As soon as we entered the establishment, we were hit with the smell of fresh churros frying. The cahsier warmly greeted us and gave us his recommendations. We decided to keep it light and share the Medium Churros with the recommended homemade chocolate sauce. The churros took me back to my trip to Mexico City. They were crispy on the outside, super light, and was complimented with the delicious chocolate sauce. I will be coming back soon to try their other sauces and desserts. If you are ever in the area, Oh Churros is a definite must-try!

A friend and I visited this week and it's a convenient location with easy parking which is always appreciated. The workers were so friendly and it seems like they love their job. We enjoyed our iced latte and tea, but the banana pudding Rice Krispie treat wasn't my favorite. I was surprised by the amount of food they have (chicken and waffles!) so I'll try something else next time. There was plenty of indoor seating and the vibes were relaxed and welcoming.

I hadn't been in the area for a while so I went to Yelp to see if there were any newer options for me to check out. That's when I found Bitty & Beau's and headed straight over. When I arrived I learned that this spot is a coffee shop, self described as a shop, "where people with intellectual and developmental disabilities are valued in the workplace." Their website shares that they employ over 450 individuals with disabilities nationwide. That is when I realized that Bitty & Beau's was actually a chain establishment with 10+ locations spanning from the Midwest and East Coast down to Florida and even Texas. I'm not big on chains, but this is one I can get behind. Very cool. A few things to note... It's located in a shopping complex, which means there's plenty of parking and other businesses like restaurants, a grocery store, etc. The interior is really dark and moody. That's not usually the atmosphere I look for when I'm going to work, meet someone, or hang out for a while. That said, I was able to find a table to prop up for a while. I had trouble with the wifi while I was there and didn't end up staying as long as I had planned because I really needed it. The staff was great! Super friendly, answered questions about their seasonal offerings, and all of that. We even got serenaded by a worker (All Star by Smash Mouth) and I couldn't help but join it. I'll also add that my seasonal lavender latte with oatmilk was $10 which baffled me. However, I did think it was cute that instead of a number to listen for when your order is ready, they would give you a playing card. Mine was the 10 of diamonds and it was ready rather swiftly.

There are no prices listed so must ask and no calorie counts so I have no idea how much I was set back by this shake especially because it was good but also tasted of protein so I assume it was at least somewhat less calorically dense than a McD's shake. Lesson- this place needs to post its prices and nutritional info. Otherwise nice choices, tastes, and decent price for two drinks.

It certainly leaved a lot to be desired just tossed into a styrofoam box without being in a wrap or something like shawarma oftentimes comes in. The spicy sauce on the side was also quite good but kind of overpowered the shawarma itself. It also came with a side of Lay's salt and vinegar chips. Really not a fan of said chips and seems like an opportunity to maybe do something more in line with the cuisine to me. Overall, the food was solid but not necessarily mind-blowing from an appearance or functionality perspective. I'd definitely love to come back to get some of those desserts some other time though!
