Chicken with Broccoli in garlic sauce

Decided to come here last minute. I was actually grocery shopping and when I was about to get in my car I could smell the food from the restaurant so I figured I'd give this place a try. The restaurant is very clean inside and the staff was friendly. I will say this is probably one of the more expensive Chinese restaurants I've been to. Two combo platters came out to $29. I'm guessing due to inflation and the large portions the price is fair but I was taken back when she told me the cost. I ordered chicken and broccoli. Was a bit disappointed bc the chicken was cut into such small pieces. After eating here I'd say flavor is good and combo platters are great for sharing.

    Orange Chicken with Broccoli

Fast service and great food! The ambiance is mainly pick up to go but the food is greatly done. I did get the orange chicken (my favorite) and Brown rice with broccoli. Everything was done to perfection. My new go to place !

Located in a strip mall with a shop rite, chikfila, nail salon, Sally's beauty supply and a few other things. Came here out of pure convenience on a rainy Saturday night after going to Shoprite. The place is your typical Chinese restaurant on the inside. Very clean and lightly decorated. While there, several people came in to grab take out so they are clearly very busy with take out orders. There were several other people there dining in. We were greeted immediately with menus, water and hot tea. Upon ordering, they brought over crispy noodles with mustard and duck sauce. We ordered steamed dumplings as an appetizer to share. My dad had the hot and sour soup. The soup was great he said. The dumplings were the soft kind of dumplings. They were pretty good honestly. I prefer a thicker dough but I still enjoyed these dumplings and the sauce very much. For dinner we shared chicken lo mein with no vegetables and sweet and sour shrimp. The breading on the shrimp was so much that there was barely shrimp inside. Basically just way too much breading. But the flavor of the sauce was very good. The lo mein was pretty good. The chicken was very good and the noodles were very thin but good. All in all, I would come again but it's pretty typical Chinese restaurant. It's nice but not a place I would crave to go back to.

Favorite place to get beef and broccoli. Have gone here for years with my family and it's actually where I planned my first date.

People love this place ... I say that because we were there late afternoon during the week and it was busy ... and it kept getting busier. I do understand why folks love it tho, because there's no other real seafood "shack" in the area specifically where folks can get their blue claw crabs. It truly does look and feel like a seafood shack because the wooden walls, brown paper on the table, paper towels on the table and overall decor scream "We are at the beach in a small southern town in the middle of nowhere where" lol Our server was great! She was very attentive and made recommendations... she was also very patient with us given that this was our first time here and we're a bit undecided on what we wanted to order. Now on to the food - this is honestly where I was underwhelmed. The broiled seafood had a whisper of flavor, the crab cake left a lot to be desired and the garlic buffalo shrimp were overwhelmingly buffalo sauce on top of fried shrimp. Now the clam chowder I had was amazing and I even ordered some to go. My friend enjoyed her crab legs meal overall and perhaps if we visit again that's the route I'll go. Oh and it's also a BYOB , so, be sure to grab your favorite bottle and bring it on in.

Walking in it was lively in the bar area because they were having a trivia night where you can win gift cards. They also have other daily events and happy hours which was great to know. We were immediately seated and our server arrived a few minutes later which was nice bc it gave us time to peek at the menu which is extensive but it was really fun because it's an actual little newspaper which was cute. We ordered the crab dip and a mango martini for me and a blood orange margarita for him of which all three were really good! So much crab dip that we took 1/2 home. And the bread and veggies they serve it with both hit! Entree wise we both ordered items we felt would tell us all we needed to know regarding whether or not they were a legit seafood restaurant - a fried shrimp basket and a broiled combo platter .... BOTH AMAZING! The fried shrimp were MASSIVE and the broiled platter was well seasoned and cooked wonderfully. We had no room for dessert but the menu sounded great. Oh our server was also wonderful! I wish I remembered her name, but she was a tall, blonde young lady with a great sense of humor. So glad our original dinner plans fell through and we finally wound up here - we will be back!

I remember having this type of preparation at Charlie Brown's back in the day, which was formerly in this space. we chose salads & baked potatoes as our sides, and the salads were substantial and fresh.warm rolls with butter came alongside. after a nice interval, entrees arrived piping hot and the baked potatoes were perfect. my husband got seafood au gratin which was delectable. my cod was delicious- buttery crispy topping and succulent fish. we were too full for dessert but they looked good. service was efficient and helpful, even with a busy room.

I first tried some take out from them when my husband and I just moved into the area, & I was trying to get a feel for the good food spots. What I got was ehhhhh not memorable. It confused both of us that it seemed like a nice building, but the parking lot was never full- even on the weekends. A girlfriend of mine was visiting this evening, and we originally wanted to venture to Curtains Wharf for an outdoor on the water experience. An hour and a half wait, no thank you, and I said hey, let's go to Il Portico-been meaning to. Inside is very dated. It's got the vibes of a 1950's Italian cigar lounge. Again not busy, maybe 5 or 6 tables the whole twoish hours we were there. However, the staff seemed to really be trying to accommodate you, everyone was polite and helpful. A cocktail list and wine by glass list would really go far. We got some bread for the table, some of it was kind of rock hard & looked day old, but some of what looked like focaccia bread was good. We got excited for carpaccio on the apps side, but were disappointed to find it wasn't beef, but salmon (?) in an Italian restaurant? Odd. And we also saw a lot of Tuna options for entrees, again, odd. I did want steak originally, but NY strip isn't my fave, and I opted for Veal Medallions- very good. Sauce was delicious, veggies cooked just fine. $12 for an Arugula starter salad with legit, one tomato wedge was again ... odd. My friend had the beet salad and Branzino special, said they were both good. Only off thing was her Old Fashioned had the coloration of a Shirley Temple, but the flavor was on par and good. A couple weird little moments but we really enjoyed ourselves & would love to return.

I highly recommend this restaurant to any seafood lover. They prepared our dishes using a wonderful variety of techniques. I was initially hesitant to order the steamed Chilean sea bass, but it turned out to be perfect light, flaky, and with perfectly balanced aromatics that I'll be dreaming about until I return. Our server Vinnie was elegant and funny. He handled all our questions with ease and even brought us a complimentary side dish he personally enjoyed, which was a lovely touch. I felt like I was dining in seafood heaven; each dish was more exciting than the last. And I can't forget about the cocktails! This restaurant definitely has a fancy vibe, you'll want to dress up a bit. We waited close to an hour for our entrees while the restaurant continued to fill up. With a hungry toddler, the long delay made it difficult to enjoy the visit. We also noticed that several nearby tables appeared to receive their entrees before we did, despite arriving after us, which left us feeling overlooked.
