We have a kung fu tea in GA but I haven't been in years. I think the taste is consistent between locations from what I remembered. My drink, the sunshine pineapple tea was really refreshing after biking the bridge and downtown Chattanooga. There were real pineapple bits in the drink. The shop was cool, nicely decorated-cool atmosphere, and the drink was good. Sometime they have promo drinks, I remembered a final fantasy one awhile back. I can't tell you how excited I was to learn about this place! Having a bubble tea locale near my favorite area of town. I fell in love with all types of bubble tea while in Beijing. My first visit I ordered the mango bursting bubbles with green tea. The mango bubbles were delicious but the green tea was acrid...like the leaves were left in the water too long. To start, I have always heard great things about Kung Fu Tea. Many of my friends make frequent trips to Atlanta in order to have their various teas and drinks. So when I heard that a location had opened here in Chattanooga, I knew I needed to try it! When I walked in, I was greeted with a smile by two of the workers. They asked if I needed any help ordering or if I needed any suggestions. They were very friendly and accommodating with my order, since this was my first time trying milk tea. I ordered the Thai Milk Tea with Bubbles and Less Sugar (70% of the normal amount). When I received my drink, I was very happy with my choice! The option of changing the sugar level within the drink was nice, since I prefer my teas to be less sweet. They range from No Sugar (0%) all the way to Extra (120%), so everyone should be able to find their desired sweetness level. In addition to the milk teas, they also have classic hot and iced teas, slushes, and fruity drinks. I believe that they also have plans to sell small snacks at some point. I will definitely be returning here to try more flavors of the milk tea and others drinks they have! Kung Fu Tea is a great addition to the North Shore lineup of restaurants and shops, and I HIGHLY suggest everyone come support this business! read more

I have tried several bubble tea places around town. This is by far my favorite one. My drink of choice is the Cocoa Wow. The tapioca pearls are marinated in brown sugar. The milk cap is just amazing. I've ordered take out several times since the covid-19 shutdown. They were going to great lengths to follow safe guidlines. I have also tried the grapefruit yogurt tea with passionfruit bobas. I love how Chattanooga has a kung fu tea but the ones in other location taste better. The tapioca texture was Harry and not soft and chewy like the rest of kung fu I've been too. So my experience here is that sometimes I get good Nd nice service then other times I don't. I usually order the same thing a mango snow slush with mango jelly or mango popping bubbles. The boba balls are good to me and don't have a strong flavor. The mango popping bubbles are good and juicy and the mango jellies are a more dulled flavor but is still good. This place is quickly becoming an addiction. I actually like it more than I like Starbucks. The bubbles in the tea are made of tapioca and they are chewy and yummy. In addition you can get fruit or fruit popping bubbles that are really yummy too. I have tried four different ones now and the Almond milk with bubbles is my favorite so far. They have things that do not have milk and things that Do and many many choices. The service is fast and friendly. Everything is completely customizable based on your taste. The most challenging thing is parking because Street parking is the only thing available but usually you can find a spot within a couple of blocks. The exterior of the building is a bit hard to see because there is only a small sign. It is a new and interesting experience that everyone should try. read more

I've been to KFT all over the US. I've been to the one in NY, San Fran, Atlanta (all 3 locations), and finally to this location. The good news is, it is the same KFT everyone knows and loves: the bubbles are chewy and delectable, the tea is brewed well, and it tasted great. I ordered my go-to: Oolong Milk Tea with 0% sugar, and it tasted same as my usual spot in Atlanta. You can still use your KFT app on your phone to rack up the bubbles to earn your points. The only complaint I have is that they seem understaffed. I went on a busy Saturday night, and they only had 1 person doing the tea making. That slows everything down, and it took a while for me to get my tea. They need 2 people to pump out the teas. They have the formula on how to make the tea down, they just need to figure out the efficiency. The space is small and cute, like most Kung Fu Teas. They have a few board games if you wanna hang and play them. I highly suggest KFT if you're craving Bubble Tea in the Chattanooga area. read more

I'm a big fan of my local Kung Fu Tea, so I was really excited to see a KFT while vacationing in Chattanooga. The solo staff there had an attitude when I walked in and seemed like I was bothering her by wanting to place an order. I ordered my usual Honey Oolong Tea with Boba and it tasted like there was SOAP in it. I've ordered this drink many, many times and this is the first time it's tasted like that. I asked my husband to try it, without saying anything and his first remark was "Is there soap in this??" Not wanting to risk my health, I threw the drink away. I have never wrote a Yelp review before but I just HAD to. The lady working on December 30th around 6pm was so so rude. Me and my boyfriend came in for boba, I've been to other KFT before and it was really good. I usually get the milk tea with boba and my boyfriend gets a strawberry slush. I asked her what was in the new cocoa wow drink and she explained it to me. I asked her if it had tea in it and she basically acted like I was stupid for asking a question, she did the same thing to my bf when he asked about a drink. when i got my drink (i ended up getting a milk tea with brown sugar boba) and it just tasted like milk, so I politely went up to her thinking maybe she forgot and she was so rude and it was such an easy fix to just put more tea in it maybe??? She was so aggravated that I didn't like the drink and I was being such a huge bother to her. I wasn't being rude at all either which is what I don't get why she had to talk to us as if we were stupid. The tea still had a really weak taste, but I just took the bad drink because I wanted to get out of there. If I had just ONE ticket to go back in time I would use it to walk right past this KFT.
