This Kung Fu Tea is located inside the 99 Ranch supermarket. It's very small and is takeout only, but 99 Ranch has seating if you want to stay. The menu seems more condensed than at other locations, but they do have the Hot Honey Milk Green Tea that I usually order. The service is always friendly and relatively quick. I stop by here almost every time I'm shopping at 99 Ranch. There is free parking in the lot. read more

Came to visit while grocery shopping at 99 Ranch. This store is located inside where the food court area is, when you walk in to the store take a right and it will be caddy corner from LA Crawfish. As soon as you walk up, you will notice all kinds of random items on the counter making it look so tacky and dirty. Crew was friendly and efficient though. read more

I am a big fan of Kung Fu Tea (one of the best standard milk tea with boba places in Houston), but this particular location is terrible. For starters, the taste is generally not good and very inconsistent. Also, the service is just bad and confusing. For example, my latest visit there was in the evening. I loaded my order on the app (there was an app promo but you had to use the app) and as I placed the order, it said "this location is closed". I was already in 99 Ranch, so I just walked right up to the register and said "I can't place my order". They said "Try again tomorrow". But they weren't closed! Even the app's closing time for that location said they weren't closed. The customer behind me was able to place an order as I watched in awe. So weird... I just walked away and drove 1 mile down to ShareTea. read more

They make their drinks expertly, and some of the employees in particular are amazing at making drinks - such as the tall white guy with the long hair who I know from the Pearland location, and his good friend who is the owner of both this and the Pearland location. These guys make top quality products and are really good people, and that makes both of their locations some of the best around. They're also some of the best people owning KFTs anywhere in the country - very very good people and that matters a lot. I'm obsessed with their fruit teas, especially Lemon Black Tea, Orange Black Tea, Pineapple Black Tea and so on. They're marvellous. What to get: Lemon Black Tea With Tapioca! And of course you must get the Puffle waffles, named after our cat, Sammi Puffle! Every bit as good as the Lemon Black Tea, are the Egg Puffs aka Puffles aka Bubble Waffles. Adorably, they break them into single puffles and put them in a bag, so it's more like french fries or popcorn (who else does that?), but more impressively, they taste more moist, more flavourful, more pillowy, and more under-done (which is how they should be) and yet piping hot instead of lukewarm (which is an absolute must), so I'd say these are probably the very best Egg Puffs I've had anywhere. As good as the street ones in Chinatown Manhattan. Gong Cha Houston makes great ones too. But these are our #1. Still one of the best Kung Fu Teas you'll find, despite it being a little stand inside a grocery store. They have some of the best service and most chill and helpful employees who will make anything off-menu unlike most of the KFT locations within the city of Houston, and when you add to that the fact that they make their drinks expertly and wonderfully, you're talking about a top-notch five star Bobashop here. We come here whenever we can, and I get a little bit fat on these wonderful boba stuffs. I've always come here to get my usual drinks when I grocery shop. But today, was the day things didn't order as planned. I ordered a Orange Yogurt drinks with Mango Popping Boba, 50% sweetened and no ice. They also handed me a orange yogurt with no topping and iced. Then they had to break the seal to take out some ice and add the mango popping boba. The second drink was the Red Wow Milk. I asked for little boba and more milk. Located in front of the checkout lines closer to the food court, this location offers their typical drinks as well as Bubble cake and macarons. Being their grand opening weekend I was lucky to snag their BOGO deal and with a pretty short line for a Sunday around 5 PM. The BOGO deals were for 4 select drinks, Kung Fu Milk Tea, Passion Fruit Green Tea, Red WOW and Oreo WOW. I ended up choosing the Red WOW since I prefer my drink to be more milk based, and I love the combination of the sweetened red bean and the bubbles (boba). The only thing that I wished was if the bubbles were sweetened as they had no taste, just added a nice chewy texture. Peach oolong - delicious mix of peach and oolong tea (which is one of my faves) Lychee punch - hot mess, the lychee was overpoweringly sweet and the boba was very hard like it was undercooked?; had to drain it out once I got home Service - young lady was friendly but not very helpful, they had a special buy 2 get 1 free if you were a member which she never mentioned; I asked a few questions at the beginning and she didn't have any real answers I've been to the Bellaire location and it was a bit better there but this would be a last resort boba spot for me. I should have known better bc this business is located inside the 99 ranch market; it's not a standalone, so they don't get enough traffic. My wife and I love Kung Fu Tea and grab their tea once or twice a week. That said, we were psyched about a new store opening closer to home, in 99 Ranch to be exact. Unfortunately, this location has missed the mark for us numerous times for numerous reasons. Many of the great drinks the chain has to offer are either not available or are not mixed well. The piece de resistance was being told they don't offer a strawberry milk cap drink that was clearly being advertised on their menu board. My latest visit included a messed up order of peach oolong tea that failed to include boba that was clearly printed on the receipt and a milk tea that tasted something similar to mop water. I was never a fan of boba tea until I tried Kung Fu Tea! I love the convenient location and the staff is nice & attentive. I will be coming back here more often for sure. Ive been hoping a KFT would open in the Memorial/Spring Branch as Chinatown and Montrose were the two closest locations. When one finally opened, I was super excited. Tragically, it's been a huge disappointment. I've come several times hoping their service would improve but sadly it has not! Only one employee works the cashier and makes the drinks so it's painfully slow and the line grows to around the corner. Even if there is no line, its painful. But I've noticed there is always an individual in the back. During this last visit, they were out of tapioca. I asked them if they were going to make more and she said they did not have any tapioca. Today I visited Kung Fu Tea at Blalock location. I ordered taro milk tea. I noticed my milk tea was in the shake machine 2 times. The boy pressed it once and the girl pressed it again. At a result, there were so many air bubbles in my drink. One third of the cup was bubble. Not much milk tea left. I also noticed the young girl threw out a lot of milk tea left after she poured to my cup. When I tasted my drink, i just feel air bubble. I told her about this and her attitude was so bad. I ordered a medium taro milk tea with tapioca and it taste pretty darn good, I always like to drink milk tea even it make me sick afterwards, and it didn't really get me sick as much as other places do.
