The space was very cute, with great light from the windows and fun personal photos and memorabilia. We were pleasantly surprised by their $20 lunch specials and decided to take advantage. You get three items, one from each category: starters, half size pho, and beverage. I got the spring rolls, veg pho and iced coffee; the hubby got the half veg banh mi, veg pho, and a coke. The food was good and the portions were more than enough. We actually ended up taking some of the starters home. A very good value and friendly service. 2026 update review: Pho Saigon Pearl has weekday lunch special that is $20 which is the right price for me to leave the office and have lunch here. It is also the PERFECT size for me. You get to choose three items- a smaller portioned solid dish, a smaller serving of pho and a drink. I forgot to take a pic of the menu but today I ordered half of a portion of grilled pork bahn mi, brisket pho and Vietnamese iced coffee and it was just perfect! All the greatest hits, no leftovers, at a great price. There are plenty of room for lunch so you won't be waiting too long. You should be able to be in and out in an hour. Servers are friendly as always and if i am not mistaken, they installed a large TV monitor (or maybe i never noticed it until now LOL.) read more

Garlic noodles were really good. The noodles had a great bite, and the seasoning was well balanced. It's my favorite here. Fried rice was also decent and felt like a proper Vietnamese style. Pho was too salty and tasted different from usual. I asked them to remake it, but it was still too salty. It felt like something went wrong in the kitchen. We've eaten here many times when they first opened. We were going to LACMA and stopped here first. Unfortunately they were a little busy so service was bad. Took a while to take our order and we asked for water . Got up to get it for ourselves then server saw my husband and said she would get it but didn't do got our own. Ordered the bun with pork and an egg roll. Egg roll wrapper was not fried well and was tough and chewy. Every thing else was good. Hubby has fresh spring rolls which were average. Food isn't as good as it once was and don't think we'll return. The male server did ask if we needed anything but failed to refill our water. Mediocre service. This place is like a hole in the wall with a 90's vibe with cassette tape boxes as receipt holders. I had ordered the phofax special Which had many types of beef, including handmade meatballs. They were all tender and fresh. The bone broth was delicious! Thai tea was also tasty as it was brewed for 8 hours. There is metered street parking outside. The service was excellent. The hubs and I decided to make it out to LA for a game and LACMA. Since I was craving pho, we found this place in walking distance from LACMA. It was a little before noon and there was only one party in the whole restaurant. We got seated right away and it was by the front window for everyone to see. The menu had a lot of options and priced like all other places or I'm just getting used to the prices these days. They did have a lunch special for $20 and you can get a small pho, and then some other choices and then a drink. I couldn't tell you what the other choices were because I didn't order it. The waitress was efficient and got the job done. She did get a little overwhelmed since after 1230pm, everyone decided to grab lunch. Here's what we ordered: lunch special with small bowl of beef pho, a beef banh mi and unsweetened black tea. The hubs said that his pho was decent, the flavor was simple and didn't have that deep rich flavoring like other pho bowls he has had. The banh mi had great bread and the filling was pretty flavorful. The black tea was good. I had the build your own pho because I have to have vegetable broth but I added in chicken meatballs and shrimp. The broth was pretty tasteless so I had to add in some hoisin sauce, and sriracha. There were other condiments but I was too lazy to grab it from the other table. That helped out with the soup. The chicken meatballs were questionable as in I wasn't sure if it was chicken. There were plenty of shrimp and they added pieces of chicken. The noodles had a nice chew to them. Overall the pho was okay but it didn't hit the pho craving/spot. We also ordered pork egg rolls and they were interesting. They weren't crunchy at all. It was a bit oily and at one point, I wasn't sure if a part of it was cooked. There was more other filling than meat. The nuoc mam tasted like watered down fish sauce. I guess I was so hungry that I didn't mind it. Overall, the food was just okay. Walked here after a visit to LACMA. Easy on the feet, easy on the wallet, excellent in the tummy. The usual suspects on the menu. Had the pho tai filet mignon, brisket pho, spring rolls, tea and vietnamese iced coffee. Fresh ingredients, excellent service, and a friendly, laid back vibe. I really don't like giving bad reviews but for this restaurant I have to. I ordered two phos on doordash. And the soup had absolutely no flavor. It literally tasted like saltwater. There were no remnants of beef, or star anise, or pepper, or cinnamon, or anything! I genuinely was so shocked. I had to use chicken bouillon to flavor the soup. read more

Great experience eating here! Came for dinner on a Tuesday night at 5pm and we were seated right away. There were a few dining when I arrived but it quickly got filled up a few minutes later. Ordered some flossy fries to take advantage of their happy hour. Those were gone within 5 mins. I had the Phofax Special. The broth was delicious. As a Vietnamese person, I was genuinely shocked by how much I disliked this place. This was the first Vietnamese restaurant I tried after moving to LA, and seeing "pho" in the name came with certain expectations, especially after reading all the great Google reviews. Unfortunately, it was a big letdown. The broth was extremely bland, and the meatballs tasted cheap and off. It quickly became clear that this place isn't meant for someone who's used to authentic Vietnamese food or grew up eating and making it. I've never had pho like this before, and not in a good way. I even tried to fix it by adding fish sauce, but they brought out the sauce meant for spring rolls instead, which didn't help. Even after adding a lot of sriracha and hoisin, the broth still tasted like nothing. The meatballs were the biggest issue for me. They honestly tasted artificial, almost plastic-like, and felt like the lowest-quality version possible. I also ordered chicken wings with fish sauce, and they were unbearably salty. I had to send them back because it was too much to eat without extra rice or something to balance it out. I won't be coming back. I'd rather drive all the way to Orange County for Vietnamese food than eat here again. That said, the service was nice, and the food came out quickly. If you're new to Vietnamese food, you might find this place okay, but if you're looking for authentic, well-balanced pho, this is not it. read more

Had dinner with a few friends on a Friday night. This was my first time here. We were graciously greeted upon entering and the staff quickly put together tables for twelve. A friend and I each ordered the Garlic Noodles with Filet Mignon. We both enjoyed our meal that had the right amount of garlic. The noodles and veggies were good, but the filet, which was cut up in multiple pieces, was a bit chewy. For the added price it was acceptable. Overall, the dish was good and we would order it again. A friend next to us just had the Fresh Spring Rolls with Pork appetizer. He loved it. The spring rolls were large and arrived at the table sizzling hot. He enjoyed the rolls by wrapping them in a lettuce leaf. Another friend had the Pho Tai Filet Mignon Noodle Soup. A large bowl arrived piping hot with a lot of noodles and good amount of filet. He said the soup was excellent. Other friends near me had the Basil Stir Fry with Tofu, and a Street Fried Rice with Shrimp. They both liked their meals, however, the shrimp in the fried rice were small. Overall everyone enjoyed their meals, and I heard no major complaints. There is a limited choice of beer, wine, cocktails, and sake. Several options of non-alcoholic beverages are offered. The service was very friendly and excellent. Big shout out to our waitress, McKenna. She was great and took good care of us without being annoying. The whole staff was friendly. And McKenna was able to process separate checks for us which was much appreciated. Beware: They don't accept cash so you have to use Debit or a Credit Card. They have a 3% service fee for using any card. Shady AF! There are a few tables in their dining room and a couple of outdoor tables on the sidewalk. Street parking is usually available. Beware that the neighborhood near the restaurant is a Permit Parking District. Read the signs before parking. read more

Okay these garlic noodles might be the best I've ever had in LA. The filet was cooked to perfection, and there was just so much garlic in the noodles I was in heaven! Our server was super sweet and talked me into this green tea that basically had a sea salt foam on top - also great! The food is alright, I wasn't a fan of the beef since it seemed to taste more like sweetened, reconstituted beef jerky, but the vegetables were fresh and the fish sauce was good. I was excited to find this place but we were a bit disappointed (we were craving it for a while!), but the meat gave us both a bellyache (and the dish didn't come with any mint after being told it did). Avoid this Pho place at ALL COSTS. This place is discussing and awful. I don't even know where to start first. We understand that Sundays can be busy, and there were only two servers working. However, the service we received was unacceptable. The male server was extremely impatient and came across as rude, making us feel unwelcome from the moment we arrived. The restaurant seemed to have no organized system for serving guests. Several tables that arrived at least 15 minutes after us received their food, finished eating, and left before our meals were even served. I ordered the special pho, but the experience was very disappointing. The broth was not hot enough, and even after finishing the noodles, the raw pork slices were still undercooked because the soup never reached a sufficient temperature. It was quite off-putting. The beef brisket was also extremely tough and difficult to chew. To make matters worse, the restroom floor was sticky and felt as though it had not been properly cleaned for some time. Overall, this was one of the most disappointing dining experiences I've had in a long time. Poor service, disorganized operations, subpar food quality, and cleanliness issues made this a place I will not be returning to. Unfortunately, I cannot recommend this restaurant. read more

This place was so good! I LOVED the spring rolls the grilled pork in it was so flavorful and I got it with the fish sauce and it was delicious. The pho was also bomb. I love the amount of meat and noodle in it I love the chunky pieces of tendon in there it's my favorite. I do wish the broth had a bit more flavor to it but still very good! Coming tired after work I finally saw that table next to the window was available, i asked employees if i can be moved there and one of the employees was nice and said yes. It looked brown and clumpy, while the chili oil at other tables looked much more vibrant. When ordering the beef pho, the beef came cooked on the side instead of being added into the soup, which was unexpected. The service was alright and I don't really have complaints there.
