I got the All day special pad kee mao with the choice of a side two egg rolls and a side of egg fried rice, the workers are amazing and so kind, and then there are several different sauces on the table to use, a chili oil, a garlic chili oil and a red pepper flakes as well as some banana peppers the food was so good we will be definitely be back here and it was such a good value for the price, but if you want the traditional huge entree portion then just get the entree because in my special, since they also gave me fried rice and egg rolls, the portion of pad kee mao was half the size of the entree portion. still a great size, enough two servings and the entree size was enough for four servings!!! Unfortunately, this was a very disappointing experience. The food lacked flavor and didn't taste authentic or well-seasoned. There were no bean sprouts or many of the ingredients and Thai seasonings I would normally expect in these dishes. I also ordered online and my order arrived without utensils or even a straw for my Thai tea, which made the experience even more frustrating. The place is cute and is in a plaza with parking. You have to time it right because sometimes the parking is full. This has become the local Thai place where my bf and I eat Thai when we are craving it. The pricing is great, the food is fresh and the place is clean! The workers are also so kind and go above and beyond to serve you. I have tried the white rice, Chili Basil, green curry, Pad Thai, Pad See Ew and egg rolls. All very yummy. I wanted to love this place so much as it's nearby, but I found it mediocre. Biggest disappointment was the menu descriptions didn't match the foods I got for takeout. Particularly the large Tom Kha soup. The mixed veggies in the description was basically an abundance of button mushrooms, and there was cilantro but no Thai basil; then the spicy chili shrimp had bell peppers in abundance (too many) but lacked the depth of Thai flavor that only the basil can bring. In addition, the eggplant in the eggplant and tofu dish was cut in huge chunks that were underdone, while the copious amounts of bell peppers were overcooked. Was the food tasty? Yes, after I added salt, soy sauce, sesame oil and even some sweet Thai chili sauce. But why should that happen? Disappointing. But the service was speedy and the woman at the counter was very kind. Oh yes, the shrimp and chicken in the dishes ordered were cooked nicely. I did enjoy the red curry with mixed veggies and added chicken the most. That was the best, and I would gladly get that again! I want to try Pad Thai but am a little nervous. If you're looking for vibrant Thai dishes, this may not be the spot for you. Don't let the location in a strip mall off Pico fool you. Inside is a cute place with friendly service and a lot of delicious options. I went for the special which came with spring rolls and delicious yellow curry. My boyfriend got the a la carte green curry and we both had Thai Iced coffees. Found this place while out visiting my boyfriend and I am definitely willing to drive the 45 minutes to go back! The ambiance was great, the service outstanding, and the food was amazing. We had the Tom Kha soup, the Thai fried rice with chicken, and the broccoli with beef. I have to say the Tom Kah soup had a little too much coconut milk in it I couldn't really taste the lemon flavor, I'd give it a 3/5, the broccoli beef was good, that's a good 4/5, but the Thai fried rice was definitely a 10/5!!!! Came here randomly because it popped up on yelp. Cute little place in a small plaza with parking. I ordered the lunch combo with panaang curry and a chicken pad thai. Prices are okay and expected for this part of LA. I thought the Pad thai was kinda mid. I wouldnt get it again. the noodles were not chewy and were really soft and the tamarind flavor didnt really pull through at all. I think their other noodle dishes will probably be better. The curry was okay, but again I thought flavor was lacking a bit and the curry was broken too. I want to come here again because the service was really nice and its an okay price. I got the pad thai which comes with a egg roll, potsticker, and rice (I opted out of it,) and a $4 Thai tea and left full! The portion was perfect and the food was actually fire! The pad thai was savory and not as sweet as other places which I appreciated. I got chicken with it and it wasn't dry at all which rarely happens in my experience! So stoked about that too! - the service was perfect and because the space isn't huge, they're attentive and not overly attentive! - the space itself is perfect to grab a bite but isn't a fancy date spot; honestly I would go here for a date anyway because of the value and quality! - The parking lot is semi-limited but you should be able to find a spot whatever day you decide on going! I used to come here a good amount back when it was the Indonesian place with the robot server. Im not sure if it's the same family owning it with the kid helping out since I haven't gone back in person after the change but I've ordered delivery from here twice now, tried stir fried noodles, curry, all day specials, and full sized entrees. The flavor is pretty good, I would say for the staples (pad thai, pad see ew, pad kee mao) the flavors and seasonings are actually better than some comparable places a bit north of here towards Hollywood-ish. My main criticism is that they seem to be super stingy on the small things for some reason? No condiments or utensils; sure, whatever, I have them at home although it'd be nice to get some peppers or sauces on the side. But why are they so stingy on the portion sizes? The pad kee mao container was barely half full, I took about 5 bites and it was gone. It's just rice noodles, not wagyu steak, just give another small handful of it so the customer isn't hungry after eating a $16 entree and let them feel good about coming here. Feels like theyre being penny-wise but pound-foolish because an extra .10 cents in noodles would get them a repeat customer but instead it's losing them one because I don't want to still be hungry after paying for what's priced as a full meal. Edit: I raised it from 3 stars to 4 because I think otherwise the food is pretty decent, but they really could increase the portion size a little bit. It comes with your choice of dish, jasmine rice, potsticker, and egg roll.** 1) Pad thai - 4/5 Solid pad thai. Comes with lots of peanuts and bean sprouts which I love. It's very yummy and I've ordered it multiple times now. I would say that it is a bit sweeter than what i'm used to so maybe avoid if you don't like sweet dishes. 2) Red curry (w/fried tofu) - 5/5 My favorite dish here. They give you lots of tofu and veggies and it's super good every time I order it. Super flavorful and never misses! 3) Tom yum & Tom kha - 3.7/5 I've had better tom yum and tom kha at other places. Theirs is a bit bland in my opinion. It's good on a chilly/cold day and I would get it again if I'm there but if I'm craving tom yum or tom kha this place wouldn't be the first place I think of. I was also thoroughly impressed by their exceptional service. From the moment I walked in, the staff greeted me with warm smiles and genuine hospitality. I'd been wanting to try Good Thai Kitchen since I saw their all-day specials advertised, and I finally did! Very quick and friendly service, and the yellow curry was delicious! They didn't have mango & sticky rice available on their website, but when I arrived I double checked. They had some mangoes but didn't think they were good enough to be served, they graciously offered for me to try and decide and it turned out great after all!
