Came here for a late-night matcha run because my partner swears this is one of her favorite spots -- so I figured let's run it. Glad we did, because this place is actually pretty cool. They've got great murals on the walls and some solid merch for sale that definitely catches your eye. The matchas were amazing, crafted really well and not overly sweet like some places try to do. You can tell they take pride in getting the flavor right. Service was on point. They were patient, answered all our questions about the different matcha options, and never made us feel rushed. The lobby was full of people posted up working or hanging out, and honestly the vibe was not bad at all -- kind of chill, kind of creative, the type of spot you could stay in for a while. All around, a great late-night stop and now I see why it's one of her favorites.
I am always on the search for a coffee shop where you can actually do work and this is it. There is plenty of seating, tons of outlets, and bright lighting. They also have interesting drinks outside of coffee or in addition to coffee. I ordered a coffee with a collagen add in (I wanted the focus add in but they were out). The kiosk didn't notify me that it was out, or I would have gotten a regular coffee. I will definitely be back to work for a couple hours while enjoying a hot drink.
Super cute coffee shop, the vibes are very fun and inviting. The coffee was great and the breakfast sandwich I ordered was yummy. The staff was also extremely nice, they helped fix my drink when I ordered it wrong. I came to study and it was great to get some work done. I'd love tho come back soon!
Used to be super good, they had the best strawberry matcha. They've gone down hill since I came in the winter, and their matcha just tastes like syrup now. The girls working didn't even look me in the face and my sandwich came basically crumpled in a ball, then when I asked for a new one, they gave me the wrong one. Had to ask a third time for the correct sandwich. Then the third sandwich came back basically falling apart. The place is nice in itself, and is a good place to sit, but if you're wanting a really good matcha that doesn't taste like syrup, don't come here.
The aroma alone will sell you on this premier coffee shop. The layout, both inside and out, show you that this establisment wants you here and to enjoy your coffee. Lots of space, indoor plants, electric device connections, lots of shaded tables, dog friendly, kid friendly, and lots of stay awhile parking. Easy to get into from front or back street (Mockingbird gets busy at times). To go? No problem as they have 2 HUGE drive thrus! HUGE MENU as well of coffees, food, and others drink options. My first visit really WOWed me. The taste of the turkey provolone and pesto sandwhich would have been the reason by itself. But it was the deliggtful aroma and superior taste of the Americano coffee! (I purposefully spilled a little on a napkin to leave a sscent in my car.) Yes, this place IS that GREAT!
Passed by on my way to white rock lake and saw this coffee shop. Place is cute, very clean and soothing. Order from the tablet. Love the drink and the crepe. Service is good. I did not wait long for the order. Strawberry matcha is the bomb. I will definitely come back here to work on my project.
Grabbed a Gingerbread matcha latte and an oatmeal cookie this afternoon. Super cute coffee shop with great service and a really nice patio even though it was too cold to enjoy it today. I definitely look forward to coming back and trying many other items, my gingerbread matcha latte was delicious and I grabbed it because it was a seasonal flavor but they have tons of options for all different tastes.
Black Sheep Coffee just opened up in Lakewood and I'm so happy. This is now the second location in the DFW area. The shop opened up today on Sat, Nov 2nd on Mockingbird. There is plenty of parking and a drive through which makes it even more convenient for those on the go. When you enter into the storefront, you're greeted with outdoor seating with umbrellas on the patio. Inside, the coffee shop is very open with couches, tables with plenty of seating. There are a few kiosks throughout the cafe making it convenient when this place gets busy and standing on line is a hassle. Black Sheep Coffee offers food from pastries, Norwegian waffles (even matcha flavored ones!), breakfast sandwiches, snacks and other beverages. I ordered an apple crumble iced latte with is defaulted with oat milk (perfect for when I forget to order oat milk as a substitute). They do offer other alternatives, milk options and syrups. I weary that the latte would not have a lot of flavor aside from the apple but I was pleasantly surprised. My latte was extremely tasty and I'll be back!!
We ordered coffee and waffles this morning! They were so good!!! They put tin foil over the cup under the lid. Such a thoughtful little touch, but big impact. The coffee was a great temp. We tried the mocha, iced vanilla oat latte, mini donut, strawberry and Nutella waffle and strawberry and cream waffle. Everything we had was perfect!! Such a wonderful way to start our day!! The thoughtful touches make for such a great service and experience!!
I decided to try the Passionfruit Matcha Lemonade after seeing all the hype online, but unfortunately, I was a bit disappointed. The drink tasted watered down, and I couldn't really taste the matcha or any distinct flavors. I'm not sure if I'd order this particular drink again, but I'm still open to trying other options on the menu! The ordering process is you place your order at a kiosk, pay there, and then wait for your name to be called at the counter. I went during the middle of the weekday, and the cafe was packed. It was pretty loud with the music and all the people, so I wouldn't recommend it as a study spot if you're looking for a quiet environment. Also, I was a bit confused about the dome lids on the drinks, but you can request a regular lid if you prefer. Overall, I think I'll give this place another try for their other drinks and waffles.

The pistachio latte wasn't good, it was BAHHHHDDD. Cant fully pinpoint why, either tastes like the pistachio is imitation or the coffee was burnt. read more

If you are coming here for the matcha, just go to Starbucks! Matcha is very low quality and looks gray. Ordered a strawberry and cream waffle crepe. It was delicious! Was a long wait in drive thru but was delicious. Customer service needs a little work too... Probably won't revisit. read more

Food - chai tea latte, was good enough. I'm extremely picky about my chai. The Nutella strawberry waffle was pretty good. I forgot to ask for the whip cream. It's quite big, I should've asked for extra Nutella, but I finished almost all of it! I will eat it again, but I wanna' come back and try out the other things. Service - extra good, like really good. Thank you. Ambiance - extremely cool space. Check out my video. Love the logos, love the aesthetics of the interior, easy parking. Outdoor seating available. I will be back. Terrible experience, I have messaged black sheep coffee directly about my experience needing a refund because I was unable to enjoy any of the stuff ordered, they have yet to reply so now I am here writing a review ... we ordered 2 matchas and a strawberry banana waffle .. possibly the worst matcha in dallas, I wouldn't even call that matcha .. cheap quality and tasted like milk and syrup .. waffle tasted old, threw everything away minutes after leaving location and went to lala land instead. Service was transactional, staff wasn't hospitable read more

Initially I missed the parking entrance, and that required a whole loop. The establishment seems to be more drive thru friendly. However, it is beautifully decorated inside, and it looks cozy if you want to study or to meet with friends. There are two kiosks where you can order from. I had the strawberry matcha, which was delicious. It did taste sweeter than I normally prefer, and it wasn't as hot as it should be. The raisin danish was flaky, but I did feel it was overpriced for the size of it. The barista was nice. It's worth experiencing it for yourself if you are in the area, but I wouldn't go out of my way for it. read more

My spouse and I visited this brand new location of Black Sheep Coffee during their grand opening. We loved everything about it! The coffee tasted fresh and perfectly brewed. The service was great. They also did a great job converting the building from an old bank to a brand new and unique coffee shop. We went through the drive thru and it did not take long even though several cars were in front of us. I mention this because the car directly in front of us got out of line after waiting for just a few minutes. The line immediately started moving fast after they left. I definitely recommend this coffee shop and look forward to going back! We felt that the pricing was similar to other popular chain brands and to be expected, especially for their specialty products. read more

Saw this place on social media and wanted to try it out because I always love going to new coffee shops to try out. This place was great, I loved the exterior, interior, and the vibes. We walked in and already had a drink we wanted to try which was a blueberry matcha (it was so good, I've only really had a strawberry matcha, but the blueberry in this was delicious and paired very well with the matcha). We decided to get a few other things and they were all pretty good. The service was great, when we were sitting they didn't give us plates for our food order so they personally came by and handed us plates which was so nice cause that meant they were aware of everything in the store. One of the workers was so nice and offered us the caramel mocha frappe to try because she was also working on making drinks. Overall I really loved it here, I will definitely be back to get the other drinks and food items on the menu a chance read more

Worst coffee experience ever. So based on my digital receipt, I ordered at 8:25am. They have a tv screen on top where you can check your order status. I think maybe it took 20-25 min or so to receive the iced americano & my half grilled cheese sandwich, which isn't that bad. At this point, our order #063 was at the top of the screen. I was still waiting on 1 more drink item- the iced strawberry and cream matcha latte. Anyways, grilled cheese sandwich has almost no cheese. See my picture. It's a thin 1 cheese layer (I took bites out of it already btw). So I'm waiting for my last drink to be made, and then out of nowhere my order #63 dropped to the bottom/last order on the tv. We were annoyed but decided we will still wait. It got to the top eventually and then it dropped again, but to the middle. It was busy in there too so that was really annoying. I would wait again but for all I know, the my drink could drop for the 3rd time.. which I wasn't going to wait around for considering I've been there for 35 minutes already. They're trying to make everyone's new orders before mine. Anyways, just order something basic and never order a matcha! Or don't come at all. I asked for a refund which was a simple process, but I was surprised they don't even offer to make it at that exact moment on the spot. There was also some other man behind me who also asked for a refund. read more
