One of my favorite bubble tea chains. It's in a nice location close to Katy trail and has parking. The inside is a bit small and old, but was comfortable. There were card games such as exploding kittens, sushi go, and playing cards. All the cards were pretty well maintained and clean. Interesting tea place. I am typically a Tea Lounge drinker but I think they have new competition. I ordered the Green Tea Milk Tea and my goodness, it was not overly sweet -- I hate sweet tea. It was refreshing. I did glance over their food menu. Very interesting. Most boba tea places do not include food. They had fried chicken on the menu. But they were seriously trying to charge $5 for one drum stick? I sure hope the chicken is glazed in 24k gold. Maybe on my next visit, I'll give the food a try! So happy this place is now in Uptown! I came for their grand opening to get the buy one get you free promotion that they were running with their classic milk tea, the Oreo WoW, and their passion fruit green tea. Unfortunately they were out of boba and the wait for fresh bubbles was 20 min. They offered suggestions and I'm glad they did as I tried stuff I never would have otherwise! We got a milk tea with herbal jelly and the Oreo Wow shake with homemade boba. Few things - I love the classic milk tea with boba and although they tried to sell it, just don't like jelly that much. That being said I will be back for my staple drink next time. The Oreo was actually delicious! They don't sweeten it because the boba, traditionally mixed with honey, is mixed with a caramel sauce and thus is sweet as is. The shake is mixed with crumbled Oreos and a great dessert. Staff is very kind and offered different variations of drinks. Few extra things: location is great if you're catching brunch or lunch and want to stop by for tea. There is a parking garage that is shared by all the shops and it can get a little crowded but there is also a parking garage if you need. I was missing one of my favorite tea from Taiwan. I've searched for it at many tea shops and this one has it! 冬瓜茶 (Dong Hua Cha or Wintermelon tea). It's quite expensive for a medium cup but it hit the spot for me! My homesickness for Taiwan melted away by having this tea. read more

Not my favorite boba place in the area, but has some interesting bubble tea options. The place is a bit small and cramped so can't hang around for very long, more of a pick up and go sort of deal. Yet another Kung Fu Tea location but this time in the Knox/Henderson area (finally!). My experiences at other KFT locations were average but my drink was really well executed here. This occurred during their soft opening so their menu was very limited. I had the classic black milk tea and the boba texture was perfect. Tea sweetness was also very appropriate and not too sweet (at normal sugar levels). The store itself is quite small with only a couple tables so more like a grab and go place than a hangout. This is a new location for me. I usually go to the one in Carrollton. The Dallas shop is cute and convenient. I greatly enjoy the Taro milk tea with boba and pudding. Other favorites of mine are the Oolong honey milk tea with boba as well as the honey milk tea with boba. So glad that Kung Fu Tea has finally migrated towards the downtown Dallas area. Quality is just as perfect as every other kung fu tea. The kung fu milk tea with boba (30% sugar) continues to be the best bubble tea that I've ever had. They make the boba here perfectly, but the drink tastes maybe a little sweeter than at other places. There was actually quite a lot of people there even though it's only the soft opening right now (with a limited menu). The space isn't very big and maybe can seat only around 10-15 people, but the service is quick and friendly. read more

Updating my review as I have been here no less than a dozen times since the soft opening. My main gripe is that they seem to get my or one of my friends' drink orders wrong nearly every time we stop by. Whether it's getting the sugar/ice level wrong, or adding boba when it was specifically asked to leave it out, or making the completely wrong drink once or twice, it has happened way too many times to chalk up to being an outlier. However, Ben and the staff have always cheerfully remade the correct drink. Other observations I mentioned in my original review seem to hold true so far: Friendly and helpful staff, but slow service. I wish the place was bigger and more accommodating to doing work/studying, but I understand that the area is expensive and limited in space. read more

I liked it. I was craving some Bobba, and this was a good place to get it. The drinks are highly customizable (at least I think so) because you can choose how much ice, sugar, syrup and such you want to get. Prices are decent and place is clean although small for a group of people. I recommend if you are around the area and want good Bobba. So glad this place opened up in Dallas I used to drive all the way to Carrollton just to get Kung Fu Tea but now that it's only 10 min away from where I live I'm the happiest gal! My favorite is taro milk tea with bubbles and it's the best thing ever. If you like sweet but not overwhelmingly sweet drinks then I'd suggest getting this with zero sugar. This is my go to place for boba but today was a different story. I always order a winter melon milk green tea with brown sugar boba and was told today I couldn't do that. Not sure why all of sudden it would change? It a up charge anyways and I think it makes the drink 10x better! I was very excited when I saw Kung Fu Tea opened in uptown, and went to order a milk foam tea. Unfortunately, there was no foam at the top of the tea but only milk powder at the bottom of the tea. It was so bad that when I drew the straw out the powder came out. I guess the only thing you can order there is their powdered milk tea which they use the machine to shake. LOVE that there is a boba tea place in Dallas... it's about time. I have tried the mango snow, Thai milk tea, winter melon green tea, and the honey black tea. LOVE the mango snow and the winter melon green tea. The Thai milk tea tasted more like milk with a hint of tea (wanted the opposite) and the honey black tea had a weird floral taste that I didn't appreciate. This is about as close as I have found in Dallas that is comparable to the boba tea shops in San Fransisco. This is 15 out of the way from my house, but I will make this trip as the tea, slushees and juices are all good and flavorful! It doesn't taste "fake" or syrupy. This place is one of the few great boba places in downtown Dallas! There are tons of options to satisfy any craving, and the boba is slightly sweet in addition to having a great texture, which makes it all the better. The Kungfu milk is actually dairy-free, which I had never seen before and my girlfriend appreciated. This is my favorite bubble tea chain and location in DFW! I've tried at least 5 other companies and I am sure this place has the best texture for boba and choice of real tea flavors-- the people working here are also friendly and patient when you need a couple minutes deciding on what new drink to try next. I generally avoid fruity drinks and non-boba toppings, but I can recommend the oolong tea and oolong milk tea with bubbles (half sweet), sesame matcha (really unique), the Thai tea (lacking artificial coloring woohoo!) and taro with half- 30% sweet. Hands down the best boba spot in the Dallas area. Every single time we've been (and it's been a lot of times) the service has been extremely friendly and the boba was always fresh. My go to drink is a milk tea with Oreos crumbled inside with boba. Delicious! I've had their flavored black and green teas as well, and all have been tasty. I always get my drinks half sweetened, and they are always the perfect amount of sweet. I recommend going half sweetened as well. For those who are lactose intolerant, they have a drink where they use lactaid as the base. It tastes like cereal milk! read more
