Came here on a Friday night with my friends and we really enjoyed it! Located in Midtown, Poke Station is in a great location and is really convenient for students to visit. They offer a nice variety of poke bowls, salad bowls, sushi burritos, and boba. You can order one of their bowls or opt to create your own. The inside is pretty clean and they have both indoor and outdoor seating. The service is attentive, efficient, and welcoming. The portion sizes are great, especially considering the price too! I ended up ordering creating my own poke bowl with a zucchini noodle base instead of rice. They have a great selection of different proteins to choose from including scallops, ahi tuna, salmon poke, shrimp, etc. I opted for the ahi tuna and salmon poke. The topping selection doesn't disappoint either. I decided on seaweed salad, avocado, kani salad, edamame, scallions, and bean sprouts. For my dressing/sauce, I went with the citrus ponzu. Which was a soy based sauce, a little lighter than the mayo based ones. This bowl was heavenly. The fish and seaweed was really fresh, as well as the other ingredients. The zucchini noodles were nice and had a good consistency. This bowl was just so refreshing and healthy. It had a nice balance between the proteins and various vegetables. I really have nothing but great things to say about it! Overall, Poke Station is a really good poke spot in Gainesville. The price point is unbeatable, especially considering their portion sizes. The fish and other ingredients were very fresh with good quality. My bowl had great flavor and I left full and satisfied. This place has been busy both times I went in, lots of college students. Personally, as someone with ASD the music was too loud on top of the conversational noise- people were having to talk over the music. I had to strain my ears to hear my friend & we had to repeat ourselves many many times. I ended up eating in my car lol. Other than that, the customer service was perfect. They were kind, friendly, approachable, and to-the-point. Both times I've been, I've ordered a build your own bowl. They offer great portions of salmon, tuna, etc. for the prices they charge! Within walking distance of a Boba shop owned by friends of mine is this larger, roomier, more cozy and just-as-delicious boba palace, which also has excellent Poke, and prices are very reasonable for the droves of college students that come by and near here (and the smart ones come in). I also absolutely love the decor here. It's huge with lots of cozy corners and lots of cute stuff. They have some of the friendliest service in town and some really nice friendly and cute customers and some of the best products in a town that is somewhat lacking good Boba products (although not by Florida standards, by which it's a pretty decent Boba town). So this is not only five stars but one of my top recommendations for the whole town. Very good salmon poke bowl! Veggies are not chopped into the tiniest bits. This place gives you ample-sized chunks of the add-ons and is not stingy with toppings and proteins. The salmon is large, fresh, and delicious. Not salty nor over smoked. Truly sushi quality and added to your bowl with a good, moderately generous hand! The poke bowls I've gotten here have been good. The tea and egg waffles are delicious. There is a lot you can order here. I'm not sure of you can customize the sugar content of the drinks like a lot of places in town. Overall, the food is pretty darn good. My friend hyped it up so we all went for some poke bowl one night and it was not a disappointment at all. You can tell by the looks and taste that the ingredients were fresh. Since we're eating raw fish, it is absolutely important that the fish is as fresh as it can be and this place nailed it. The fish was so fresh that it did not leave a fishy taste to my mouth at all. Besides the fish, they give you a variety of toppings to put on your bowl FREE of charge (the avocado is the only one that is $1 additional). By the time I got to pay for my food at the end of the counter, my bowl was stacked. The great thing about this place is that you are able to customize your bowl so you don't have to choose a preset one on the menu. In fact, if you plan on getting 2 or more meat then I recommend you get the customized bowl because it may be a dollar or two cheaper compared to the menu. In addition to the bowl, I also got a green tea egg waffle with chocolate chip mint ice cream with two chocolate pocky sticks, mochi, and honey red bean with condensed milk drizzled on top. Just take a look at my picture and you'll know exactly what I'm talking about. It was delicious but I do wish they gave you two scoops of ice cream instead of one, especially for the price of $8. Because of how much I load up on toppings, I'm always full and very satisfied before I can finish my bowl, so I say you definitely get your money's worth here. So Poké bowls are still a bit of a foreign concept to me, so this will be my second time having one and it did not disappoint! They have some pretty great base options ranging from spicy tuna to salmon. But what I personally liked the most were the endless mix-ins you can add to your bowl. Some of my personal favorites were the seaweed salad and wasabi peas. The guy working behind the counter was also super helpful in suggesting toppings I might like. This was my first time here and I've got to say the menu is a bit overwhelming when you walk in. You can get everything from poke bowls to tea to ice cream in one location. That being said, I walked up and ordered a signature poke bowl, the Hawaii Sunset. The cashier asked me what rice I would like and then set off to make my bowl. At that moment I realized I could have customized my bowl. However, I am glad I did not on my first go as I think I would have created an odd combination of things I liked (much like when you get a little crazy at a froyo place). The bowl was spicier than I thought it would be, but I should have heeded the pepper sign next to it on the menu. In the future I think I will make my own bowl as I had a chance to thoroughly look at all the options while I was there. I would also be interested in trying their teas as they looked delicious. The restaurant atmosphere was bright, clean, and pleasant with the option to sit outside if the Florida sun was not so relentless. Went yesterday as part of their grand opening. I was really, really satisfied when I left. The food was yummy and there was so much of it I had enough to save for later. The milk tea was really great too! I love poke bowls and Ill definitely be back. Some things did put me off though and I'll fault it to the fact that I went their first day of opening. 1. My friend was choosing his toppings and there was a bit of a language/hearing barrier. He ended up being pressured into eating some toppings that he didn't necessarily ask for. Note to management; Maybe placing the names of the toppings on the glass or explaining how many toppings you can choose. 2. In my own bowl, I had asked for avocado and was not told that it was an extra dollar. Not a big surprise but it would have been nice to been told "avocado is extra" 3. While sitting down I noticed a table that was very close to the table my friend and I had chosen. People would have to squeeze through these two tables. Happy to say that Pokebowl station will be my new go-to place for boba, especially since it is so close to campus! Although I'm unsure of whether you can customize sugar content like you can at other places, their honey green tea had the perfect level of sweetness and their bubbles were the best I've had yet in Gainesville (the bubbles do come out pretty warm though depending on when they made it). I also tried their egg waffles -you can customize everything from the flavor of the waffle (I chose matcha) to the ice cream (matcha again) and then three toppings (I chose red bean, mango, and strawberry with condensed milk syrup). It did take about 10 minutes for the waffle to come out but it was freshly baked, flavorful, and the fruit was fresh. It is very messy to eat, however, so it would be best to eat it there instead of on-the-go. I came back again to try their fresh fruit tea and was pleased to find that their four season spring tea with fruit came with a lot of fruit in it-blueberries, oranges, pineapple, and lemon. I would want to try their poke bowls next time. It would also be good if they sold reusable metal straws, as their cups are very sturdy and could be reused at least once if you needed. read more

I love that we now have a poke place near campus. The location is super convenient for students or for employees at UF who want to stop by for a quick lunch break. It's a little pricey, but they do give you a good portion size, as well as letting you choose whatever toppings go into your bowl. To be honest, I felt a little queasy after eating, but others who I've spoken to said they felt fine after, so maybe it was just me.
