Quick stop in for an afternoon sweet treat and KFT does not disappoint. I noticed this location has some yummy snacks - onigiri, spring rolls, and takoyaki. If I wasn't headed out to dinner I would have grabbed some bc the spring rolls looked amazing! I did get a mango milk tea with boba and it was ready quickly. The space is cute and really big, I'd definitely come work here because there is an abundance of tabletop space and outlets.

Pretty good bubble tea and slush is here. I haven't had any of the food. This is one of those places you go when bubble tea is an afterthought. Like we get out of a movie and we are passing it. If bubble tea is your main objective I wouldn't suggest jumping in the car and driving here.

A Standard Sip: Kung Fu Tea in Review Kung Fu Tea is a pretty standard bubble tea spot. The decor is on-theme, and there's a basic seating area for a casual sit-down. I tried the Taro Milk Tea. It was, well, standard. I usually go for less sugar, but I forgot to mention it this time, so it ended up being quite sweet. But that's on me, not them. The boba was okay - about what you'd expect from a chain. Nothing to write home about, but it did the job. Service was quick, which was a plus. I had my order in hand within 5 minutes. All in all, Kung Fu Tea is a decent spot for a quick boba fix. Nothing more, nothing less

First time at this location. Luckily, I found parking in the front! #winning. Quick and easy service. Dropped in and grabbed my favorite Thai milk bubble tea. Consistently good at any of their locations I've been to. This time I switched it up and tried one of their appetizers which was the shrimp tempura rice ball. The rice ball was good and reminded me of a bigger version of a shrimp tempura sushi roll. I always use the Kung Fu Tea app to purchase my bubble teas. Vent coming up: What's crazy to me is that -- you have to purchase 168 bubble teas to get 1 free drink. That's wild! I believe I have 118 more bubbles to go...LAUGH OUT LOUD! Not sure how it's calculated but it seems like it will take FOREVER! Vent over. Kung Fu Tea is my go-to place to get delicious bubble teas!

Let me Philly up some of this review with a rap. I don't like beans in my drinks, not even MUNG FU If you brought the tea, it's already been BRUNG FU If you're seventeen, sorry bae, but you're too YOUNG FU But if you want Lemon Black Tea, you come to KUNG FU! It makes some of the rivals taste like eating cow DUNG FU It's at the top of the ladder, while you're on the lowest RUNG FU You'll love if you're easy going, even highly STRUNG FU So if you want a Lemon Black Tea, you come to KUNG FU I tasted it and screamed so loud that I collapsed a LUNG FU I carried on screaming and sounded like Angus YOUNG FU They played Sting on the radio, but I'm already STUNG FU By the wondrous Lemon Black Tea they serve at KUNG FU I went to the toilet, opened Snapchat, then I SUNG FU Came back, took my pants off, and the girls yelled "HUNG FU!" In walked Barbie and immediately I'm SPRUNG FU And you should come and get a Lemon Black Tea from KUNG FU! WHAT My notes said - girl was super super friendly. not sure if they loved or hated me. had a crush. wonderful product What to get: Lemon Black Tea With Tapioca! Or: All the fruit teas are pretty good, especially if you go off menu and get black tea! Or: Go crazy and order your fruit teas with the very strong Oolong! Or in winter: Any of the hot milk teas! Which milk teas are best: Honey Oolong! Oolong! Maybe Taro or Almond! I also love the regular milk tea with Oreo! I had a crush on one of the girls working here who is really incredible, and makes perfect boba too. I'm not sure if some of the employees here loved or hated me, I couldn't tell, but I think it was one or the other. They made me a really great lemon black tea which is really saying something because the vast majority of KFT stores in the Philly area are lacking something, and the drinks don't quite come out as well as I expect based on standards at other KFT regions. But none of those problems occurred here. Here, the tapioca was perfect, the drink was deliciousness, so whereas a lot of chains around here get three or four from me for not being up to standards, this one undeniably scores five. Along with Tsaocaa and Tea Do, these are the go to bobas to get in Chinatown Philly. Mr Wish can be great, but the Chinatown location is hit or miss. But this KFT has been a hit each time I've been here, so far. Good luck finding parking though. You'll need it. So if you have nothing to do And your partner won't give you a screw I know something better And very much wetter Get Lemon Black Tea from Kung Fu!

Great variety of smoothies, milk teas, teas, and quick bites. Service is fast and the interior clean. One of the few places in Chinatown that has my favorite flavor, wintermelon. Good place to grab a cool drink after a hot day of exploring Philadelphia.

    Bad, bubble tea.

Rip off. Got a tea, they charged bubbles don't see many nor pineapple pieces- so I ended up paying almost $7. The servers looked uninspiring, not friendly but dead. I don't even think they know how to make it. It's nothing special. Make it your selves.

    Large Mango slush

Came here on a weekday and wait time was pretty short. Small place with a little dine-in seating area. Light appetizers are also available to order here. I ordered the large mango slush. I was not able to alter the sweetness level but still tasted not entirely too sweet. Tasted ok only because it had large amounts of uncrushed ice in it. Would return next time but I would probably order their milk tea instead.

Great spot specializing in Bubble tea. The line was long but so worth it. They have sooo many options for flavors and types of tea as well as boba. If you're in the mood for some bubble tea, this is the place to go!

    Mango green tea with pudding
    Stephanie L.

Such a great bubble tea chain. Their teas are always consistent and they never disappoint! Their app makes ordering and paying really easy. I always go for the mango green tea. It has bits of mango fruit in it which is a bonus. I always get this with either a jelly or the pudding. Their milk teas are also delicious and I recommend the classic black milk tea with tapioca or the Thai milk tea.

We joked that I should keep visiting different ChiCha locations around the world to compare. There were a handful of customers sitting around when we arrived weekday mid-afternoon. The staff only had one customer waiting for their drink and no one waiting to order until we came. They only have one kiosk which I think is inefficient unless their traffic isn't that high. I ordered my usual: high mountain pouchong, light ice, less sweet, grass jelly. In terms of tea flavor, I think it's pretty on par with the other ChiCha locations. If I had to rank them it'd be: Boston, New York = Philly = Hong Kong, Chicago

It was naturally sweet without tasting artificial, allowing the floral notes of the tea to come through. The Dong Ding Tea was the standout for me smooth, aromatic, and incredibly clean-tasting with a rich, roasted finish that lingered pleasantly after each sip. It's the kind of tea you can slowly enjoy and appreciate. If you're looking for authentic, high quality tea instead of overly sweet bubble tea, ChiCha San Chen is definitely worth visiting. I'll absolutely be back to explore more of their menu!

They definitely seem consistent, which I really appreciate. I came with a couple of friends on a Saturday afternoon, and wow... this place was packed. Even with the crowd, the staff stayed friendly and worked quickly, so we didn't have to wait too long for our drinks. One thing I still love is the seating. They have giant plushies sitting in the booths, so if you're by yourself, you're not just awkwardly staring at an empty seat across from you. Maybe I'm the only one who appreciates that, but I think it's a cute touch. The matcha here is the real deal. It's bright green, fragrant, and has that rich, earthy flavor with just enough natural bitterness that you know they're using quality matcha. A lot of places advertise matcha, but this one actually delivers. I ordered one of their matcha desserts with ice cream, and it was creamy, refreshing, and let the matcha flavor shine instead of burying it under sugar. My only complaint is that it was pretty warm inside. It was a hot summer day, and I honestly couldn't tell if the air conditioning was running or if it was just fans. Either way, it wasn't very cool inside. Thankfully I had ice cream, so it didn't bother me too much, but it's something to keep in mind if you're stopping by on a really hot day. Overall, another great visit. Friendly staff, consistently high-quality matcha, and a fun atmosphere. If you're a matcha lover, this is still one of my favorite spots in Chinatown.

I personally thought the matcha one was the best. The service was quick and informative. And I loved the little booths they had, it was adorable. That aside, I do think the drinks are mediocre. I ordered their most popular, Mango Matcha and their Hojicha Latte. Sadly I was disappointed, the mango matcha was VERY sweet, but the texture was creamy. I just couldn't get over the overpowering sweetness of the mango puree, but that's my personal preference. The mango flavor itself wasn't bad! Maybe half sweet would be the way to go, Im not sure if they do adjustments. If you love yuzu, I don't recommend their yuzu soft serve HOWEVER their matcha soft serve is pretty yummy Their Hojicha was watery...I really hoped it would be better. I don't recommend it. The drink was refreshing and fruity with a natural tartness from the dragon fruit. Not overly sweet even though I forgot to ask for less sugar. Their 100 percent sugar tastes more like 75 percent, which I actually liked since I usually go for 50. The boba had a nice chew and was not overly sweet either. The banh mi was really solid. Crispy toasted bread on the outside, soft inside, with a good balance of savory meat, pickled veggies, and fresh herbs. Bright, tangy, and satisfying without feeling heavy. Went around 1:30 so technically past lunch, but it was still busy. There was a bit of a line and people kept crowding or cutting, but the staff were working fast and getting orders out efficiently. They also have a small front area with grab and go items like bottled drinks, spring rolls, and other snacks. There is even a heated case with fried items by the register. Did not try those this time but definitely will next visit. Seating is limited, more of a quick stop spot, but perfect for a casual bite. Overall really good. I was overheated from being in the sun for 20 minutes, so that poster was very appealing to me. I kept thinking about it throughout my meal at Sky Café. Therefore, my friend and I truly trotted over afterwards. When we were deciding what drink to get, we noticed a young guy with an elderly grandma who bought many snacks from their shelves and fridge, so my friend and I went to browse too. We don't go to Vietnamese cafes and markets much, so many things we saw there looked interesting to us. Unfortunately we couldn't try everything, so we just window shopped. My friend ordered the Kumquat Thai Tea. It tastes like what it sounds like but that actually bothered my friend lol. When I tried it, I was surprised by how it's not as refreshing as I expected. I think the Thai tea base could be more clear. The cup wasn't sealed properly, so tea kept spilling as we walked. I didn't want to get the wintermelon tea, because I saw prebatched bottles in the fridge, so I would question what's the difference ordering with them vs grabbing a bottle myself. Therefore I decided to order the cane juice hoping that it will be good for the summer heat. They said they ran out, so I got the citrus lemongrass tea instead. I'm amused they gave a slice of orange. My drink was more refreshing, and it's a more unique flavor than generic cafes out there so I'm pleased. It wasn't too sweet. The café has cute wooden benches and tables. The selection of Vietnamese snacks were intriguing and should be legit given the old grandma bought a lot. Even though I don't know how realistic it is for me to come again, but I'd want to!
