It really could have been better. With the prices, you would expect something of an upbeat, aesthetic shop for boba lovers and students alike, but there was not a pleasant vibe within the shop. It was silent, employee looked impatient and was not very helpful, and even seemed unsure of my selection. I ordered a green bean smoothie and while it was okay, there was no place for me to actually study. When I asked if there was an outlet or wifi, I was just told no, with no additional comments or help provided. It really does seem to be a place to just grab a pretty expensive, okay tasting drink, and then continue on about your day. I got my drink, it tasted okay, but that's all it really was; just okay. Went in for a quick afternoon drink and it was just that. Walked in and was quickly asked for my order. I went for freshly squeezed cane juice. It was amazing! The sugar cane is run through a press right in front of your eyes. The process is quick and the results are refreshing. Not sure about all the bad reviews here but I typically come here for their Pennywort and mung beans drink (which is rau má đậu xanh in Vietnamese). This drink is super refreshing and healthy. I've been a customer here for over a dozen years -- literally. Their avocado smoothie with tapioca is THE BOMB and I've never once had an issue with service or quality. You can tell they use fresh fruit because it's cut right in front of you and their fridge is full of fruits. The prices aren't listed anywhere on the menu but my smoothie is $6.50 with boba. Nice simple Vietnamese run shop for fruit based drinks. They have tea but as per menu a very small part of what they do. They squeeze fresh sugarcane as well. So i went here and there was a lady who was so rude and she gave us an attitude. So as we were ordering the lady kept repeating what we were saying and eventually left and took someone else's order. After she made the drinks,she called our number and she aggressively gave us our drinks. She forgot to give us our straws so i politely asked her and she took the straws and threw it at me. Again,it isnt all the employees, its mainly the main one taking orders.We stayed in the shop for a couple minutes and we continued to see her continously be aggresive and rude to other customer.We left so we dont know what happened to that specific customer . No no no no no no- no! Where do I start? Let's begin with the positive. The staff is friendly, kind, not rude whatsoever & they do their job well & are also pretty fast. No complaints on anyone who works here. Now the not so positive. I finished shopping at HK's grocery mart & had maybe 4-5 bags, nothing serious. I told the person I was with if she wanted to hit up my favorite boba place, which I won't mention here. She complained about having to wait in traffic & then the drive-thru so I decided to settle & give this spot a shot. I was craving my boba smoothie bad so I rushed in & placed my order within the first 60 seconds. After doing that I stood at the counter taking the whole place in. The first thing I noticed was that they have a group of cups with boba already in them sitting on some unattended, uncovered side of the counter. As I leaned over to get a better look at the boba I noticed some flies landing on the cups. I was instantly grossed out because just a few moments before I saw her take a couple cups from that direction after taking our order. Not only did I spot flies all over the cups I then began to question the integrity of the boba -I mean it's freshness you know? Moving on: I get our drinks & she hands it to us bagged which is normal & then the lady charged us almost fifteen freaking dollars for a couple of boba drinks. What?! Alright, whatever, no biggie, it won't break any bank I know of but dang it's just some fruit drinks not a couple of draft beers... No surprise to report that the boba tasted awful. It'd be like getting a gin & tonic on the rocks but the rocks are ice cubes from the fridge that's been stored next to some meats & frozen peas. Gross. I get to my car with my bagged boba drinks & before I even move any bags, I notice that the two coffee boba drinks are leaking & got all over the bag making everything sticky. Greeattt, now I can't drink it while I drive unless I want to get home stickier than a freaking two year old.. Look Fiji coffee, put your money on the fact that I will never return to your venue. Apart from inconvenient, it was unsanitary & gross. Thanks to you I'll have trust issues the next time I am forced to drink a tapioca from any other place that isn't my favorite spot in Houston. BAD ATTITUDE!!! I bought 6 to-go cups of bobas here and the OWNER only put all of these cups in 1 plastic bag which is not strong enough to hold these cups. Then, 30 seconds after I HOLD the bag, the bag ripped. One cup is fallen and poured on the floor, and the employee blamed me about NOT HOLDING the bag CORRECTLY. She told me this is my fault. I asked for the compensation but she refused it and asked me to pay money for a new cup. She doesn't understand that "A plastic bag cannot hold for these numbers of cups". I WILL NEVER GO BACK.
