Mi was good like a regular Banh Mi nothing special. The chicken steak was the worst, NEVER get this, it's dry dry dry!!! I did gave them a chance to correct it by bringing it to the counter but the gentleman there just tell me it always this dry.... OMG y would anyone want to eat this chicken jerky with hard crisp breading that cut ur mouth? The BBTEA was ok, so overall just come here to get Jianbing only! read more
