DO NOT USE THIS DEALERSHIP. they deceive you and string you along dragging you into their dealership to sit for 3 hours or more each time. I told them from the start my credit wasn't good at this time and that I had no money down. They called and text and said they will get me a vehicle and to trust them. I currently have to use a walker to get around and told them coming there was hard on me. I jumped through all the hoops they required and then was told we don't currently have a vehicle that would work for you with the bank. Told me I would need a substantial down payment (3k) or a cosignor then they could possibly help me. This was after weeks of going in there. The first week they had a van they claimed that would have worked but they sold it and don't hold vehicles. Then lied to me for a month and strung me along. I'm mad at myself for trusting shifty salesman Victor and the manager Josh. So I'll begin just from the start, I bought a Chrysler Pacifica at Jeep of Chicago.. with unknown issues seems like the dealer just wanted to get the money but never made sure the car was running right,... As a new neighbor in poplar Grove I found kunes GMC, in Belvidere... Since I bought a warranty for my princess Pacifica... I took it to the shop.. Casey took it upon himself to call the warranty and make sure that they will check every item that was malfunctioning.. above All odds, he helped me prove my car had many issues when I bought it... Jeep Chicago gave me the run around .. I was very upset.. thousands of dollars I thought gone down the drain. That's when Casey stepped in and helped me prove that was not my fault and the warranty should cover most of the items . After almost a month I went to pick up my Chrysler Pacifica it now runs free as a bird, the way you should be since the beginning... Thanks to my hero Casey at kunes that helped me believe in miracles... I'm such a happy customer and will definitely come again for any other issues in any of my cars... Thiefs! I am dumfounded and the audacity of these people! My wife traded in her car and removed the iPass. As we did not travel on Christmas, I did not immediately change the iPass information. I went on the iPass website today and see that the car she traded in has been driving on the tollway and did not have a new iPass so I got charged close to $20. Horribly dishonest!! read more

At the end of February 2024, my check engine light came on. We took it into Kunes in Belvedere, Illinois. The part it needed was back ordered. They were kind enough to let us use a loaner car. Fast forward to October/November 2024, the part FINALLY came in. But this is where things went haywire. Depending on who you talk to, the car was fixed, and put on the lot with the hood not totally latched. Or the car had a dead battery and they maybe pushed it out from the building to jump it. By the way, the car is electric. The battery is in the trunk. Anyway, a strong wind gust came and blew the hood up and consequently the hood flipped back and wrecked my car. They took the car to their body shop 30 miles away, without my knowledge. We kept calling to find out when my car would be ready, after all, GM had told us that the part had arrived. They finally around November 20th, told us that the car was wrecked, and their legal department was reviewing it. And then silence. We called and waited. Then it seems that the paralegal was supposed to notify the insurance company, but she didn't, and then she was on vacation. Around December 20, the insurance company finally contacted us, and asked about our faulty hood latch. Really? The insurance company has finally told us how much we will receive for my totaled 2017 car. Not as much as I would have expected, but we have tried to be gracious during this debacle. Yesterday, we found out the price of one of the cars we have been looking at. Kunes did not drop the price by even one dollar. When we asked about that, we were told that it belongs to a different Kunes, so they can't drop the price. I thought they were all owned by the Kunes family? They were negligent, and we have been lied to, we have been ignored, we have never raised our voices. And yet, they expect us to give them more money after they destroyed my car. According to their website and all of their advertising, "Kunes Auto Group has stayed true to our values with our slogan of Faith, Family, and Giving Back. These four words embody what Kunes Auto Group is all about." Faith and Values? We feel that is an advertising ploy for trying to show how wonderful they are. 1 John 1:6 NLT "So we are lying if we say we have fellowship with God but go on living in spiritual darkness; we are not practicing the truth." I told them flat out no I have low credit and a repo on my history, all dealerships have turned me down. Next thing 2 managers, managers not regular sales staff but actually managers! While looking for a car, people told me NOT to go to Kunes, so what did I do? Go to Kunes. I wish I would had listened better. I love my Jeep. Is it over priced? Absolutely. The one thing that bothers me the most is that they weren't up front about the price. I saw the online price, so I just assumed that's the price I got. My dealer told me that it was a little bit more than online (why would you post a price online that you aren't keeping in store beats me)- however everything is included such as tire and rim service, etc. They told me a monthly price and I just went with it- especially because I was in desperate need of a car and my credit was good. I didn't actually find out the complete price until I started making monthly payments. Outrageous. And then I started noticing marks on the car- which, I'll admit- we should had looked over the car at purchasing, but since we were both first time car buyers from a dealership, I looked past it. Do I love my Jeep? Absolutely. They gave us a free first oil change, and I'll admit I love the service they provide. Skip to several months later, our car was in an accident. I took it to get repaired (back axel damage- which the guys at Kunes- shout out- noticed, however when I take it into the shop, suddenly I have front axle damage too. This is just crazy to me, mostly because the front was never damaged. But now looking at the dent when we initially purchased, I'm wondering if they didn't disclose other information to us. This place has a system all planned out for bringing people to the store by misleading them into pre approval I talked to a guy named Tyler over the phone after I inquired about a car online. gave him my info and e said he had me approved for the money monthly and what he'd pay for my trade in. So he see me to come meet him and he would be there the next day from 9-9. I made an appointment and went just to find out he works from home. Then they pushed another salesman on me and reran my paperwork just to tell me the payment would be $600 a month from the $300 he told me over the phone. I purchased a GMC Arcadia from this dealer. I explained what my family needed and trusted them to be honest. They showed me the vehicle and how it had just came in from supposedly 1 owner. Test drove it and it appeared to be fine. After I purchased it and put it on the highway the problems began. After 55mph it started to shake and when winter hit electrical problems and the transmission started slipping whenever I had to stop uphill. I would have to roll backwards until it flat enough to catch. Embarrassing! Wanted charge a large amount of money to fix it or wanted several thousand more to exchange for only Yah knows what! Recently received a mass mailing item from this dealer advertising a "reprocessed car sale". They defined Reprocessed Vehicle as "(noun) A late model pre-owned vehicle that has undergone a 115-point interior, exterior, mechanical and safety inspection, conditioning and has been warranted for reliability". Whatever. However, the best part is the fact that it arrives as a brochure stating "WIN BIG". Pull tabs are found and you uncover symbols that match the "winning symbols" along the side. For example, I had three vehicles that I uncovered which supposedly corresponded to $10,000 cash. Not so fast! Reading the "mouse" print at the bottom of the brochure, I found, "PRIZE WINNERS ARE DETERMINED BY ENTERING THE BARCODE NUMBER ON THE MAILPIECE THROUGH A KIOSK AT THE DEALERSHIP.
