This was probably the prettiest KFT I've been to. The decor was modern and wasn't the usual plastic or wooden tables/chairs combo like other locations I've been to. I got my standard yogurt grapefruit drink (no boba) and they have a $5 minimum here too for credit cards. That oolong milk tea with aiyu jelly (fig jelly) is AWESOME! Most of their milk tea is pretty good and so is their red milk wow tea which is basically red beans and milk lol. Wait time isn't long but there can be a line at times. I went in to somewhat study and bring my bf who hasn't been to a KFT yet. The milk steamer is LOUD! Super screeching and it was like that for a good few seconds. During the 2 hrs I was there, the screeching sound came out around 3 times. On top of that, there were some students who were so loud. I know I'm not in the library but dang, everyone else was not loud and BAM, we have ppl who are loud. The location is super convenient and close to UTD so plus! I'm so glad they opened this place in my area. I've been to one on Old Denton Rd in Carrollton. They have so many items to choose from, it's so hard to decide. I've had Taro milk tea with boba(it's non dairy milk which is great as I'm lactose intolerant)unsweetened and sweetened and it was so good. The people who work there are very personable and friendly. It's very spacious, bright and clean inside. I love these tea places all over town as I love tea!! On the weekend there are really long lines but that's because this is really great. The food and tea is good too, I've had no issues with them getting my order correct. Came in at 8:15 PM on December 4th. There was no one in the front. We stood there and waited for almost 8 mins and still no one came to the front despite us seeing people in the back on their phones and messing around. We said hello a couple times and even opened and closed the front door to try to get their attention, but it was muted since the workers were too busy talking to each other. We were just trying to buy a couple drinks, but instead left empty handed. They should consider putting a bell near the register or hiring new workers since they completely disregarded the front house for an extremely long period of time. Alas, Kung Fu Tea has reached Plano! It's just as good as I remembered trying it for the first time in New York. I think their boba has a very particular taste - almost honey-sweet. I got their winter melon milk tea based on an employee's recommendation, but unfortunately, it tasted like regular milk tea. My boyfriend got their pumpkin spice oolong (a seasonal flavor) which tasted fabulous! The interior is cheerful, brightly lit, and has many tables so it'd be a good spot to work or grab a cuppa with friends. I have been to other stores in Illinois and was very excited to see one that was nearby. The staff is very friendly and eager to offer any recommendations on the choices of flavors. The service is quick and I really like that you get to pick how much ice how much sweetness you are getting. I got the taro flavor with Boba and I did not really like my drink unfortunately. It's not my first time getting this combination but I will say that the flavor here was a lot more powdery and overly sweet even though I asked him to do less than 50% sweetness. The Boba are nice and soft and easy to eat I just wish that the tea was less powdery. Will definitely go back if I'm in the area and try something new and be more specific about what I want including the amount of ice and sugar. Hopefully that way I can make a better tasting drink. I love boba and this is the second kung fu tea location I've been to. Tonight they were completely out of boba ... granted I showed up within 30 minutes of closing time and it's V Day so I got something else... and while I waited (over 15 mins) one of the young girls behind the counter had 10-12 friends come running in, being obnoxious and yelling, and of course ordered some drinks .... Fast fwd I'm waiting for my tea for so long and I just want to LEAVE between the blasting music and the teenagers trying to scream over it. After 15 mins I asked if my drink was ready... I was given an old togo order that had sat on the counter for who knows how long ... it was TERRIBLE. Honestly just a really bad experience. After a "hike" in the oh-so "hilly" Arbor Hills the morning after Thanksgiving we found ourselves at Kung Fu Tea for a light refreshment post walk. Banners portraying delicious pictures beckoned us in over the 2 other boba places in this square (MeetFresh and SweetHut). Minimalist ambiance of bonsai plants in the center of wooden tables and metal chairs or booths. Invitingly colorful menus plastered the screen and decadent desserts in the front had me salivating. Feeling warm from the walk and company of old friends I chose ginger milk tea w/o ice and with boba (50 cents extra). Waiting at my table I found Cards against Humanity an UNO (and some others) to pass the time. Getting my Ginger milk I was surprised that even without ice it was pretty chilled, and the tangy strong ginger flavor had me slumping in my seat crooning mmmmms of delight. My friends got honeydew melon and coconut. The honeydew was a classic Choice and not too sweet, the coconut was a total BUST because it was so faint a flavor the sugar masked any subtle hints. I enjoyed my Ginger Tea and chuckled through Cards against humanity so overall I enjoyed KungFu Tea. It's not the best place but it's pretty decent IMO except coconut . read more

I decided to give Kung Fu another chance after the first mishap with my Mango Green Tea. I got a Oolong Milk Tea with boba at no sugar and no ice. The drink itself was good! They only had white boba available which I didn't mind, but the boba was not cooked all the way through- the center of the boba was still pretty hard. Sad. read more

Their coffee milk tea usually does not disappoint, but when I left the place right after I got my order my drink was bitter and watered down. My cousin got the same exact drink (except he got a large) and his tasted like how it should've. Today I got the oolong milk tea with mini bobas. What's great about this place is the staff is exceptional! They do an excellent job of explaining the menu and making suggestions. Since I ordered something new I didn't get it quite sweet enough . I explained my concern and they remade my drink. My second drink was still not very sweet but it may be the kind of tea I ordered. I'm glad there's a KFT close to me now! They have pretty good drinks, although I always have to make sure I remember to tell them to make mine less sweet, or otherwise, it's going to be way too sweet. I'm a huge fan of wintermelon tea, and theirs is good here! I also like their taro smoothie. Make sure you order the smoothie and not the milk tea. The smoothie just has a better taro flavor. I also really enjoy the strawberry green tea punch - it has a citrusy taste to it but its still a bit sweet from the strawberry. This location is pretty cute, and they serve macaroons and other little treats. My only complaint is that there is a card limit of $5... which means inevitably if I go alone, I have to buy one of these treats. I'm not a sweets person so this is really annoying for me. I guess I'll have to bring cash in the future... Overall a decent spot for boba! read more

Whoo~It's here! and it's NOT BAD! The infamous boba chain that has been the cornerstone of 95% of all Asian gatherings has finally landed itself in the center of one of the most Asian towns itself... PLANO. Of course, what better and more fitting location than a few doors down from Karen Dillard's College Prep aka every Plano Asian child's Saturday morning favorite pass-time (nat). Location wise, this KFT really hit the jackpot --- in addition to KD, it's also adjacent to Yatai Ramen, Burger King, Elliots Hardware Market (lol), as well as a string of other restaurants, which would mean Planoites finally have a decent "after meal"/"after class" hang-out place~ ^^ I sincerely wish it the best (like seriously.... please don't make me go back to Java and Chai....). Walking in, it's your traditional KFT, although a bit on the smaller side. I'd imagine when it gets busy (like weekend nights), finding seating will likely be difficult. But it's clean and pretty well lit with decently comfortable seating :D Quality of drinks and price are what you'd expect from KFT. As always, I would say avoid getting iced drinks cuz you will likely complete your drink with ice in 3 gulps. My KF honey milk green tea (try saying this 4 times as fast) with boba was pretty standard --- not too sugary but not completely watered down. In all, this is your good old KFT! It's definitely nice to see it here in Plano finally, and I really wish it can stay for the long run. While this will not serve the most amazing boba, I'd say you will probably come by here with your friends anyway (let's be honest tho...)xP read more

As far as customer service goes, this location beats them all! My favorite drink is the pineapple sunshine tea and I asked them to make it less sweet. For some reason many other locations have a problem with my request saying that there is not added sugar and it's just tea and the pineapple flavor. I didn't know that until now but the cashier was really sweet about it. She made sure I tried my drink first and that it was made to my satisfaction before I left. This locatation of KFT is probably my favorite location because the traffic isn't too bad here and its also close to home. Before, the Carrolton one was my go to KFT boba joint, but it's really far, and the lines are usually long. This one is super clear and cute. It looks a little different than the other two locations, but still the same drinks, so that's all that matters. I almost always get the winter melon milk tea, or any milk tea as a matter of fact. It is definitely my favorite. The milk teas are creamier than the other places I have been to. The drinks in general also tend to veer towards the sweeter side so beware if yall prefer a less sweet tea. You can always ask for less sugar, which is great. The fruit teas are also really good. They use real fruit and jam in the teas for sweetness and flavor. The bubbles are always good. They make there boba sweeter than other boba places, which I love. Unflavored and unsweetened boba is never a good thing. Overall, this place is great. The store is brightly lit with many tables. The store is really clean as well as the bathroom. I definitely approve of this place. The only downsides are that there is a minimum purchase of $5 to use credit cards, but the boba is on the pricier side so by getting a large drink with boba, you'll definitely go over $5. Also, there's no menu for the desserts. You can only get what's available in the glass case. There are also no prices posted for the desserts. read more

Kung Fu Tea was never my favorite boba shop, but I think that's changed since they added their new Wow Milks. Those are milk tea drinks made with Lactaid so they're safe for those of us who are lactose intolerant! Although they have a classic wow milk, the cashier recommended the chai wow milk as a lactose free alternative for classic milk tea and it tastes delicious! Clean interior with friendly baristas. I love that there's now this location! I live between the two so I can choose which aesthetic I prefer as to which one to go to This one is much larger than the location in Carrollton.
