Chicken with Broccoli in garlic sauce
    Jenny V.

Decided to come here last minute. I was actually grocery shopping and when I was about to get in my car I could smell the food from the restaurant so I figured I'd give this place a try. The restaurant is very clean inside and the staff was friendly. I will say this is probably one of the more expensive Chinese restaurants I've been to. Two combo platters came out to $29. I'm guessing due to inflation and the large portions the price is fair but I was taken back when she told me the cost. I ordered chicken and broccoli. Was a bit disappointed bc the chicken was cut into such small pieces. After eating here I'd say flavor is good and combo platters are great for sharing.

    Orange Chicken with Broccoli

Fast service and great food! The ambiance is mainly pick up to go but the food is greatly done. I did get the orange chicken (my favorite) and Brown rice with broccoli. Everything was done to perfection. My new go to place !

Located in a strip mall with a shop rite, chikfila, nail salon, Sally's beauty supply and a few other things. Came here out of pure convenience on a rainy Saturday night after going to Shoprite. The place is your typical Chinese restaurant on the inside. Very clean and lightly decorated. While there, several people came in to grab take out so they are clearly very busy with take out orders. There were several other people there dining in. We were greeted immediately with menus, water and hot tea. Upon ordering, they brought over crispy noodles with mustard and duck sauce. We ordered steamed dumplings as an appetizer to share. My dad had the hot and sour soup. The soup was great he said. The dumplings were the soft kind of dumplings. They were pretty good honestly. I prefer a thicker dough but I still enjoyed these dumplings and the sauce very much. For dinner we shared chicken lo mein with no vegetables and sweet and sour shrimp. The breading on the shrimp was so much that there was barely shrimp inside. Basically just way too much breading. But the flavor of the sauce was very good. The lo mein was pretty good. The chicken was very good and the noodles were very thin but good. All in all, I would come again but it's pretty typical Chinese restaurant. It's nice but not a place I would crave to go back to.

I am not sure if Management has changed but whatever it was / is needs to be addressed immediately for the sake of not losing customers. Asking to be seated at a different table other than the one we were initially seated at (bc it was right by the door and the wind coming in was freezing) was the first red flag because the hostess seemed bewildered and bothered that we wanted a new table despite there being 50-11 other open tables throughout the joint. It literally then took 15 minutes before our server greeted us and it just kept rolling downhill at a faster and faster rate by the minute. Appetizers done before our cocktails arrived, cocktails done before we could order our entrees, entrees arrived missing key components and it took a good 10 minutes before we could get our server and the minute she walks over she says oh you need the ABC ... ma'am! If you KNEW what we needed why didn't you immediately address it without us having to flag you down???!!!??? And the reason it took 10 minutes to flag her down was because the rest of the floor staff was running around like chickens with their heads cut off ignoring diners trying to get their attention. Oh and the best part was that there was this "figure of management" present ... and I say "figure of management" because he was also ignoring diners and not checking in with them like a restaurant manager typically does ... he was only going to the empty tables cleaning them, slowly adding place settings, rearranging the empty tables ... trying to look busy!!!!! It was honestly comical at one point. We asked for boxes for our food because we still never received all of what was missing despite our server acknowledging it was missing and stating she would bring it back. We literally never ever received it smh . My BF told her this was the worst service we've ever had and it probably didn't even phase her because her attitude overall was just sucky from the beginning. If this is all because of new management they need to go on and get new new management before this place's reputation is ruined.

Our party of 4 were "walk ins" since our reservations got messed up elsewhere. We felt fortunate to get a table last minute. We were seated in the front room which was a bit too bright (!!!). It was a large table for four. The room was quiet (other than a noisy kid a few tables over but that was short lived). So many restaurants are too loud and you have to shout to have a conversation therefore we truly appreciated the solitude. The owner, Bruce, came over to greet us. We appreciated his gesture as he obviously cares about his customers. He told us a little bit about the restaurant. We ordered a round of cocktails. The only Rose wine on their wine list had to go back as it had a nasty taste...3 of us agreed on that. It was quickly replaced with white wine. House Scotch was a generous pour and very smooth. Martini also good. I thought prices were reasonable on the alcohol. On to the food. Crab cakes were excellent as Bruce recommended. I enjoyed the fish and chips and our other friend seemed to enjoy the meat loaf. I thought the menu was ideal...sandwiches offered as well as dinners. I believe it is the same menu all day...which I like...sometimes we just want a sandwich for dinner. Our server was very good (thank you Christine). It was all timely and not rushed. Next time we hope to be seated in the room that faces the river. It had better atmosphere and view of the river. Much nicer than the front room. Hubby would like to add King George in our rotation of restaurants. We will definitely be back. I am glad to see that Bristol has improved a lot over the years. The walkway along the river was all lit up and it was such a beautiful night. Lots of people strolling around and others fishing on the dock. Overall we were very happy that it all worked out and we stumbled on a great place. I highly recommend.

They picked a perfect spot in Bristol Borough that they seemed to have partnered with Naked Brewing on. If you have kids the downstairs area is ok, but with live music I had to take my son upstairs to preserve our hearing! We found parking in the large municipal lot behind the building. Upstairs we found cozier seating at a high top table with service. Downstairs I believe you have to walk up to the bar or just sit at the bar for service. I also don't believe the full beer menu is available downstairs. The menu is full of tempting toppings and styles with your choice of regular/footlong dogs, hot sausage or kielbasa. I had a hot sausage with pepper hash and coleslaw. It had a snappy skin, decent heat and was delicious when paired with the sweet coleslaw and pepper hash. My friend ordered frank and tots and reported it to be delicious and filling. My son had a regular dog and we all shared a big pretzel with beer cheese. I had an IPA named Thank Frank that was about average for a West Coast style IPA and my pal had a couple of their darker offerings that he wasn't impressed with. Our server was nice and gave a great recommendation to add the pepper hash. She wasn't the fastest at coming to check on our beers so we bailed. I had one and she never asked if I wanted another and never refilled our waters. Prices weren't too bad. I would definitely return for some more of the interesting creations on the dawg menu, but the brews are really nothing special. Good solid time here and kid friendly, not so great service or beer.

People love this place ... I say that because we were there late afternoon during the week and it was busy ... and it kept getting busier. I do understand why folks love it tho, because there's no other real seafood "shack" in the area specifically where folks can get their blue claw crabs. It truly does look and feel like a seafood shack because the wooden walls, brown paper on the table, paper towels on the table and overall decor scream "We are at the beach in a small southern town in the middle of nowhere where" lol Our server was great! She was very attentive and made recommendations... she was also very patient with us given that this was our first time here and we're a bit undecided on what we wanted to order. Now on to the food - this is honestly where I was underwhelmed. The broiled seafood had a whisper of flavor, the crab cake left a lot to be desired and the garlic buffalo shrimp were overwhelmingly buffalo sauce on top of fried shrimp. Now the clam chowder I had was amazing and I even ordered some to go. My friend enjoyed her crab legs meal overall and perhaps if we visit again that's the route I'll go. Oh and it's also a BYOB , so, be sure to grab your favorite bottle and bring it on in.
