Mango slush plus straw, before the straw goes into the bad place.
    Daniel L.

I love kung fu films and as a soyboy I pretend to like caffeine-free herbal tea since I keep getting ads for it on tiktok so I suppose I must have gone into this with expectations far too high. Though my expectations really only had a minute to ferment since I was supposed to meet the squad at Aqua S a few doors down but they were not open yet since they keep banker+ hours, the people in the squad that identify as ladies needed a restroom, and this bidness was open and with bathroom for paying customer so we went here instead. I went to the back of the line since it was my first time here and it was a big menu, so I did what Chris Porter always complained about people not doing at the Starbucks - hang back a second if you are new rather than clogging up the line trying to figure out what to order. I ruled out most drinks since they either had caffeine, looked like they had caffeine, or looked like they had ingredients I could not have. One gripe is no complete ingredient list on any of these so you do not know what you are getting. As a result of not knowing what you are getting, my mango slush did not even taste like mango. It had the aftertaste of pineapple, which is not mango, so maybe the blender had just been used for pineapple before mine and not cleaned out, or they really should have called this old gal the pineapple-mango or just pineapple drank, since besides the slightest slight orange hue there was nothing remotely mango about this. The person I ordered from at the window was not very friendly. I liked that you picked up at the window so it was not further handled. I liked that the plastic lid was tamped down and sealed, and the straw was individually wrapped. The benches were very uncomfortable to sit upon and the table had a sign on it that it was not to be leaned on or something like that which concerned me a little since it was supporting my drink, how much weight on the table was too much weight? Better not breathe on the old gal then, she might collapse and take my terrible drink with her thanks to gravity and other mysteries. The bathroom code was printed on the receipt to keep out the riff raff. So don't throw the receipt out. The slush was just disappointing tbqh familia. Service was not friendly. Atmosphere/ambiance was lacking and on profoundly uncomfortable seating. And worst of all? No kung fu movie being played anywhere in this joint. They got the tea, but where the kung fu at? Two stars; would be vastly improved by a kung fu movie playing on a projector against one of the walls.

    Sesame matcha milk with boba

With so many Bubble Tea place in Bellaire, we totally forgot about Kung Fi Tea. We decided to visit it last week and the drinks were so good! There's a reason why Kung Fu is still here after all these years. - Sesame matcha milk with boba (5/5): amazing. Just the perfect balance between matcha and sesame flavor! The drink was super rich and concentrated. You can definitely taste both the matcha and sesame flavors. I added boba which is a nice addition to this drink. Highly highly recommend it! - Grapefruit yogurt (4.5/5): they use actual Yakult in this drink. The drink itself is only 4/5 but they are very consistent in the ratio and the method of making this drink. The grapefruit flavor pairs nicely with the yogurt. Service was phenomenal. The barista was helpful and thoroughly made our drinks. We'll definitely return for more!

Worst milk tea I've ever had. Disgraceful. If you want truly authentic milk tea, Sharetea is the best in town.

Food: 4.5/5 Service: 4/5…read moreAmbiance: 2/5 Overall: 4.2 My group got the fresh fruit shaved ice with strawberry ice cream and coconut pudding. The shaved ice itself was really nice and fluffy, with the condensed milk topping being VERY sweet yet not overpowering. The fruit toppings we got, for the most part, were good. The pineapple and cantaloupe were both okay, though I think they both could've been fresher, but the strawberry and mango were both really good and complemented the shaved ice. I also really enjoyed the strawberry ice cream on top. I was a bit skeptical at first, but it added another dimension to the dish. The coconut pudding, though, was quite disappointing, not tasting like much and overall just feeling like a random and unnecessary addition to the otherwise really good dessert. The ambiance here was the main issue. It is a little bit barebones and not very decorated, but that didn't bother me. What did though was the piercing high pitched noise of the electronics, which made it really hard for me to focus, and the flashing lights, which just made me feel really disoriented. Still, this place is a hidden gem in the Dun Huang Plaza compared to everything else around it, and is definitely worth a try!

So I haven't tried their drinks yet, but I had to leave a review for their pandan coconut waffles…read more I'm obsessed with anything pandan, so when I found out they had them, I had to stop by. This is my third time now, and they've been amazing every time. The waffle is like a perfect mix between a pancake and a waffle. Crispy on the outside, soft and chewy on the inside. It's made fresh and served warm, and the flavor is spot on. It's slightly sweet with that rich coconut and pandan taste that just works. They also have other flavors like durian and taro if you're into trying something different. I'll definitely be back to try the drinks, but honestly, these waffles alone are worth the trip.

We were about to buy something when the lady told us not to get it because it wasn't good and they were planning to return it. She even had her staff take it off the shelf right away so no one else would pick it up. That kind of transparency is rare and we really appreciated it. The drinks took a while to come out but they make everything fresh so it was worth the wait. While we waited we checked out their crane machines and played a round. Mama Mia Special (L $9.75): Wow, this was a huge cup packed with fruit. I loved the coconut meat, jelly, and strawberry. The mango bits were not quite ripe so they were a bit sour but everything else made up for it. Matcha Mia (L $8): Yum, delicious and easy to drink. I actually liked this one more than the special since it combines sugarcane and coconut juice and just works really well together. Multi Flavor Waffle ($5.75): Comes with three flavors, pandan, durian, and taro. It was so good. I loved the pandan the most. I am not usually a fan of durian but I tried it and you can really taste it in there. The taro was the most subtle but still really good.
