Cute mom n pop stand! I ordered the spring roll with chicken. The flavor was there. I liked how much veggie it had. The peanut sauce was not my favorite but I didn't hate it either. Just a little too peanut-ey. Some people wrote about the customer service but I didn't have any problem. She took my order, I waited in front, and got my food! Oh the parking? Don't even think you can park in front. You might have to go around the block.

i tried the banh mi with pork and the summer rolls with beef. i liked the bread that was used for the banh mi but i preferred the beef over the pork. the food was made relatively fast and there's nearby street parking

Ordered takeout with my sisters for Galentine's Day and this place did not disappoint. The food was so incredibly yummy and fresh, definitely hit the spot -- especially the summer rolls for me. The rice noodle plate had so much food, i had plenty of left overs for the next day. Definitely need to try if you come across this place. The food is very authentic and you can tell they make it with lots of love and care.

Super small, hole in the wall, mom and pop shop with limited seating in a covered outdoor space. They take online orders as it's mainly a takeaway spot. Street parking was good for lunch on a weekday. I tried both the popcorn chicken and the lemongrass chicken banh mi. The lemongrass chicken bahn mi was SOOO good. I was worried the chicken would be bland or dry but it was neither of those things! It was very flavorful, juicy, and had a good char flavor to it. I really liked the dressing sauce on the banh mi - so addicting. I also liked the generous amounts of cilantro, jalapenos, pickled carrots/daikon and cucumbers. The bread was chewy and delicious where it held all the ingredients well. The popcorn chicken was juicy and flavorful! While it's not my fave, this spot is up there. I really liked the tangy spicy mayo dipping sauce and lemon wedge to brighten up the greasiness. I would definitely come back for the banh mi alone, but also to try the riblet and rice plates

I had really high hopes for this place. The reviews were great and the vibe of the place feels like the food would be good. You walk up to order and they have a small seating area to the left. The person at the counter just yells out the names as the food is ready. It gives a neighborhood old school vibe. However I didn't like my pork bahn mi. I didn't really like the seasoning on the meat and they had this white stuff mixed in with the carrots. I'm sure some like it, but it different in a not good way.

No need for fancy when you have authenticity. This is a spot where you have an awesome conversation and enjoy a great meal!

On a hunt to try new things in LA, I was given a recommendation from a friend of mine to try Bé Ù. Let me set the scene for you: Night time in Silverlake, cool weather, great ambiance, and even better food. This is my first time trying a Bánh mì and wow have I been missing out all this time. The ingredients worked together very well and the chicken was amazing. The staff at Bé Ù were quick, efficient, and friendly. I'm a huge fan of the order at the window and seating yourself. I loved the outdoor lighting and simple seating. The window of the kitchen being open with music playing out of it was truly the cherry on top. Whether taking it to go or eating there, I highly recommend this spot!

Recently stopped by this place to grab a sandwich (banh mi) and some coffee. But first, I just want to say that this business is exemplary of the businesses that I really love supporting. It doesn't hurt that they make some really tasty Vietnamese comfort classics! But yeah, Chef Uyen Le and the Be U team is one of the first restaurants that stepped up and provided meals for first responders and evacuees during the 2025 LA wildfires. They received some recognition from some publications, but were left off the list of some as well. For an already hard to operate climate for restaurants at the moment, these small restaurants that take care of their community should be celebrated and supported by their community as well! Okay, stepping down from my soapbox, the coffee was very delicious and strong. It definitely hit the spot and gave me the caffeine that I needed. The sandwich I ordered was soo good as well. I ordered the braised pork belly and egg banh mi with dip - this sandwich was inspired by LA's own Phillipe the Original's French dip sandwiches. I've been here a handful of times now and I have yet to have something here that I didn't like. The vibe is casual. There is some outside seating, but I think the spot is more conducive to take out.

Evacuated from Altadena due to the Eaton Fire, my family found ourselves in the wonderful land of Silverlake. My online reconnaissance for vegan grub had Bé Ù popping up everywhere. Tired and hungry as hell, I called in an order for anything vegan that sounded good on the menu. And woooh, boy. I have nothing but praise. From the front, it's a kitchen with an open Dutch door. That's it. There is no indoor seating and you don't go in at all, but I think theres a patio in the back. And the number of people milling about that open door tells you that Bé Ù is doing big things. We tackled the Tofu Banh Mi, Mango/Cucumber/Mint Salad, Bap Nuong (grilled street corn), and the Summer Rolls, and every damn thing had us wide-eyed mumbling "mmmmmm.." through big bites. Incredibly satisfying, both on a flavor level and filling, and each dish was completely doing its own thing. Not only was the food incredible, but Bé Ù is run by some pretty terrific human beings. They had a big sign up in the window that said free meals for evacuees and first responders. When they heard we were stranded because of the fires, they said to hit them up next time for a meal on them. We did, and they hooked us up with the three things we asked for, plus they tossed in some fried Jalapeño Salt &Pepper Oyster Mushrooms on top of it, which were SO DAMN GOOD. All in all, we tried six vegan options, and I'd order every single one again and again. The grilled street corn was rolled around in a vegan aioli, peanuts, and fried shallots. Serious comfort food. Vietnamese elote, basically. Or is elote basically just Mexican Bap Nuong? Deep thoughts.. The Mango/Cucumber/Mint salad was so much more than it sounded thanks to the sour and spicy dressing. The banh mi and tofu rice noodle plates were exactly what they sounded like and executed on point. Summer rolls, give me those every day, and those fried mushrooms.. ohhhh the mushrooms... Across the board, the ingredients were fresh and vibrant, cooked perfectly, and the balance of everything was dead on. I don't know when we'll be back in Silverlake, but I promise one thing. When we are driving through, or even remotely close, a stop at Bé Ù is here by declared to be on that future agenda. And I can't thank their crew enough for looking out for the community. It's spots like this one that really live and breathe the meaning of the hospitality industry. And it sure as hell doesn't hurt that their food is absolute fire.

Bé Ù has a special place in my heart. I've been enjoying their Banh Mis for a couple years now but every single time I stop by it always feels like a special treat because the food here, the staff, and their values, are exceptional. Their popcorn chicken is a MUST TRY, it'll exceed whatever expectation you've come to have for the dish and please be sure to dip every bite in the unbelievable sauce they provide. Their Chicken Banh Mi remains consistently among my very favorites in L.A.--the bread and balance of ingredients inside always satisfying. Do note: Bé Ù is set up primarily for To Go orders, however I did notice recently the addition of a small patio for on-site dining! You will not regret planning your visit to this cultural, culinary, and community haven.

So this is the first time I order from this place for delivery This is the best Vietnamese food I have ever ordered hands-down ‼ I'd read about this place before and And the chef Uyen: it's located near Silverlake on Hoover, it appears to be a very small hole in the wall, but my gosh, it offers such a great street food menu and I will definitely re-order in the near future to try other dishes! So tonight I had: the Chạo Tôm!! Which is two skewers of Charred Shrimp Sausage on Lemongrass Skewers The Shrimp sausage skewers are so out of this world, moist, and extremely tasteful! Each of the 4 pieces are skewered with a lemongrass stalk then charred. Plus all topped with scallion oil and crushed peanuts. So so delicious! Also order the Bắp Nướng (VGN) (GF) which was a Grilled street corn with scallion oil, crushed peanuts, fried shallots, and spicy aioli (Vegan spicy aioli optional) It was spicy but also very tasty: the order came with two small skewers of corn on the cob. I enjoyed it a lot And thirdly, my friend ordered the Rice Noodle with Angus Beef, including vermicelli rice noodles, spring salad mix, bean sprouts, julienned cucumbers, pickled daikon & carrots. Topped w/ scallion oil & crushed peanuts. Served dressed w/ house sweet & sour fish sauce. My friend Paula truly enjoyed it and we decided, we're definitely going to be ordering from Be U again‼ The Lemongrass angus steak Rice Noodle Plate: FYI With the rice noodle plates we get a choice of protein ( beef or chicken) over a bed of vermicelli rice noodles, along with a bunch of other components like bean sprouts, julienned cucumbers and their pickled radish and carrots, in addition to a fish sauce dressing. Once everything is mixed up, this is such a wonderfully fresh and filling dish. Be U is Very highly recommended for all to discover!

A HIDDEN GEM FOR DELICIOUS VIETNAMESE CUISINE PROS------- FOOD: The food is top notch and tastes authentic, at least I think it was. There is no "LA" spin to the dishes and have a homemade fresh taste. Bahn Mi was juicy and flavorful, and my personal favorite was the popcorn chicken and corn! SERVICE: Very friendly and welcoming, the food was prepared quickly PICKUP: Because the streets can be a bit crowded, they have a designated pickup spot out front which is super convenient if you order ahead for takeout They now have a cute side patio if you want to eat there as well!

During this Bahn Mi seeking phase of my existence, happy I tried this place. They have a pay what you can option and are helping the community in other ways. So cool during these challenging times. Brings me some small joy to support a business doing good for folks in the community. Its a cute walk up window. My Banh Mi was excellent, big size with a generous portion of tasty lemongrass chicken and fresh veg on a crispy/soft baguette. Very kind service. Thank you Be U!

We love everything about Be U! Our food was delicious! As a family of 5, with our 3 little girls, we ordered 1 Lemongrass Chicken Noodle Plate, 1 Grilled Pork Banh Mi, and 1 Another Cluckin' Chicken Sandwich to share. Everything was savored and devoured. Then Chef Uyen brought us out the most beautiful Albacore Tuna dressed with Yuzu, micro greens, lychee, and this incredible dipping. Chef Uyen is experimenting with new recipes for specials and shared it with us. She told us where they source the tuna and how she prepares it. Our girls listened with rapt attention. The staff were kind, attentive and helpful. Their smiles were infectious! The food came out quickly to our table in their cute little patio. Our girls loved looking at the flowers growing. We found street parking easily. Lastly, their social media shares how they have been positively impacting the community through giving out meals and service projects. They are using their platform to care for marginalized people in the community. Overall 10/10 recommend!

This location on Wilshire Blvd in Koreatown is the smallest of the three I've visited, with under 10 seats available. It's a compact shop, and most customers opt for takeout. It's a narrow shop, and most customers take their orders to-go. I've previously enjoyed the La Paradiso and La Toscana, with the La Paradiso being my personal favorite. For our first visit with our son, we asked the staff for recommendations, and they suggested either the Venice Beach (Turkey) or the New Yorker (Roast Beef). The staff was incredibly generous, offering a roast beef sample, which our son loved! We also appreciated them providing ice and straws for our water. We ordered the New Yorker ($19.00) with roast beef, porcini cream, tomato, and arugula. The sandwich was thoughtfully cut in half, perfect for sharing. The schiacciata bread boasts a crispy exterior and a soft, chewy interior, which beautifully complements the meats and cheeses. We opted to substitute the porcini cream for mozzarella, which was sliced into perfect bite-sized pieces and tasted incredibly fresh. The roast beef was thinly sliced and tender, the tomatoes were fresh and sliced to perfection, and the arugula added a delightful peppery crunch. It's a well-balanced sandwich and one of the best in LA. We would definitely order it again. A big thank you to the female staff member who expertly cut the meat and offered samples, assisting us in making the perfect choice for my son's sandwich. This experience was truly a positive one for our family. I would definitely return to AAV for the excellent food and service. Given the small size of the shop, takeout is recommended, especially during peak hours. The sandwiches at AAV are so good! Fuggedaboutit!

Order online and have some jump out of the car to pick up your order. There is no seating inside but maybe a chair or two outside. The neighborhood is a little rough around the edges so you may want to get that food to go. We tried three sandwiches and they were all huge. The crispy chicken caesar wrap is phenomenal and I am not one who usually orders this particular sandwich anywhere. It comes with a creamy sauce that I might have drank directly from the little cup. The wrap is packed full of chicken and it is refreshing and excellent. It doesn't look huge but trust me, the wrap is packed full and you will be plenty satisfied. The Antonia sandwich comes with turkey, cheese, avocado, tomato, and garlic aioli. It isn't all that unique a creation but for what it is, it is very fresh and very good.
