    New Teas!
    Daniel P.

This is one of my favorite boba tea places because they are consistent, efficient, and delicious! I've tried a handful of beverages from slush to boba hot to iced and I've never been disappointed. If you're looking for a reliable boba tea to hit the spot Kung Fu Tea is my spot to recommend! Especially loving the smores slush in the summer.

A comforting bowl of ramen and a surprise treat--Kung Fu Tea delivers! I came in for the spicy tonkatsu ramen, and honestly, it blew me away. The broth was rich, full of flavor, and had just the right level of heat--bold but balanced. The noodles were perfectly al dente, holding up beautifully in the soup. But what truly stood out was the fresh seaweed--not dried, but tender and savory, adding an earthy depth that reminded me of the seaweed my grandmother once brought back from China. That touch of nostalgia alone was worth the visit. The pork and egg were decent, but the broth and noodles stole the show. Just pure umami goodness. To my surprise, they offered me a free drink, and I chose the winter melon tea--light, smooth, and naturally sweet, a great pairing with the spicy ramen. While I enjoyed it, I still personally prefer their matcha milk with anko--a perfect combo of creamy, earthy, and just the right hint of sweetness. Great food, kind service, and a cozy atmosphere--an easy five stars. I'll definitely be back!

I finally visited Kung Fu Tea in Gainesville and I loved it! The menu was massive and they had a little bit of everything: milk tea, green tea, black tea, lattes, smoothies, slushes, and more. You can add boba or tapioca, jelly, pudding, popping boba, red beans and lots of other toppings to your drink too. They use lactose-free milk (Lactaid) in all of their milk tea drinks which I think is pretty cool. I ordered the Mango Green Tea w/Mango Jelly + Oreo Wow Milk Strike w/Boba. I know, I know. Yes I ordered two drinks lol. I ordered the Mango Green Tea at first and it was SO good. Then I was like, I need another drink for the road because I don't live anywhere nearby. So yeah, you've got to check out Kung Fu Tea if you're a fan of boba tea like me.

The staff member was super nice when I walked and immediately welcoming and friendly. I went with the brown sugar milk tea with boba and upgraded to almond milk for my milk choice. The upgrade is $1 surcharge however he was super nice and gave the upgrade on the house. The boba shop is pretty small and has a claw game inside. The prices are pretty reasonable and he informed his favorite boba was a seasonal one, the hami melon boba tea which sounded good and will try soon! This boba tea was surprisingly not super sweet at all. It was very creamy and delicious. It had a subtle hint of brown sugar and the boba tasted like it soaked up the brown sugar flavoring. I highly recommend this drink. However, be mindful of trying to get to this place if you're a local as it's that time of the year (aka football season). If you can find parking - definitely stop by Tan-Cha.

The tiramisu foam is so good, I've been craving Tan-Cha for the longest because of their tiramisu foam, light and simple. It complements the green tea very well. For 6 bucks you can get a delicious sushi wrap that is unlike any other food Ive ever had- very crunchy & delicious. And it honestly Tea Moment has one of the better price points for boba. Plus you can do no ice for no extra charge (which should be standard but apparently isnt at some gnv boba places). As for the service, its always amazing! Drinks always come out quick and the guy I always see (the owner?) is very welcoming. Not to mention the convenient location makes it an ideal spot to get a treat after a way-too-long chemistry lab. I wholeheartedly recommend this spot for all your boba needs!

Get a drink and snack and get a dessert for free. Kiosk was a bit tricky, but staff was standing by to help. Drinks were decent. Red bean milk tea, large size, light ice, and 25% sweet. The spouts were crunchy, leafy greens were fresh, and the soup base flavorful. Served in a plastic bowl. Lots of snacks to choose from too. The ube cream puff was pre wrapped. It wasn't too loud inside and there were plenty of places to sit. I think it would be a great place for a date or to meet up with friends. My order: The matcha green tea w. coconut milk (no boba). I also tried the tiramisu mousse cake. The green tea was really tasty, the tiramisu mousse was just okay IMO. Why I left a four star review: There weren't a lot of dairy-free milk options, the price point was a tad high, and there are too many other boba tea shops in Gainesville with a better price point and flavors.

We also tried 2 mochi. The mochi had a great flavor but the texture was too hard for me. We had the strawberry and coconut mochi but they had other amazing flavors like habanero coffee, expresó , lychee , passion fruit etc. I appreciate that they had so many unique flavors you don't see often. Before I say yes to boba tea, though, I ask the waitress for their dessert menu and they sent me to BC Boba Tea & Ice Cream. Apparently Swamp Boil doesn't serve dessert. Anyway, this cute little tea shop also sells some snacks and ice cream. Given my friend wanting some boba tea, the desire was contagious and I wanted one, too. I also figured it made more sense for the road as I had many hours until I would reach South Florida. He ordered an oolong milk tea with boba while I ordered a strawberry green tea with boba. Both were refreshing, but I think I'm happy I stuck with the strawberry green tea. Milk and long car rides aren't good companions and that's with me not being lactose intolerant. Anyhow, the service was fine, a bit cold perhaps, but it is what it is. They have a lovely mural on site and I'm generally curious if this and Swamp Boil are owned by the same person. At any rate, I would go back if in the area.
