I took my friend here for our monthly breakfast date, and overall we had a really nice time. We were told to sit anywhere and go to the counter when we were ready to order, but I missed that part and we ended up sitting there waiting for a server. That part was on me. That said, if I had known ahead of time that this was more of an order-at-the-counter setup, I probably would have chosen somewhere else. When I go out to eat, I prefer full service and being waited on. So, after realizing how it worked, we had to get up, order at the counter, and then I still had to wait for my drink. Once the food arrived, though, we were very happy. Everything we ordered was delicious. We may have gone a little overboard since we like to start with savory dishes and then split a sweet crepe, but it was worth it. The food was definitely the highlight. The restaurant itself felt very cafeteria-like, which just is not my vibe. I can see why other people enjoy it, but for me, the atmosphere and self-ordering setup took away from the experience. Every time I come here, I'm always happy with whatever I order. The line moves quickly, and their sandwiches are seriously so good. My favorites are the club sandwich and the spicy chicken sandwich. It's been a long long minute since I've been here, it's good to see that the service and food is as good as it was 5 years ago if not better. I ordered the Philly crêpe with their crispy fries. "Also comes with a salad" Wifey ordered the fresh salmon crêpe with the potatoes. My Philly was super delicious, the steak melted in my mouth and the caramelized onions with the mushrooms and cheese just put it over the top. The fries are nicely seasoned, crispy, and tender in the inside. Wifey also loved the salmon crêpe and her potato's had a nice hint of rosemary flavor. They have different types of crepes - savory and sweet. For savory crepes / sandwiches, they're all close to $20 with some types of protein. Overall their food is pretty good, however it's overpriced, and service has gone downhill a lot. About half of their salads on the menu don't come with protein and are already $17. Adding meat brings the salad to over $23 without tax. If you get a non-alcoholic beverage, with tax and tips, expect to spend almost $30 for just for a salad with protein and a regular beverage. After being here a few times, service is hit or miss, depending on who you get. We had to ask for at least 3-4 times to our waiter for a glass of iced water. When nothing was brought to us, we also went inside to the counter to ask and was told they'll bring it out. Finally after asking for 6 times, then they bring out what we need. It's very annoying it took forever for such a simple ask. In addition, their staff don't pay much attention. I've seen waitresses just brought out the food without looking around carefully for the table number and then just went back inside. The food gets cold easily when they go back-and-forth with the food like this. Their staff don't seem to care and just do the minimum to get paid. They do have a nice outdoor seating area, especially at a corner lot. Castro is closed off, so it's comfortable to sit outside with nice weather. read more

It's been some time since i've had Crepevine and honestly I feel like it's popularity has surged since. Recently had lunch with some friends in the area and we were surprised the line was out the doors and the tables were packed. Their seating situation is also unique, you wait in line and are handed a menu to look over while a server asks you how many are in your party to properly prepare a table while you're making your way to the front. A lot of their tables are reconfigurable and so we were able to snag a table outside away from the inner buzziness. I had ordered their Country Grub which came with a Side Salad, Country Potatoes and a Savory Crepe filled with Soy Chorizo, Cheese, Bell Peppers, Avocados, and onions. Also ordered a Morning Bliss smoothie that had Strawberries and Banana. (Take note, they use Paper Straws, if that matters to you, def drink it faster) I had asked for a side of ranch and it was definitely house made since there was a hint of dill in it and I don't know many places that do that. Their portions are also huge so it might be a good idea to split a dish as I had to take mine to go. Which made for a good breakfast meal the next day. The service is also on top of things, getting us seated as fast as they could then being vigilant like a hawk refilling any drinks we had and removing plates here and there when they could. I was able to order and find a table immediately. While we waited for our food, a waiter brought out free biscuits - soft, fluffy, and sweet! I have tried several of the savory and sweet crepes, and all of them are absolutely delicious. My buddy wanted to grab some breakfast before a day at the range. I'll jump right to it. I had Santa Fe and it just might be my Go-To. It was fantastic. The combinations of chicken apple sausage, scrambled eggs, green onions, provolone and salsa fresca was divine. I paired it with three cups of black coffee. Man, was is good! I came to Crepevine on a Wednesday night after work, around 5:45 pm. Castro Street had more people than I expected for a weekday, but much less people than you'd see on a weekend. Crepevine had several tables filled. You order at the cashier first and then seat yourself where you prefer. I ordered the fish tacos, which came with a Caesar salad and my choice of potatoes (I chose wedges over fries). The total amounted to around $21, which I thought was a decent price for potatoes, salad, and two tacos. The fish tacos were stuffed with fillet fish and mango salsa, and the flavors were amazing! My only complaint would be that the moisture from the fish and salsa made the corn tortillas fall apart a bit, making it a bit messy to eat. The potatoes and salad were typical, but a great addition to the tacos. My friend ordered the Granada salad, which is arugula, pears, roasted peppers, onions, caramelized walnuts, Gorgonzola, and pomegranate vinaigrette. The portion of the salad was massive! She noted that the roasted peppers were an odd addition to the salad, since it did not mesh well with the sweet flavors of the other ingredients. Overall, I was pretty impressed with Crepevine's large menu and massive portion sizes. As someone who loves the concept of breakfast all day, I'd love to come back and try the crepes, scrambles, pancakes, and benedictions! read more

The food is consistent with the Palo Alto location. I personally have always ordered the bombay crepe since 2014, and it has never disappointed. The sweet crepes are also really good--the strawberry Nutella one is so yummy! For a special treat, the smores crepe is also delicious with some ice cream on top. One thing I ordered here for takeout but did not like was one of the pastas. I don't think they had blanched the spinach before cooking it, so every bite left a weird feeling on my teeth and the roof of my mouth. I had to toss it because it was uncomfortable. I've definitely had pastas like this before and never had such an aversion to spinach, so I think it might be how they prepared the pasta. Eating on Castro street in downtown Mountain View next to the railroad tracks a few blocks down. Came here with a "meetup" social group of about 8 people. Order up front at the cashier, before entering the restaurant. A remnant of the pandemic, and a cause for long lines, as people have to make up their minds on what to order, before entering. 3.9% surcharge on all orders using credit cards. Fast food style ordering, and they still want the 20% tip. At least served with metal utensils and solid dishware, instead of paper plates. Service was very slow, as got here at 452pm and not served until 530pm. Prices on the steep side, with vegetarian crepes starting at $15, chicken, salmon and beef crepes at $18. Dishes come with lettuce and fries. Wife's $16.95 Milano crepe was grilled eggplant, mushrooms, spinach, tomatoes in cheddar and mozzarella cheese and marinara sauce. Vegetarian dish, not something my wife a carnivore like me would normally order. I think she ordered it so that Anna, the vegetarian organizer, could sample a bite with knife and fork. Serving size only average as wife had no trouble finishing it, along with lettuce and fries. My $17.95 Philly Cheese crepe had thin slices of beef, white cheddar cheese, caramelized onions, mushrooms. Went well with the delicious fries. Could taste the beef, an indication of a good portion of meat, not overwhelmed by the cheese. Beef was tender enough so that I could eat it without two of my teeth, including a canine tooth missing, due to crowns breaking off at the gum line on root canal teeth. This was June 23, 2023, a nice hot summer day, allowing us to eat outside.
