Of the many bubble tea chains, Kung Fu is one of the best and I'm glad to see that it's found a new home in Cherry Hill. What I like about Kung Fu is that you can "control" how sweet (more, normal, less, half, little, none) and how much ice (more, normal, less) your drink has. Also, there's a nice variety of bubbles, jelly, pop bubbles, and herbal jelly you can add to your drink. And what's more... they use real tea!! Holy smokes, that's a rare one. They actually even sell their black, green, and oolong teas in bags. The decor is beautiful but I'm not really one to just drive here and sit around in this strip mall bubble tea house. I wish they opened this in more of a walkable town like Collingswood, Haddonfield, or Moorestown but having the parking is nice. Yelp check-in gets you one size larger for the price of a regular but the day I went (think, really hot day in the end of April where everyone will get bubble tea...) they ran out of large cups!! It's a shame really. I could've used a large taro green milk bubble tea but I'll just settle for a regular sized one. Haven't tried their foods but takoyaki and chicken seemed quite popular. Wish they still had rice balls but looks like that's off the menu now. They also seem to always try to incorporate something new like "snow ice" which is presumably a slush of sorts but hoping to see it continue to do well and bring good bubble tea around these areas. read more

I do love Kung Fu tea, but their prices are a bit expensive if you go often. The oolong milk tea with boba, and the black tea with cheese foam (milk cap), are my favourites. I haven't tried their food though. My only big complaint is that I once got a rosehip milk tea, and the acidity from the rosehip curdled the milk making it undrinkable. Finally good bubble tea in Southern, NJ. A chain I am familiar with as I've had it in NYC and Philly so you kind of know what to expect. I'm not going to lie I have definitely made the trip over to Philly before this place opened just for bubble tea when I was craving it but this place does the trick. Standard bubble tea flavors - I usually get a coffee milk tea, taro or green. I have tried some of the fruitier flavors in the summer when it was hot out but I like to stick to my favorites. Popcorn chicken is pretty good, nothing crazy and the the takoyaki is decent as well. Crepes are delicious, have tried a few - mostly when I didn't have cash and had to spend the $10 minimum to use my card. $10 card minimum is basically my only complaint, I really hate that as I rarely ever have cash on me. If you're ever at any of my family functions or households, than 9/10 you'll always spot Kung Fu Tea drinks. By far, this is our most preferred and visited spot of South Jersey. It's quick, addictive, good, and convenient. Might I also add that this location also makes crepes. Both sweet and savory. So that's a win-win. It may be a small chain, but I hope they expand more. Sitting here drinking my pumpkin oolong milk tea, snacking on takoyaki makes me miss my time in Japan. Added nata jelly ($.50) adds a nice texture for those who aren't a fan of the bubbles, but miss the ever loving obsession with jellied foods in Japan. The takoyaki ($4.50) has all of the flavors notes, despite the half globe shape. I do appreciate it being slightly less hot than molten lava and not losing the layer of my mouth skin. Six little morsels of octopus tucked inside a soft batter, topped with mayonnaise, bonito and nori flakes it is definitely a good intro for those who have not had it from its source. The bumble bee crepe ($6.50), loaded with chocolate chunks and slices of banana, was definitely a substantial snack for one or a nice treat for two. I'll definitely stop by to try out some more of their tea flavors, the list is long and the combinations seem endless. So happy to finally have a good bubble tea place in the area! Kung fu tea has a lot of great bubble tea options, crepes and some other appetizers like popcorn chicken and Takoyaki. The milk tea was really good, pretty comparable to other bubble tea I've had in Chinatown. The staff was really nice and accommodating to help me figure out what I could have with my dietary restrictions. If you have celiac disease like me will be happy to know that the bubbles here are gluten free- I read the packaging myself! They also have When we came there were a few of families here playing board games and eating at the tables. They have some high up tables and some low couches with low tables. I have had bubble tea before at a mall or other dubious establishment and thought ... why? this is disgusting with slimy gelatinous goo in the bottom so decided that bubble tea is not for me. UNTIL........ KFT. My oldest daughter, a fan of Asian cuisine, talked me in to taking her and her sister to this place. I of course said yes because, well lets be honest, I am a sucker when it comes to them. We arrived at a clean cheery storefront with some tables and sofas and got to ordering. We had a green milk tea with bubbles, the Italian mocha slushie with bubbles and I had the pineapple slushie. Was a mind altering experience for me. The pineapple tasted like fresh pineapple pureed and sent to live in a cup with a shrink wrap top as opposed to a traditional lid. The mocha was better than anything Starbucks ever made and the green tea was herby and delightful. Now I still am not really a fan of the bubbles BUT just say no to them! Very good. My tea was tasty, even though it was too sweet for me ( I forgot to tell them to not add sugar to mine). I like that they have on the menu different sugar levels that you can pick from and what they mean. The pearls were tastier than most places I've had, and my understanding is that they make the pearls every two hours. My favorite is usually the matcha, and I didn't try it this time because I wanted something caffeine free, so I got the Kung Fu Honey Tea. It was tasty. Lots of teenagers in there, and I think that's a good thing, a bubble tea place seems like a good place for underage kids to hang out and play some games. I am very glad this exists. You need to spend $10 to use a card, which is pretty steep. You'd have to get 2 large drinks to spend that much. That's really the only reason that Kung Fu doesn't get 5 stars. read more

Came on 1/20 around 1:25 PM and dealt with pretty bad customer service. The girl at the cashier who was wearing glasses was pretty rude and completely mistook my bubble tea order. I ordered an Oreo milk tea with less ice and no bubbles. She gave me a regular milk tea with bubbles. I came in with a large group because we wanted to grab something sweet before continuing on our road trip. We were all contemplating what to get by looking at the menu. It was obvious she was pretty impatient and wanted to rush us a bit by repeatedly shouting that she could take whoever's next. It was clear we were all still looking at the menu. We noted how there was a $10 card minimum before finalizing our orders but she shouted that there was an ATM with an extremely annoyed look on her face -- we ordered collectively instead to meet the minimum requirement. I understand that with big groups, you want to put in orders quickly so you can complete them quickly too. However, we were an adult group who weren't making any commotions or disrupting the store. The impatience and rude attitude wasn't called for. In customer service, the least you could do is smile -- especially if you have a tip jar implemented at the register too. I love the KFT chain and the seating here is great, which is why I'm giving it 3 stars. Hopefully the cashier was just having a bad day and that's not how the service usually is. read more

Had to consider having an intervention a while back for my boyfriend who was wanting to come here twice a day....things have settled down since then thank goodness. I really like this place , they offer crepes and popcorn chicken and of course a large variety of teas! I have tried quite a few different ones and I probably really loved about half of them. The "punch" drinks are more my cup of tea being that they are much sweeter than the teas. You can add a variety of things to your drink but I've only tried the bubbles. Service is hit or miss and I wouldn't recommend hanging out inside during the summer as they don't have the air on....but other than that it's a great place! read more

Ah, but what a joy to find this gem so much closer to home! Simple little joint in a simple little strip mall, King Fu Tea offers a wide variety of interesting and exotic drinks as well as a few menu item to nibble on if you're hungry but you may find the delightfully chewy tapioca "bubbles" in the bubble tea will quell your appetite nicely. One word of caution! Be careful not to "inhale" the tapioca "bubbles"! They're slippery little devils and if you're not careful they could easily wind up in your wind pipe! When I first learned a bubble tea place was opening on the east side of the Ben Franklin Bridge, I was excited! Especially since now I don't have to stop by Philadelphia Chinatown on my way home from work, find and pay for parking, in order to get my bubble tea fix (on the occasion that I was in the mood for it.. which is very often!) I came opening day, opening weekend, and the two days following that. I believe between my husband and I, we were at Kung Fu tea everyday for about 5 days (not great for our wallet!) but like I had said, we were excited to have the convenience. During opening weekend, they offered Buy One, Get One, but the catch was that it was limited to only a list of 4 options, and you had to get the same exact flavor. A bit disappointed, but whatever, free is free. This led to us learning that the Oolong milk tea was the best. I do wish they would better advertise that you are able to customize your drink and ask for less sugar and less or no ice because I kept on forgetting to ask every time I went. If you want to add the bubbles (tapioca), herbal jelly, or pudding (among others), each is another 50 cents. The bubbles are decent, the drinks are typically on the sweet side, but not overly sweet. But I think the only good ones are the traditional milk tea or oolong milk tea. I have tried the taro and almond drinks and they pretty much either taste just like the traditional milk tea or somewhat artificial. So here is the reason for my 2 star review (and that is just me being VERY nice.) The service. I don't know if it is just the cultural thing but the cashier is never friendly. He just seems to want to get you in and out. The process of ordering and getting your drink from the same area makes it a big cluster around the entrance and confuses everyone of where the actual line is. Another issue we ran into during our experience was that drinks were hit or miss and the only one that was consistently good was the oolong milk tea. The almond milk tea just tasted like the traditional milk tea and not one bit almond (if anything, more watered down). I almost feel like they just give you whatever they feel like giving you. On that note, my husband had ordered an oolong milk tea, but upon coming home, he realized he got a taro green tea. Like wtf?? How do you mix those up? It doesn't even sound remotely similar. And if the drink had been purple (as taro typically is), my husband would have noticed they punched in the wrong drink in the register, and also my husband had gotten rid of his receipt already so he probably paid more for a drink he didn't want in the first place. Now onto my second problem, on opening day, since I did not know (and it was not explained to me) that the B1G1 was for the same drink, I ordered two different drinks from the list, and he key'd in all four and when I asked why there were 4 drinks, he gave me attitude as if I was suppose to know the offer they had. So when he finally removed the other drinks, I was left paying extra 25 cents for both the free drink and the one I bought. Ok - 25 cents, whatever, I'll consider it as a tip. Two days after, I ordered a Large honey oolong tea in which on the board is $4.25 for a large. On my receipt, I was charged $4.20 +75 cents for Large (he was suppose to charge the medium price, then +75 for the Large size, so technically I overpaid again due to cashier error. Ok - again, whatever, another tip I didn't actually give and if the prices are different, do not advertise one thing, and charge another (so Tip for my fellow Yelpers, make sure you check what they are charging because it seems it is very prone to errors in their favor!) Also, $10 minimum for credit cards. At least make it a more reasonable $5 instead! This is where we drew the last straw and refuse to ever come back again no matter how badly we are craving bubble tea. My husband came on our daily trip. He checked in on Yelp to get the free upgrade in size, but the cashier refused to honor it without a "confirmation code" even though my husband showed him that it says he checked in with the "use it now" button and what have you. Like seriously?? You wouldn't honor a larger size drink to keep a frequent customer happy because of some non-existent code? Frustrated, my husband didn't bother to continue arguing and paid for the drinks and left. We got home, and they messed up the drinks! We had one large and one medium, one was winter melon milk green tea with herbal jelly (suppose to be large and charged for large), the other was oolong milk tea with bubbles (suppose to be medium), but they switched the sizes even though the sticker says otherwise! I will rather drive over the bridge ($5 toll) to Tea Do, pay for parking, than ever come back here. Highly disappointed. read more

I love that they opened up a bubble tea hang out spot in cherry hill! ITS BOMB DIGGITY! The customer service and environment is so chill. Very fun place to hang out with friends. If you're from the area, you'll see every Asian you know. lol it's true! Recommended flavor: Matcha Slush with Boba! So good and it's better with extra boba!! Went tonight and was super excited. Unfortunately since it's so new, there's still some things they definitely need to work out. Ordering the drinks takes a little bit, with a lot of clarification and confusion. If you wanna use the Yelp upgrade the workers keep telling you to press the used button which I understand but after the third times please stop asking me. Another thing is that the worker was semi rude whether it was asking for clarification, refusal to admit that one of my friends had ordered half sweetened, or simply giving the change or waiting for the money. The drinks came out slow cause it was a little busy and they're not efficient in the way they give their drinks out. Instead of utilizing another space and area they call the orders and give them out right next to the cash register wish is super tight and inconvenient. The drinks are okay. Two friends got the honey green milk tea which was good but a little too sweet, I got the honey lemonade which was tart and overpowering until the ice melted to unsweeten and untarten.
