Where do I even begin? My friend and I came into this restaurant on a Saturday afternoon (4pm-ish) and it was slow. There were allegedly no tables available so we were told to put our names down. We waited about 7-10 mins and were sat. We each ordered the House Pho since it seemed to be the most popular dish, as well as an order of Spring Rolls. The waiter who was attending to us repeated our order which was (2) bowls of House Pho, Spring Rolls, and (2) beverages. When the food came out we only received one of the Pho dishes and one beverage. We asked to follow up on our additional soup and beverage only to the waited to tell us that we had only ordered one soup dish and one drink. We were very confused since he had repeated the order to us before sending it to the kitchen. The soup itself was lukewarm and flavor of the broth wasn't necessarily extraordinary. Similar to what others have written, it lacked flavor and tasted watered down. Pho should be packed with flavor and hot. The quality of meat was okay, but don't think I'll be going back. Stopped into Ktown Pho because I was craving a banh mi. I believe it's only street parking but luckily I was able to snag a spot nearby. The restaurant is very casual and gives off "hole in the wall" vibes. I ordered the pork banh mi and it was delicious! I really loved that the meat had no chewy or fatty pieces and the bread was perfectly fresh. My only complaint is that I wish the sando had a bit more meat, but at $10 I can't complain! Then the line started to get longer, that's how I knew it was going to be good! The food was brought out fast and hot. I love that their vegan options are clearly marked! I got the summer rolls with tofu and the vegan pho. OMG! I was instantly hooked. The rolls were fresh and so flavorful. The pho was exactly what I needed, the perfect broth! I'm really sad to write this because we've genuinely liked Ktown Pho in the past, but after today we won't be back. While we were still eating, a staff member named Alejandro started sweeping right next to our table. We asked him politely if he could just wait a couple of minutes until we were finished because it isn't hygienic to have dust flying around your food, but he refused. To make matters worse, he then started calling out to other customers to ask if he was bothering them. It was completely unnecessary and created an embarrassing scene while we were just trying to finish our meal. When we contacted management, we just got a lot of excuses. We were told that they try to hire people who might struggle to find work elsewhere. While we can appreciate a good mission, it shouldn't come at the expense of basic customer service or a clean eating environment. It's a shame, but the way this was handled by both the staff and management was just unacceptable. We won't be returning. read more

I had the chicken pho which I would say was solid. I didn't like the chicken meat too much, it felt kind of mushy. I'm sure their beef is much better but unfortunately can't have beef. I have visited this restaurant about six times now, and I can confidently say they serve the best tasting pho I have ever had. Because the food is always consistently amazing, I was excited to bring a group of friends here last night for their very first visit. Unfortunately, the customer service we received from our server completely overshadowed the meal. While we arrived about an hour before closing and I completely understand the desire to wrap up a shift the hostile attitude we encountered was entirely unprofessional. Our server, a younger Hispanic man whose name I didn't catch, made it clear from the start that he was impatient for everyone to leave. When one of my friends asked a simple question about the Thai tea, he gave a sarcastic response, stating dismissively that "it comes in a cup." He never checked back in on our table after delivering our food, and when we finally flagged him down to request extra veggies, he lied and told us we took the last of the onions. Later, while he was eating a few tables behind us, he loudly muttered, "Just go home already," which was uncomfortable enough that we turned around to see if it was directed at us. The behavior escalated when it was time to pay and we asked to split the bill. A female employee stepped in to help, but when she needed his assistance with the system, he was incredibly rude to her, aggressively telling her to move out of the way while huffing, puffing, and rolling his eyes throughout the entire interaction. It is incredibly disheartening to experience such a disgusting attitude, especially when introducing new customers to a place I genuinely love. The kitchen staff deserves five stars for always delivering incredible food, but management seriously needs to address this server's behavior, as excellent food deserves matching service. read more
