Came here to try the new Barbie drinks. I don't really have a location that is too close to me but this one is close to work. I had not paid attention to the menu on the wall so I asked the guy who was working the front what kind of Barbie drinks they had, and he rudely pointed to the menu on the wall. He acted like he was annoyed and unwilling to provide friendly service. I ordered a Barbie Dream Swirl for me and a Fizzy Pink-Aide for my daughter. I had to ask for the straw topper, because he didn't give it to me. Service was a little slow. The inside is small but clean, with places to sit. The drinks were absolutely delicious! The dream swirl was amazing and my daughter loves her drink. I would return for their drinks alone because they are bomb. read more

Pros: I love their grapefruit tea. Cons: i'm not very happy with this location. at the location I normally go to, they will sub oolong tea. I am not a huge green tea fan. I love bubble tea however living on the south side of Dallas limits my accessibility to it. I've actually driven to the location in Richardson as I love this one particular drink and I'm over joyed knowing that there is a location closer to me. With that said I popped in and I stared at the menu trying to think of what I get. The lady behind the counter was extra helpful trying to figure out what I was wanting. I finally told her it has Oreos and bubble tea and she said she thinks she knew what it was and proceeded to make me a drink. One sip in and sadly that wasn't it however here's the kicker - she insisted I try it before I left and although I was gonna suck it up and drink it, she insisted on making me something else. Out comes the next drink and THIS IS IT! She was happy that I was happy and I was even happier because it was loaded with boba AND it wasn't loaded with a bunch of ice. I didn't have to ask for less ice and pay more and seriously it was delicious that my car took me there the next day and it was just as good. I have been an extremely loyal customer of KFT for the past four years, visiting 2-3 times a week and even earning a black belt on the KFT app. This location used to be my absolute favorite, consistently making the best drinks in the entire metroplex. However, everything changed a few months ago when the shop was resold to a new owner. The warning signs were apparent during my last visit with the previous team. The old employees, who were always friendly and efficient, all quit because of issues with the new ownership, and it seems their departure has had a dramatic impact on the quality and service at this location. I finally decided to give the shop another try today, and unfortunately, my experience was deeply disappointing. I always order in advance, and in the past, my drink would be ready promptly, usually even before the designated time. Today, my drink was 25 minutes late. It wasn't even finished until 20 minutes after the promised time--30 minutes after I placed my order! The staff seemed overwhelmed, understaffed, and, frankly, rude. The shop itself was in poor condition, with dirty floors covered in water--something I've never seen before. Adding to the unease, I saw someone deliver groceries for the boba shop from a local store, including lactose milk. 4 grocery bags of lactaid milk from some dude who walked through the front door at 7:42 PM in sweats. Isn't KFT supposed to source ingredients from approved distributors? This felt unprofessional and questionable. I'm devastated that my go-to boba shop has gone downhill so drastically. The atmosphere, service, and drink quality that once made this place special are now completely gone. For anyone seeking great boba in the area, I recommend Feng Cha in Lower Greenville instead. I will not be returning to this KFT location. Also, the drink was terrible. Same drink I've ordered for almost half a decade. This family-run business goes out of their way to make sure it is a good experience for every customer. The parking is a bit strenuous but it is worth it. The Bubbles and the Tea are always fresh and the people who work there are consistently polite and attentive. read more

COVID-19 Review: Holy cow, I love sweet boba, but my rosehip milk tea was like instant diabetes. I got it at regular sweetness and literally could not finish it (and I've never in my life not finished a boba tea; I love super sweet things). Whatever you do, get AT LEAST 50% sweet if not less. It was so sweet that I couldn't even really taste the rosehip flavor; the brown sugar flavor was overpowering. I ordered on the app and for some reason had thought they would bring it to my car, but you do have to go inside. Pick-up was quick and easy; my drink was right there waiting for me. The staff seemed nice, but the Thai milk tea did not have any of the tasting notes the cashier described. It was disappointing that they did not use Earl Grey black tea. (I'm not sure if traditional Thai tea is made with earl grey tea or not). Also, the tea was too strong. I went back to request a remake, and the vibe I felt was unwelcoming, it was not as warm as when I placed the order. I was the only person in the cafe during the time they remade my drink. They called it out and stepped away. I walked up to the counter and grabbed it. I took a sip. It was a little better, but the flavor was the same. No tasting notes of bergamot was anywhere in the drink. I probably will not order another Thai milk tea from that place again. Also, no one followed up with me to make sure I was happy with my drink. Mind you, we almost went to Craft Boba before coming to Kung Fu Tea. I guess Craft Boba will continue to get my money, going forward. When a customer pays '$5.60' for a drink, they should enjoy it! They should not be shunned, when they are not happy with the product. The staff did not exhibit an upbeat attitude, nor a 'let's make it right' attitude. I was pleasantly surprised by this bubble tea shop! I had never been to a Kung Fu Tea before, but in comparison to other boba shops in Dallas this one probably has the widest and biggest variety of flavors and options. I feel the pricing is about typical for bubble tea, and the amount of boba included was great because i didn't run out before the tea was gone and there wasn't a ton left after tea either! The flavor of the classic taro milk tea was a bit sweeter than I'm used to, and the boba had a much stronger honey flavor to it. I am very interested in seeing how a boba shop does in Uptown Dallas, being the relative Asian food desert this area is. My experience during their Grand Opening weekend left a lot to be desired. First off, the buy one/get one free promotion was poorly explained. The promotion only applied to certain drinks, so long story short, I ended paying for two drinks, as they rang up the order before I noticed. Afterward, I saw the cashier explaining the BOGO promotion to the customer after me, so maybe I was the sacrificial guinea pig on that one. Also, we had wait about 20 minutes for our drinks - the staff seemed completely overwhelmed. Finally, they ran out of tapioca! It was only about 3 in the afternoon on the Saturday of their grand opening, which was extremely disappointing. It made the signature KF Milk Tea fairly bland and unsweet. I'm hoping this place makes it. I'll return just because I like boba and there is NOTHING ELSE near downtown Dallas, but I think they still need to work out the kinks here. read more

So happy there's finally a Kung Fu tea so close, it's my favorite green milk tea place! I usually have to go to the one in Carrollton! I think this KFT is still working out the kinks of things, but overall all the workers have been super nice and friendly! Which is always a plus for boba tea places. I will say after coming here a few times that they often can get drink orders messed up, not sure if they're just not double checking the receipts, but they always have no issue fixing it! Also when I first went the sweetness was way off from normal KFTs, and I told them that and they offered to make me a new drink! Since then I think they are pretty on par with normal KFTs in terms of sweetness. Also the nice thing about this KFT is that there is no credit card min yay!! Also a little tip, I would try paying with Chase Pay, because they accept it and they have offers sometimes, but literally every time I came to this KFT they never knew how to work it! Kind of annoying, but I finally figured it out after doing Chase Pay at the KFT in Carrollton! You have to make sure your QR code is slightly away from the scanner and not too close! I tried the s'mores with boba and green tea. The s'mores was a sweet dessert. Nice once I got used to the odd flavor that Hershey's syrup has - it's somewhere between burnt, coffee, and chocolate. The green tea was bitter, like it had been brewed far too long. Maybe it had black tea added, though The menu is very clear, with explanations about sizes, hot/cold, sugar level, and gluten containing items. I LOVE KFT!! They definitely have the best boba and almond milk of the DFW area despite being a chain. I love that I can customize size, sweetness, and ice levels. Whenever I order ahead, they are fast and efficient and gets my order correctly every time! The boba always tastes fresh and not stale no matter what time of day I go there. We come here all the time and the tea is always great. What isn't great, is the customer service. They are supposed to close at 8pm. We arrived at 7:40 and the lights were off and chairs were stacked on top of the tables. 4 customers were inside waiting on their drinks. My fiancée walked inside and was told that they weren't going to do any more orders. You do realize you're supposed to fulfill orders UNTIL YOU CLOSE, right? Pure laziness, maybe.
