Kung Fu Tea is a nice place to get some boba tea. I tried the Oreo WOW boba tea - it was pretty tasty. The pricing is pretty standard for boba tea around $7 for a big one. They have a bunch of additional toppings that you can put in your tea as well. Note that standard they put a ton of the balls in the teas so if you don't like that, you might want to ask for less. Overall, I'd recommend.

The restaurant is small but there are 6 tables... I think most of the customers don't sit inside and drink their beverages. My husband ordered the Strawberry Milk slush with tapioca and I ordered the KF Milk Tea and I added tapioca. Both drinks are very very very tasty and not overly sweet which we love! We will definitely come here again!!

First time here and the place is so cute!! The staff was friendly and there were so many options on the menu which I appreciated. I got the taro milk green tea with boba which was delicious! I also like how there are many locations. I would definitely go back.

Was so excited Kung Fu Tea opened in the suburbs. They are one of my favorite boba tea places in Chinatown. We went on a Saturday evening and there was a steady line of customers, but their customer service was extraordinary. They were so kind and polite. I tried the Coffee Wow Milk Cap. The coffee was rich and bold, but not too strong. The milk cap provided creamy richness, resulting in a smooth coffee. The boba does not fail and is sweet and fresh. I am excited to try many of their new seasonal specials. If you try ordering on the app , it may say this location is closed after 8 p.m., because it is based on NY time, but they are open. Hopefully this will be fixed and not deter customers from stopping in. Can't wait to go back.

A new bubble tea/ milk tea place in Rolling Meadows gets the win! Their grand opening was quite generous, with a BOGO on select teas and punches. I got the Kung Fu Milk Tea and was able to add the bubble tea. It had a great flavor of earl grey. You can select how much sugar and ice you get in your drink. I was able to tailor it without feeling like a jerk! They also seal it so you can take it to go, which is great! This is a family business and they are EFFICIENT! They have a new customer with me, I can't wait to try more drinks!

Went here since it's close enough to grab some drinks, and drive over to Busse woods for a nature walk. The selection is pretty sizable with different milk teas, milk foam topped drinks, and slushes. I went with a coffee milk tea with milk foam on top, and it was pretty good. My friend went with taro milk tea, and said it tasted nothing like taro. It is pretty inconvenient that there is a $10 minimum on card purchases. I would come back again to try the different drinks they have if I'm passing by. Will just have to do the awkward dance of "I'll get it"-"no, I can pay this time" (since you need 2 drinks to meet the CC minimum)

We were in the neighborhood and it was a hot day, so we decided to stop by and get a boba tea drink! I ordered their most popular drink: Cocoa Cream/Original Wow (it's the brown sugar bubble tea drink) I didn't change the sweetness and it was just perfect! My husband and I love the boba at Kung Fu Tea. We like how this place is close to us. We used to always go to the one in china town but that was before we found out about this location. My husband loves the taro and mango. I love the winter melon milk tea both hot and cold. But the only thing is they always run out of boba and they sometimes miss our order. It happened to us three times where a group of people after us got their drinks before us. They do apologize but that just means we have to wait another 5 min or so for them to make our drink (especially if it's busy). We still come here because we love the quality but service isn't always there. read more

Ordered for pick up at 6:22pm, to be picked up at 6:45. About 20minutes. Should be enough to make two boba teas, right? Wrong. Came to pick it up with a little extra leeway at 6:55. STILL not ready. Finally got my two bobas at 7:16pm. That's almost an hour wait. For the quality and taste of teas compared to the wait time it's NOT worth it. Stay away from Kung Fu, and try boba tea at other places in the area like Umbrella or Elitea. You will not have to wait so long and the taste will be MUCH better!! read more

Finally a place I love dearly that is not far from home...I used to make the drive to chinatown just to get my kft Milk tea fix but sometimes the distance is too far...but a kft in the northwest suburbs!? Yes please!! I got the signature classic kung fu Milk tea and oolong tea..both are just as good!! Love the boba its a nice bouncy chewy texture..il def be back..the staff there said they are doing a buy 1 get 1 free Feb 26 to 28.probably gonna go back once a day to get that deal! read more

Im so glad they finally opened a kungfu tea in the subburbs! Live in desplaines and they're just 10mins away! Tried the brown sugar, the kungfu and the thai milk tea and they were all great! My girlfriend liked the brown sugar, and I personally preferred the kungfu milk tea. Will definitely be coming back often! read more

Delicious! I had the Thai milk tea and the wife had strawberry lemonade , all fresh ingredients so delicious and tasty. Would recommend since going all the way to the city for bubble tea is out of the question. Over 90 combinations to add to your drinks. Stop I'm to the new location read more

I went in this place just being spontaneous since I was in area. As soon as I entered the place I know it's not gonna be good. I can feel the vibes but I don't want to leave and being rude. So I went to order a mango snow with boba regular size. Oh boy I was right it was the nastiest drink I've ever had. It was watery like sipping into a juice... what happened to the ice? I just wasted 7-8 bucks and my gas. Never again coming to this shit hole again. read more

I placed an order online and tried calling several times immediately after to change the pickup time. My call went straight to voicemail each time. When I stopped by a few hours later, they said the phone never rang. They had the tea ready from a few hours ago so all the ice had melted and it was watered down. I understand there may have been an issue with their phone but they didn't even check - just kept insisting no one had called. The tea itself was a 2.5/5 (I got the rose hip milk tea). I wish there was an option to change the sugar level online but right now there is no option to do so. The 1 star is because their listed phone number doesn't go through, they did nothing to check on this issue, and I was given the watered-down and lukewarm tea from earlier even though I had tried multiple times to contact them to change the pickup time. There were no apologies or offers to remake the drink either. read more

This place is inside the Walmart shopping center strip mall. I'm very pleased to see the selection and unique menu. They make boba tea with Yakult(yogurt tasting probiotic drink from Japan). It took them a while for them to make ours, but during this time of pandemic, maybe they have online order. Very clean. My daughter is in a cookies and cream phase and try one every chance she gets and Kung Fu is so far the top tier in the category. We will be back. read more

Came a few times since it opened and was satisfied with my drinks. There was always a male cashier who was friendly and helped with choosing drinks. It looked like they got a few new hires. I came today and the male cashier was delegating to two girls, I'm guessing are high schoolers. They seemed young and focused more on socializing with one another and made no intention to attend to customers. There were a few people after me waiting. Even when messing up with my drink, one just grabbed already used mixer from the sink and re-did my drink. Gross. Probably never coming back - with COVID regulations, I would have thought they would think twice doing that right in front of me. Too bad... I really wanted to support this shop. read more

Was looking to try a new place for boba and looked up a few places. Decided on Kung Fu Tea. I ordered a Black Tea Wow milk cap and a coconut almost slush both with boba. The Coconut almond slush was very refreshing and tasted great. The Black Tea Wow milk cap was pretty decent. I would definitely go there again but i'd just try something different. I was introduced to Kung Fu Tea at college so I know their menu pretty well and consider it a boba shop that has consistently good drinks. The menu is also expansive and super customizable. However, this particular location doesn't have the greatest service. When I stopped by today, the workers were huddled around, chatting, and were clearly sharing a Little Caesar's pizza at the counter. I've worked in food service before and you are not supposed to eat where you serve, especially in view of customers. I also had trouble getting the cashier's attention since they were so engrossed in conversation. I'll continue returning for the drinks but I'll hope I get served by different employees in the future. read more

I've been to a lot of boba places, and this is the best boba I've ever had. It's specifically the bubbles themselves that are excellent--they are soft and have a delicious sweet taste. Usually I don't much like boba and just get a small amount for something to chew on within the drink. But this place, the boba itself was like it's own dessert and I wanted more! I got the mango slush and added boba to it for 50 cents. If I were to go again I would want to try a milk tea like Thai! Heads up: they take cash only when you spend under $10 but it's worth it even if you are used to paying with card. :) read more

I have been getting the red bean slush many times this summer. Usually it is very good but lately the slush was more just ice than red bean flavor. Something was not consistent how they make this. Because of this no plan to come again anytime soon or recommend friends to come to Kung Fu tea. read more

Anytime I'm feeling like boba tea, this is the go to spot for me. Their menu is expansive with lots of options for teas, drinks, toppings, flavors etc. The place is very inviting and & nice place to chill out with friends-predominantly teen/young adults here. Prices are mid. Biggest downside is the wait time, on average I wait about 10 minutes for two drinks. Not to mention, they only take a couple forms of payment. Other than that, great tasting drinks & teas!! read more

I got two drinks last weekend and let me tell you, the service was great and the boba was amazing. I had been driving past and seeing whether KFT was open yet and I saw that it was and I was so excited, I walked in and I was greeted by two girls probably around my age and they were the nicest people ever. For me, I love to make conversation with workers and not just come in for the actual product so the fact that everyone in the store was super personable and nice just made the experience better. As for the boba, the oreo drink is so worth the five-six dollars, it's actually amazing and I crave it every day now and I also got some peach tea thing (I think) and it was equally as good. I'll definitely be coming in more often because I really enjoy this place. read more

Last time my parents took my daughter, I tried a Coconut Purple Berry tea and added tapioca. It is tea, coconut milk, and like, chunks of guava--delicious. I can tell you my daughter's go to is a Taro Milkshake which is milk and taro blended--very delicious! The presentation is appealing--it looks like white clouds in a purple sky. Other drinks I have tried include their galaxy lemon tea, a sort of ocean lemonade (?), etc. My daughter also lives for their croffles--I know she has had matcha, tiramisu, plain, etc. Last night's choice was matcha and there was not a crumb left in the box. Ordering is easy on the kiosk, and the staff is quiet, but friendly. I have been there with different sized groups at different times of day, and the food, drinks, and service are always consistent. Sometimes it's packed, sometimes it's not. Driving back home, I wanted to yell at all the youths in that green siren logoed coffee shop to drink something better across the parking lot, but I did not. I hope Straw & Bubbles continues to find Mount Prospect to be a good home!

Not only is there a food court of different Japanese restaurants to try, there is also a grocery store, bakery, bookstore, and stores that sell ice cream, traditional desserts, as well as crepes and boba tea! My family and I visit here often every year and we like to try the different foods and desserts and then check out the bookstore and grocery store afterwards. My favorite foods so far have been the beef udon soup with a soft boiled egg, shrimp and vegetable tempura, miso soup, and Japanese curry with rice, beef, and vegetables (carrots and potatoes). My son always gets the chicken and beef on a stick and my daughter usually gets a garlic pork dish with white rice but I forget what this dish is called. My husband also enjoys the beef udon soup like I do. I swear that whenever my food is finished, I am legit sad! The crepes are good, there is a variety of boba teas to try, and the ice creams are delicious! Lychee has been my favorite so far but I have yet to try the matcha, red bean, among others! You can get a small sample of different ice cream flavors too, which is nice! I sampled the red bean flavor so that will be my go-to next time! At the grocery store, I love buying Happy Turn snacks which are like a sweet and salty crunchy cracker (maybe it is made of rice?) that are individually wrapped and mochi from the fridge area. Finally, I usually like to buy mochi from the store right next to the bookstore. The mochi from this location is the best! I usually buy multiple flavors to take home and eat at a later time! You must try these! My kids love checking out the bookstore and they usually pick something out for me to buy for them - whether it is a book, keychain, etc. There are magazines, anime figurines, soft plushy toys, pens, and stationary, etc. It is interesting to browse through the things they have there! You cannot bring food or drinks inside but they do have a shelf at the entrance where you can place your drink there if you like. The first time visiting here, the majority of the customers were Asians and as the years have passed, there is now more of an influx of non-Asians who simply love the food and appreciate the culture, which I think is neat! The first time I visited here was with my college roommate who was from Japan and she recommended this place back in 2009 perhaps? I have been visiting ever since with my family. We travel more than an hour from Wisconsin to come here but it is 100% worth the drive! Also, the cashiers and workers there are quick, efficient, and friendly. I have even been able to practice a few of the Japanese phrases I have learned with a couple of the cashiers too (I asked if they spoke Japanese first)! Overall, Mitsuwa is my happy place! Great food, interesting finds, different culture, and everyone there looks excited to be there. This is as close to visiting Japan as I can get until I keep learning more Japanese and save up enough money to go visit Japan someday! This is my dream! In the meantime, we will keep visiting Mitsuwa!

We ran out of rice at home; a staple for this Filipina! I was pleased with the quality of food here, variety, and helpful store employees, that I plan to return again soon, even if it is a little farther for us to travel. Let's just say, I am avoiding the parking lot mess and longer lines at nearby H-Mart or Jong Boo in Schaumburg. I appreciate that my favorite brown sushi rice cones in a 5 or 15 pound bag. And there is a good variety of sauces and seasonings to make my favorite dishes at home. The food court here is a definite must and the salmon sushi roll with soy paper we had was so fresh, the salmon was "like butter." The ingredients, with a little bit of spice inside, went well with the fruit kissed brews at nearby Mikerphone Brewing. They let you b.y.o. food at the brewery, so Tensuke makes a convenient stop. The sweet lady at the register complimented my choice of the Hello Kitty Soy Sauce bottle. (So I am a sucker for cute condiments!) I look forward to trying some hot food items here, next visit.

If you're looking for quick eats while doing some Asian grocery shopping, it's definitely worth checking out. One thing I really like is that finding a table isn't difficult. They have a separate dining hall with plenty of long tables and seating, plus a free-refill miso soup station and a water station for convenience. Pricing here is noticeably lower compared to Hmart. The udon noodle soup is a family favorite, especially for our kids and moms. At Hmart, a bowl of this would run about $15-16 but here for $12.50, you get a generous bowl plus a side like two egg rolls or gyoza, and a small miso soup bowl with seaweed and tofu (you can refill the miso soup at the station). If you skip the side, you save about $1. The Godzilla roll is also a great deal--eight large pieces for about $14. My oldest loved it and was completely full from the sushi. They also offer poke bowls and chicken teriyaki rice plates, which my husband ordered during our visit. My only gripe is that many of the dishes tend to be on the salty side--they could definitely tone that down. Our udon broth tasted good, but we ended up adding some water to dilute it. They also offer discounted cooked hot and cold items--sometimes 30% to 50% off--after the dinner rush (probably after 7 PM). I picked up a large container kimchi pork soup to go for under $5 but it was also quite salty so I took most of it home, added more water and it was perfect as leftovers next day. Ordering is simple: you select your items and pay at a kiosk, enter your buzzer number, and it will vibrate when your food is ready for pickup at the counter. Eating inside a grocery store has its perks--you can grab extra snacks or drinks to customize your meal, and then browse the store afterward. Our moms and kids always enjoy coming here with us--it's definitely more fun for them than a typical grocery run. Overall, prices are reasonable and they run good deals. It's smaller than H Mart, so there are fewer options, but if you prefer a less crowded and more relaxed environment, you might actually like Tensuke better.

There is no indoor dining for this place but they've got some outdoor picnic tables you can eat at! However, just about every table was already taken by all the families with kids, so I just ate in my truck (which was fine, since it was a bit chilly outside)! Anyway, I will definitely be back!! Last night, we placed an order for six drinks through the app at around 8:30 pm, clearly specifying "less ice" on all the drinks. We reached the location immediately after placing the order as we were nearby. Upon entering the store, we noticed the manager, a tall blonde girl, blatantly ignoring our request and preparing our drinks full of ice. When asked to go easy on the ice, she responded rudely, "No ice, no problem!" and threw the ice violently on the sink, making the other employee laugh. We were appalled by their behavior, especially considering the fact that we were giving them a generous 7-dollar tip for our order. Needless to say, we had a terrible experience and have decided not to return to this location. We also plan to share our experience with everyone who usually goes there. read more
