This place has always been a favorite place of mine, yet this is my first opportunity to describe it. I was introduced to halo-halo, a wildly popular Filipino dessert and was subsequently astounded by their remarkably special interpretations of it. They used a milkshake recipe instead of the usual one; what a brilliant idea! Its convenient, easy to drink format enables a complete fusion of its several flavors. Its balanced sweetness makes it taste refreshing and satisfying. It's an outstanding combination of dessert along with beverage, perfectly suitable for a novice halo-halo consumer. The welcoming and helpful staff and the cozy, inviting shop make for a pleasant experience. At Teatown, you can enjoy drinks, desserts.
Stopped by to grab some boba, they updated their menu and the girl who helped me out at the counter was very helpful. Had excellent customer service and made sure to reassure me that if I was looking for something from the old menu she can clarify for me. I was stuck between a few options but ultimately decided on the mango matcha. Overall the matcha was very good IMO but the boba was a bit overcooked. It was a little too mushy and had lost its "bounce". I've had boba here before and it is sometimes hit or miss just depending on the day and who's cooking the boba I guess.
We got the halo halo milkshake without ice cream and it was sweet and had a lot of toppings inside including multiple jellies and pearls. The buko pandan we split between three people and it was EXTREMELY sweet. It was also very thick, but did have a lot of different jellies and different toppings inside. Maybe adding some water or ice would have been nice in it. Overall, very sweet drinks but one of the few places that have 1, very Filipino choices both drinks and snacks and 2, very unique flavors like pandan. Enter at your own risk based on what your drink preferences is sweetness-wise and flavor-wise.
02/12/2024 Ordered Halo Halo Milkshake 3/5- my partner tried it and said it's good but nothing special. Ube Tres Leche 4/5- cake is soft and spongy, creamy from all the milk that the cake soaked up, good ube flavor and good amount of sweetness to keep eating. Sago Gulaman 3/5- brings back such nostalgia when I first sipped. It's a refreshing, banana flavor drink with grass jelly and sago. As a kid I would mix grass jelly with sugar, ice, banana extract and that would be my snack during summer. The sago is too soft for me and needs boba or jelly for texture. Ube puff pastry 2/5- it's flaky, sweet, and buttery but it lacks filling.Its 90% puff pastry sadly Buko Pandan 3/5- reminds me of Che Thai (Vietnamese fruit cocktail with milk) which is good. Has good Pandan and coconut flavor from the jellies. Not a fan of the toasted pinipig because it keeps get stuck in my teeth, so just a personal thing. Leche Flan 1/5- flan was overcooked, which made it dense rather than soft and creamy. There wasn't much caramel either so we mixed it with the Buko Pandan which made it a lot better. The portion is good but pricey for overcooked flan. I will still come back to tried the Taho (only available Friday, Saturday, Sunday) and other items but avoid certain ones. The owner is friendly and outgoing and the interior is warm and inviting. I hope you find this helpful Thanks
Small, cozy Filipino-owned boba shop with some street food and yummy drinks. One of a few places around the area that serves Filipino drinks and deserts. We got a Thai Milk Tea and a Taro Milkshake. The milk tea is solid, but the boba texture we had was a bit over cooked. The milkshake was more milk flavor than taro flavor. Didn't get the chance to try the snacks or street food but i'm sure they're great also. Service was friendly and kind. Ambience was warm and relaxing!
First time here! Walked in for a quick drink with my daughter to find out this is a Filipino owned restaurant! They had lots of my favorite dishes, like siapao, puto, and kassava I ordered a taro milk tea with coconut cream and lychee and purchased some puto as well -- *chefs kiss* -- my tummy and heart were content!! The owner was really nice and well spoken! We even recommended some other Filipino spots around town (which i look forward to visiting!) Their dining area was clean and calm and appeared to be super comfortable! i can't wait to bring my filipino mom here!!
Inside is very cute and there are many places to sit. We tried the Thai tea with coconut cream and the regular one -- both were pretty good but I actually prefer the coconut cream one! I also had a turon pastry and chicken steamed bun! Both were yummy. Def would recommend the steamed bun!! The girls at the front were very nice and working hard! I recommend this place if you are meeting up with a friend and want to be in a cute
I've been coming back almost every week since I found out that they have started offering Filipino treats. So close to where I work that that's not only dangerous but very destructively dangerous! LOL If you're like me who have been missing Filipino snacks and treats then Tea Town is your place to be. Friendly owners, consistent and fast service especially at this age and time we are living in. They also offer curbside delivery and deliveries using a third party service. They are also conveniently located next to a Filipino restaurant which I haven't tried yet.

We've been eating here and it was good from the first few visits but lately their arroz caldo has become a valenciana, not soupy bit dry. Not sure whether the staff doesn't know how arroz caldo looks like or the staff doesn't know that caldo means soup/broth? This is the 2nd time I had a dry arroz caldo. At first I ignored and did not do any review but the 2nd time, they have to know. Please fix your arroz caldo or orient your staff doing it to add more broth/water when cooking or heating up maybe ? read more
I came by for their buko pandan and arroz caldo on a Saturday afternoon around 4:30. The place was empty. The restaurant is small but has plenty of seating. The staff was super nice and helpful - answered all my questions. The drink came out fast. It was pretty good, not too sweet, very coconut-y, and had pinipig mixed in. The arroz caldo was pretty good too - it had a strong spicy ginger flavor with lots of chicken and some egg. Simple, flavorful, and hearty. read more

I haven't had popcorn chicken in years. I came here specifically for popcorn chicken. Ordered it, paid $10, and it came out in a tray that was 80% fries and 20% popcorn chicken. They both did taste good, but I felt skimped. My gf got the taro milk tea and did not enjoy it read more

Been here several times for their drinks and absolutely DIVINE ube tres leches but decided to sit and order a small Banana Rhuma Its a banana spring roll and it is AMAZING and the caramel sauce they drizzle over it was so good, literally stringy when you pull them apart read more

Came in for taho but they didn't have during that day I came in so I ordered the mango sago since it was new on the menu. It was so good. They had fresh mangoes, mango jelly and mango popping boba. Kinda like a mango milk tea. Might have to come back to try other things on the menu. read more

I ordered the streetfood platter . It had fish ball, shrimp ball and kikiam. All where good. What made it special where the dipping sauces. My friend ordered pink gulaman. They runned out of gulaman so they used sago. It was still good. Staff service was good. read more

The house milk tea tasted really watered down. It tasted like water with a hint of milk and did not taste sweet at all. There was no ice at all, and it was almost like room temperature? The shop was also really hot and humid. read more
My favorite here is the arrozcaldo with tokwa - unfortunately, these are only available during the weekends. :( I tried the street platter, but I only liked the fishballs - definitely try out the fishballs! I have also tried the mami and lumpiang shanghai but thought they were just okay. The steamed bun (siomai) is also a must try - i love the chicken flavor! Cute adorable little boba shop with wafflepuffs or bubble waffle! Tons of other street foods here worth mentioning. There are skewers, empanadas (pork and chicken), chicken steam bun, noodle soup, and Ube cupcakes! A delightful place to hangout, with free WIFI. My wife and I came here with the intent to order taho, BUT ended up adding more items from their menu. Filipinos in N Texas, unlike those in more dense culturally rich communities in CA, NY, IL, live in fractured pockets, challenging them to find restaurants serving very good Filipino dishes & delicacies worth sharing. Sure there are handfuls of Filipino buffet-types in the metroplex rotating the same dishes every week into "beentheredonethatsville" that appeal to the 'bang-for-your-buck' diners. PASS ako... If you're looking for a full blown 'Barrio Fiesta' sit down type restaurant, avert your eyes to INIHAW AVENUE in Las Colinas, best in DFW metro IMO (read my Yelp review). Some reviewers in the minority cite sticker shock. However, I value freshly cooked tasty dining experiences over price any day. No complaints here... If you're looking for lutong bahay 'turo-turo', Kainan sa Laguna is THE PLACE. Down home owners serving fulfilling dinuguan, bicol express, at kare kare to name just a few. Tea Town is an order-at-counter modernly efficient designed resto, IDEAL for mirienda, IMO. Their electronic menu boards present: milk teas, fruit teas, milkshakes, smoothies with boba, leche flan, various Filipino snack treats, street food, pink gulaman, sago't gulaman, AND most importantly, taho! (see pics) We ordered beef pares; arrozcaldo; tokwa't baboy; pork siopao; pork siomai; and taho. Towards the end of our meal, I overheard owner, Jojo, describe the Okinawa milk tea ingredients to two customers. Honestly, he had me at "brown sugar". Unfortunately, our bellies were more than satisfactorily full and decided to look forward to trying the various other beverages for future return visits. We ordered the Green Apple Lychee Green tea with 75% sugar and Mango Strawberry black tea with 50% sugar. The barista taking my order suggested the green apple lychee green tea and it was one of the best green apple drinks I've had. Typically, green apple drinks have an artificial taste and aftertaste but this one didn't. I would recommend 100% sweet for those who do have more of a sweet tooth though. The drinks were amazing, and I would definitely come back again for more. Many of the drinks also come with boba. However, you are charged extra if you want another topping that is not boba. We also ordered the Pandan Mamon chiffon cake. The cake was a bit overpriced as it was about $5 for a little bigger than palm-sized cake. The cake was a really good sweetness but I expected the chiffon cake to be a little less dry. For almost $5, I think that other bakery items may be better. With that being said, the drinks were really tasty and the workers were really nice. read more
I ordered the leche flan latte and made it with more sugar and my wife got the waffle and a drink I can not recall. We went there because my wife always craves for boba so we got to go right. The waffle was good as we were snacking on the way home and me as usually drank the drink very fast. read more

Tried the hot Matcha Milk Tea and the Peach Mango Passionfruit Green Tea with mango popping boba. The Matcha Milk Tea was pretty good but I didn't enjoy the other drink at all, thought it was pretty bland to be honest. I definitely plan on going back though bc I'd love to try some of the Filipino street food that they serve since I've heard many people rave about it. read more

I love coming to this place to have my sagot gulaman! There is nothing more refreshing than that! The owner is always so kind to hear how I want my drink made and does his best to deliver it to make my tastebud happy. The service and drinks are top notch! Love that there's a place not too far from me that has Filipino treats and drinks! After moving from Los Angeles last year I was sad to find places pretty far from where I live now. Luckily I was running errands and this place popped up. I got the sapin sapin and it was so good, just like how I had it growing up. My taro drink with coconut cream was really good, I liked the texture of the boba as well. If I'm ever in the area I'll make sure to stop by. read more

I love everything about this shop. Literally everything. I didn't know what to order when I walked in and the gal that took my order was super helpful. I asked her what she recommended for a pretty drink and she told me the Okinawa Milk Tea! She was so right! It was super pretty but also super delicious! It tasted kind of like brown sugar milk tea and that's one of my favorite flavors. Their menu features so many interesting items that I can't wait to try! I can guarantee I'll be back for more because you just can't find customer service like what they offer there. Everyone was just so friendly and the atmosphere was great and the inside decor was super cute! I'm definitely going to try the Arroz Caldo and the Buko Pandan drink when I go back! read more
Having lived in Cali all my life and now in TX, I've tried many many drinks from many many boba tea shops. Today, I decided to stop here when I heard they sold Pandan flavored stuff since that's my favorite thing ever. I ordered the Buko Pandan and it is legit the best beverage I've ever had. It has Pandan jelly as one would expect, but what was a pleasant surprised was the crunchy texture of the toasted pinipig (essentially immature rice grains that are toasted) that really made it so special. The drink base itself, it tasted like coconut milk immersed with Pandan flavor but I honestly can't tell. For my fellow Vietnamese peeps, the base of the drink reminded me of che Banh lot but a bit richer and nuttier. It's such a complex drink yet so simple at the same time. Highly recommend! read more

This place makes me sad I don't live in Plano cause it was so good. The place it's self was really cute and had seating as well, but I got my items to go. The menu has a lot to choose from and everything seems good. I decided to try the peach mango passion fruit green tea with mango boba. As well as an order of spicy popcorn chicken. My tea was ready really quickly but my popcorn chicken took a little bit longer. Not complaining cause fresh food always wins! The tea was so refreshing and delicious. The spicy popcorn chicken was flavorful, didn't expect to be full from a snack. The pricing is also good. Although I don't live in the area, I am sure I will be back. read more

I enjoyed the Thai milk tea. I ordered a pretty basic drink that is hard to mess up! But my experience at Tea Town was enjoyable. But the ube cupcake was awesome! It wasn't too sweet, in a good way. I met up with a friend on a Thursday evening. There were a few tables and a couch area with a few games. Tea Town offers a variety of teas, but also some cakes and street food. Next time in, I will order some food with my tea. read more
