A delicious crepe with the right amount on Nutella and fruit and delicious chai latte

This is my first time here at Crepes Bistro. The interior is charming and clean. I was just passing by when I spotted on the front window "Fresh, organic, vegan & gluten free choices." A healthy alternative for brunch! Then menu has many offerings to suit most every palette. I appreciate how most of the ingredients are listed in each entree. It would be even better to have the ingredients of the batter listed somewhere, though. I pre-ordered ordered the Avocado, and I received a message that my order would be ready in about 20 minutes. I arrived six minutes early, but my order was ready at that time. The ingredients were indeed fresh. I could smell the veggies - a good sign of freshness. The crepe was big, cut up and placed in the container in two layers. The crepe batter was fluffy and not dried-out, and the lemon tahini sauce provided a nice touch of lemony flavor that was not overpowering. To say that the flavor was bland is not really accurate, as the flavor was organic - I could taste each vegetable without the saltiness. For some people this may be bland. But for those of us who need to watch our salt intake, it was good. I am happy that this establishment caters to those with dietary restrictions. Nowadays this seems to be more and more of an important consideration when choosing where to eat. In that respect, Crepe Bistro does not disappoint. read more

Tried their Mexican Birria Crepe. Good serving portion. Crepe itself was good. The meat was a combo of beef and lamb. The meat had a pretty mild flavor by itself but together with the mozzarella cheese, onions, cilantro all wrapped in the crepe; it works. There's a slight spicy kick, too. It came with a side of sour cream, which added another layer of flavor. The sourness of the sour cream highlights the beef flavor. One order is enough for two people. Nice art work on the walls. I genuinely love the food here. I've been coming for the past 5 years and it's always amazing & everything usually goes without a hitch. Today, though, one of my crepes was undercooked (basically a little raw) and the other was overcooked. I went to tell the cashier and asked if they could remake the undercooked one. She was so nice and immediately said yes, but when she went to talk to the kitchen, the staff back there resisted. They came up to me and claimed nothing was wrong with it, saying "that's just how the batter looks." She fought me on the quite hard. Eventually, she agreed to remake it, but when it was brought back to the table, a passive agressive comment was made about how if it was cooked anymore it would be burnt. Which is ridiculous, considering our other crepe was clearly toasted a little too much! Afterward, that same nice girl (don't have her name is she is blonde) from the front came over to the table to check on me again and genuinely apologized for everything that happened with the kitchen. I know mistakes happen, things get busy, and maybe they were rushing to get food out. But please just recognize when a mistake is made instead of trying to convince someone they're imagining things when the food is clearly undercooked. The remade crepe came back looking perfect and tasting delicious. Craving something sweet and came across this hidden gem in Santa Clara. There's street parking out front plus additional parking in the back, which made it super convenient. The shop itself had a clean, cozy atmosphere with artwork displayed throughout the seating area, and the staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming. We ordered the Sweet Works crepe with strawberry, banana, sweet cream, and Nutella, along with an iced hazelnut coffee. The crepe was loaded with fresh fruit and perfectly balanced with the sweet cream and chocolate drizzle without being overly heavy. The crepe itself was soft, thin, and freshly made with just the right texture. The iced hazelnut coffee paired really well with the dessert -- smooth, refreshing, and not too sweet. We we there to celebrate mothers day. Ordered Royal, Falafel, Sweet works and Acai bowl. This is a family run restaurant, ambiance was nothing to rave for but the food made up for it. It is a self serve restaurant. Açaí Açai puree, topped with GF homemade granola, strawberries, bananas, honey, almonds, and shredded coconut. Not tasting great it was like a frozen smoothie. Royal Veggie Crepe Mozzarella cheese, roasted eggplant, mushrooms, avocado, tomatoes, carrots, green onions, lemon tahini sauce and spinach. Best of all and apt name tasted great a saucy crepe. Falafel Falafel, lettuce, tomatoes, pickles, mint, and lemon tahini sauce. Falafel is created as a brick, so missed more crispy region. But not much other the falafel, some sauce in between would make it great. Sweet works Strawberries, bananas, sweet cream and Nutella, perfectly done. What made the experience great is they cut the crepes into squares, very easy to share and really enjoy the food. Good service. read more

Had Crepes Bistro bookmarked for a while and finally got a chance to try it out on a Wednesday around 8:30pm. Parked on the street nearby and there was indoor seating available. I ordered the Special Crepe and my friend got the Royal Crepe. Took about 15 minutes until our food was ready to be picked up from the counter! Special Crepe (4.5/5): Huge portion size! Crepe was cooked well and I liked how cheesy it was. I appreciated the sriracha bottles provided on the side - that was a nice touch! I wish the spinach was a little more cooked but nonetheless, still enjoyed. Friend loved the Royal crepe! Overall, friendly staff and solid amount of vegan/vegetarian options. The Special Crepe was pretty good, but next time I would get a saucier crepe like the Royal or Italian. The dessert crepes sounded amazing so I would definitely want to come back to try one. Giving Crepes Bistro a 4.5/5, rounding up to 5 because the staff seemed accommodating and would have adjusted my crepe if I had asked! read more

I first stumbled upon Crepes Bistro back in 2021 and just recently came back. It's exactly how I remembered it! The crepes are filling and so flavorful! I love that they offer a gluten-free batter option. I got the royal veggie and it was packed with veggies and cheese. My partner got the chicken fajita and it was also packed with veggies, chicken and cheese. We shared a black coffee and their house-made fries, which were surprisingly so good! I loved the tahini dipping sauce and if you like spicy, they have a spicy red sauce that is perfectly spicy and adds so much flavor to everything. Service was pleasant and there was ample seating inside but we opted to sit outside, which was so relaxing and perfect! Hoping to try their sweet crepes next time, as we were so full from our savory crepes and fries. It took awhile to get our food, but happy to see that they are busy as a small biz! A good crepe spot! The Italian and Nutella crepes were awesome, the avocado one okay. I like that the crepe is able to stand up to the filling, without disintegrating immediately, and that they cut it into squares for you. I feel like otherwise they get destroyed when you try to cut them! One note - I got a biscoff latte, and it tasted pretty burnt to me. I asked them to remake it, and they grudgingly did, but it tasted the same. Maybe the beans were over roasted? Not sure. But the juices were good! I'll be back next time I'm in the area. read more

The staff were so nice for openers. 1 had greek salad & 2 of us had the avocado carrot spinach crape & loved it. Enough left over for dinner at home. I had the mocha drink, which came in a very large cup with the "lots of whipping cream" I requested. The blueberry muffin, was one of the biggest & best I've ever bought & eaten. The tofu scramble with soup sounds like it wouldn't be great but it was absolutely amazing. So delicious. The chicken fajita crepe was incredibly good. This crepe place was INCREDIBLE!!!!! I hadn't had a crepe in so long & this place perfected it! It was crowded when I went on Super Bowl Sunday at 1 so you know it's good! I got the oregano zaatar crepe that has zaatar mozzarella and tomato and the Biscoff crepe that was filled with coconut cream and bananas which was heaven. Both were phenomenal!!! I was super blown away by the falafel! I've never had one so green on the inside before! And I loved the square shape! And the dip was so so good!!! The biscoff mocha frap was not too sweet and had pieces of biscoff in it! So good!!! I sat outside and they brought the food out, you order at the counter. It looks modest from the outside looking in, flanked by a laundromat and a copy center. There are a decent number of street parkings available in front of the store and it tends not to be crowded. I can always and easily find parkings every single time I come here. Crepe Bistro has everything you need for a great and heathy vegan meal. Their selection ranges from savory crepes to sweet crepes, salads to açaí bowls and yummy smoothies. Their prices are reasonable and their portions are HUGE! Usually I split my food with another friend as we can't never finish ours. The store is well lit, nicely decorated, neat and clean! It's a self-serve type of restaurant. After you order, you'll receive a buzzer which lets you know when your order is ready. You'll grab water, utensils and napkins at the self serve station, then pick a seat of your choice. They have a side seating section which features artworks from local artists. I always enjoy a slow weekend here eating crepes and look at those amazing artworks. If you have your dog with you, opt for the cute outdoor seating area. You also clean up your dishes and trash upon finishing. Their crepes are what really set them apart !! The crepes are made to perfection, right amount of flavor and brings you to heaven with every bite! I always feel full yet refreshed and rejuvenated after eating such fulfilling and well-made food! My husband and landed in San Jose and we immediately started looking for a breakfast place. Crepe Bistro popped as offering gluten free options. This place is so delicious I should have taken pictures of our crepes but they were literally gone in 60 seconds. I had the Zatar mozzarella and feta cheese crepe and added grilled chicken so tastey! This is a delightful restaurant. Original vegetarian only they have added a few meat options but still offer a bunch of vegan and vegetarian options. On top of that they have a couple of drinks that have all be delicious. I've tried 2-3 different items and I have not been disappointed. Both their portions and the prices are appreciated. I came here upon the recommendation from people who eat vegan diet and also Halal diets. Crepe cravings fixed this past Sunday thanks to Crepes Bistro. I went with the Chicken Fajita crepe and a cup of coffee. Friendly smiling folks as we entered from the back. There's street parking in front but in case you missed it, there's plenty of street parking in the back. I don't eat a lot of crepes but this is the first time I've ordered a crepe that has been sliced. Loved it. The portion and quality, amazing. I did experience a slight hiccup on my coffee order. Located near SCU, parking spots are limited but availability is pretty open. There's a good amount of indoor seating. I like how the utensils and water are open for customers to grab. Avocado (4/5): the portion is a good size. I really liked the texture of the carrots. The avocado went really well with the tomatoes. However I felt like the sauce was a bit much. This is a hard NO for me! I've eaten here in the past and it was much better. Today I ordered the Philly Cheesesteak on gluten-free fusion crepe. This is not Philly Cheesesteak at all. It was sliced steak, instead of thinly chopped steak and this definitely was not provolone cheese, I think it was mozerella. The bell peppers were rotten, literally they had black spots all over them. They told me they don't grill the onions. I've never had a Philly Cheesesteak without grilled onions before. The fusion crepe itself didn't taste bad, but it had the texture of a pancake (not thickness, just texture) and not a crepe. So I didn't even finish this. I moved on to dessert and Apple Cinnamon buckwheat crepe. Usually in crepes they typically use real fruit, this apple cinnamon just had cinnamon flavored applesauce, yuck! The buckwheat crepe was so dry. 3 crepes and a lentil soup was $65, too pricey for the quality. I won't be back again! read more

I just went to the Crepe Bistro for the second time and I really enjoyed myself. The first time there were six of us so the owner kindly set up a table for all of us outside. We tried all of the different flavors of savory crêpes and they were all wonderful so it was difficult to choose what to eat on my second visit, but I went with the Mexican lamb one. Also had an excellent moist blueberry muffin. Most of the things that they prepare can be done gluten free, which is a plus. They also sell olive oil from their farm in Jordan. Really great! I cannot overemphasize how impressed I was with this space. The portions were huge, AND executed wonderfully. Sometimes quantity is the measure of quality, but rarely is quality on its own the item of concern. In this case, they make incredibly tasty food and a healthy portion. The service is fun and engaging, and overall, I left knowing I need to go back. On my triad of excellence (food, service, establishment) the food is 5++ stars, the service is 5+++ stars, and the only thing that is an issue is parking and space because they are so popular.
