U could tell they are really authentic. I really love the Chili oil and vinegar they provide. They are for free and u can just take it at ur own convenience. Service (2/5): The servers and people taking your order are a bit inattentive and not particularly friendly. However they got the food out with no issue. Sometimes the littlest details can help draw conclusions on much larger issues. I'm going to call it the Van Halen corollary. In the 1980s, the party-rock superstars in Van Halen demanded, via a clause embedded in their tour rider, that no brown-colored M&Ms be allowed backstage at their concerts. Upon placing my order, I noticed at the pickup area there was a bucket of pickled mustard greens. While to the casual observer this may seem like a random receptacle of questionably edible vegetables bits, if one grew up in a household with a Taiwanese grandma or had the privilege of going to any reputable noodle shop in Taiwan, this is an essential condiment to adding the right amount of acidity and vegetal/textural contrast to cut against the succulent pieces of meat and tendon. I finally got to try Kung Fu Kitchen out recently and fell in love with their scallion pancake with beef. No need to venture out to Flushing since it tastes the same, maybe better. I find myself coming back here very often to get this and I usually ask for less hoisin sauce in the pancake. The other things I've tried were their sticky rice shumai and popcorn chicken. They were tasteless. I haven't gotten a chance to try their ramen noodle soup and soup dumplings (I heard they were good) yet since I always take my order to go. Those things taste the best when you eat it there or while it's still hot. I usually eat my food atleast an hour later. No longer will I have to settle for batch cooked chinese/American food (looking at you Panda Express) or Freshly batched cooked chicken teriyaki (that would be you Sarku). The soup dumplings are cooked to order, so there is going to be a 10-15 wait. The dumplings themselves come out steaming hot with the broth inside the dumpling. While savory, the broth was a little light and could have been richer. Otherwise, it's exactly what I expected. This joint is shockingly good for a random stall in a mall next to a Charley's Cheesesteaks - I'm still in awe that I can get Soup dumplings and spicy Taiwanese style beef noodle soup in a food court in Nassau. Definitely check it out. Note that their ramen is not the Japanese ramen that you may be expecting, they use La mien which is a similar type of noodle but the flavors are all very Chinese an deliciously so. My to go place at the food court they are located ! They have a huge stall which includes seating and TV's that show their craftsmanship and how they were founded and the meaning behind their foods ! First time having ramen and it was ABSOLUTELY DELICIOUS! I ordered the spicy beef ramen and it was tender, juicy, and delicious! I chose the hand cut noodles and they were mouth watering and the blend of spices all worked well with the meat. The meat wasn't gamy or anything it was perfect and it had this little bbq char to it that gave it this Smokey taste. It was my first time having ramen and I've always wanted to give it a try but I would have to say that you have to wait till you sip on that spicy, tangy, and delicious broth at the end! I've been here three times since they opened. It's a great bowl of noodles for when you don't feel like driving out to Flushing. Kung Fu Kitchen took over the space that used to be Galangal Thai. Kung Fu Kitchen is MUCH better than the old Thai place. I'm not sure where these guys got their start, but it's definitely not their first time making noodles. They do noodle soups and dried noodles, all using fresh hand-pulled or hand-shaved noodles. My favorite here is the beef ramen with hand-shaved noodles. I love hand-shaved noodles because they are literally shaved off a ball of dough with a knife. This means every noodle is unique. Each noodle has varying widths and thicknesses. This makes for a super chewy experience that just makes me happy. The beef shank is nicely cooked, flavorful, and tender. The broth is surprisingly complex. Add some hot chili oil and you're in business. They have a spicy beef ramen option on the menu, but you can save the $0.50 and just order the normal one and add the hot oil yourself. The spicy version comes with a different version of chili oil which lends a slightly more complex numbing spicy, but it's mild and I prefer the taste of their normal hot oil. Kung Fu Kitchen is more than satisfactory for the area. Is it as good as the noodle shops in Flushing? No. But it'll definitely satisfy the craving without having to drive all the way into Flushing. read more

So I was hungry, and I was craving some warm comforting food. I was walking around in the food court, and I was surprised to see a place offering soup dumplings. I figured they wouldn't be any good. I figured they would be dry and bland. I figured they probably made them from frozen. But boy was I wrong! After I ordered soup dumplings with crab & pork which was $11.39 with tax, they took out fresh dough and began forming the dumplings. I was so surprised that they made the soup dumplings so fresh. My order took around 10 mins, and they called my number when it was ready. I saw they had chili oil and pickled mustard as toppings at the counter. The toppings were kind of hard to grab because you have to shove a large spoon into a tiny sauce container. They give you a convenient take out container, useful for continuing all the soup and keeping it warm. I usually like to dip my soup dumplings in sauce, but there wasn't room for that. So I poured the soy sauce on top with the whole oil and pickled mustard greens. When I bit into the dumplings omg, it was so hot and tasty I burnt my tongue. I was a bit careful with the next one and bit into it first, and waiting a bit for the inside to cool down before devouring it. They have convenient bar top seating around the restaurant. This was a very satisfying light lunch. I want to try their hand pulled noodles nest. And their Tawainese fried popcorn chicken! I never knew there was such a place with high quality fresh food inside of a mall! I definitely didn't expect this. The system here is really orderly; everyone gets a buzzer once they order, and there's a specific place where you pick up your order. I had the spicy beef ramen and it was alright. The noodles did seem fresh and bouncy. but the smell of the dish was pretty awful. If you've ever been to an international market and have been through the back where all the raw meat is stored, it smells like that. They do put a lot of beef in the ramen; in the beef, you can see all the fat in between which makes the beef even better. The soup was okay, just alright.
