I really enjoyed going to this establishment pre-COVID but I won't be back for the foreseeable future. With COVID being on the rise I was amazed at the amount of people Kung Fu Tea allowed in the building. I went to order a beverage and there were quite a few people inside but not alarming. After a few minutes there were upwards of 20+ (at least two bigger groups) people in the establishment without the workers trying to have some people wait outside. I'm not sure of Chattanooga guidelines but it made me very uneasy and a boba tea isn't worth risking COVID over. read more

Finally a Kung Fu Tea in Tennessee! I've tried Kung Fu Tea around the country and am so excited for there to finally be one in Tennessee. Every drink I've tried here I've always loved. My favorites are the lychee black tea and classic black milk tea. The lychee black tea actually has lychee pieces in the drink - haven't found one other boba place that does this. Really delicious if you're craving something refreshing. The classic black milk tea is definitely something you should get if it's your first time getting boba or you're just not sure what to get. It's very light & a definite must-try. I sometimes 70% sugar but they're usually good at not making their drinks overly sweet in the first place. This location is located near downtown Chattanooga and has plenty of seating and games to play with while drinking. Boba is always so soft and chewy. Overall a solid location for Kung Fu Tea and a great addition to Chattanooga. read more

I have never written a review, but the customer service was so bad that I have to for here. I wasn't sure of the drink I wanted, but was rushed even though there was no one else in there. I didn't get the chance to ask if it had tea in it which it didn't. So I got a drink that was not good and tried to ask the girl what it was, but was just served up some attitude on a sliver platter. So the drink wasn't what I wanted and it wasn't good, but the cherry on top was the girl and her horrible attitude. Now that I know I can customize my drink to my liking - how sweet, how much ice, I'd have to say they're the best boba tea I've found in town so far. They have a massive selection. This was my first experience trying bubble tea and for those who haven't had a lot of experience....it isn't an easy menu. The lady working on April 7 2021 (1pm) was absolutely unwilling to provide any guidance. We were the only people ordering and after several attempts to ask questions she just completely ignored us. I remember when this place first opened up I was so excited because before that we didn't have a boba tea place in downtown Chattanooga. I am sad to say that each time I have been here I have left disappointed, my drink has never been good it's always tasted like plain milk with a hint of flavor. Not exactly like real milk tea I have had before. Since then TaiChi Boba Tea opened up downtown as well and I have loved that place ever since! The milk tea tastes authentic and their sushi burritos and poke bowls are really good and made with fresh ingredients. Today I wanted boba tea and my family suggested we get some at Kung Fu Tea and although I had not liked them in the past, I went anyway since the majority of my fam wanted a certain drink from there so I thought it doesn't hurt to try them again. Well today I had the worst experience ever! When I first came in the young lady with dark hair didn't even greet me, on the contrary she looked bothered by my presence as soon as I walked in she had a noticeable attitude. Let's also state that at this time it was not busy what so ever I was the only customer in the entire store. Well I was on the phone with my mom trying to find out which exact drink she wanted by looking at the poster menus on the wall, my mom was on FaceTime with me trying to direct me to the drink, however when I was trying to see which one she wanted there where napkins and straws stored in front of the counter blocking the menu so I scooted it over a bit so I could see the rest of the menu and the lady at the counter looked over and me and rudely said "can you not do that." And I simply explained to her that I was just trying to see the menu the one specific drink I was looking for was covered by stuff. And when I explained that to her she got argumentative with me and defensive saying she had the right to tell me not to touch stuff and that she had to make sure I didn't touch anything else again. She didn't even try to help me figure out what drink I was looking for she could have asked if I needed help when I was clearly trying to find a certain drink, but instead she felt the need to argue with me over moving the napkins to the side. She never apologized she stood her ground and was defensive about the entire situation so I left angry and came back to taichi boba tea where I was treated way better by the employees and got some delicious drinks! read more

I LOVE this tea shop. Bubble tea has become my new favorite drink. The boba is so fun! The employees are so sweet. I don't know much about bubble tea and they took the time to walk me through the menu and make suggestions. Say hi to cute red head girl for me!
