I came in today to buy some stuff that I needed, I was there around 2:30pm. The girl was very friendly and helpful and I found what I needed. I have been a customer here for about 5 years. I appreciate how this place has flexible shopping hours and is always well stocked. The girls that work here are always helpful and knowledgeable about the inventory as well. Today the girls name was Valerie and she was sharing with me the hair extensions she has available and pricing etc. the quality looks nice for a competitive price. I usually drive to upland so I'm glad to find a hair place closer to home! I'm so excited to come back and purchase those when I have the extra $. Be aware of Toral S. the Eyebrow person at Kut n beauty in Chino Hills CA. (Actually, no stars should be given but I had to choose one.) A few days ago, I made an appointment to get my eyebrows done with the eyebrow person named Toral who has a booth located in Kut N Beauty in Chino Hills. I had been going to Toral on and off when I could not get an appointment with my regular person at another shop. So anyway, this is what happened. I walk into the shop, and Toral has her back turned towards me, when I said, "hello Toral", she turned to look at me, and she had a tissue in her hand and was wiping her nose, and her eyes were red and glossy. I had never seen her look like that before. I was taken aback because I didn't want her near my face to give me her cold or her flu. I told her that I was going to use the restroom, and as I walked through the hall towards the restroom, I had made up my mind that I was going to cancel my appointment, and then text her back with the reason because she had another customer waiting for her, and I didn't want to say it in front of them. So that's what I did. I told her that I wanted to cancel, and I'd contact her. While in my car, I immediately texted Toral and told her that I could see that she was not feeling well and that I would make another appointment with her. Then about 15 minutes later, Toral called me sounding very anxious, and loud. She said in a very loud angry voice that she is not sick and that she never gets sick and that she did not like that I was "Judging her". WHAT!!!! Judging her? She truly sounded like she was on drugs, and was out of her mind, ranting like a crazed lunatic. I stayed very calm and said, "no I am not judging you, you looked like you were sick because you were wiping your nose, your face was red and your eyes were red and glossy". I told her that I didn't want to get sick and that I am sorry if she felt bad that I sad that. And instead of leaving it alone, she continued to rant and rave, saying that this was VERY upsetting, and finally she hung up the phone in my face. (THIS IS NOT NORMAL)..... At that point, I decided to text her because she was yelling so loud that I couldn't get a word in edgewise, and I knew that she would read the text, so I texted and wrote this, "I didn't appreciate you calling me with nonsense. What was I supposed to think. You were wiping your nose, and your eyes were glossy and red. I think you ARE sick. And I don't want to catch your cold or flu, and that is my right. You have lost a client. Good luck with your terrible attitude, that is going to get you nowhere." Then I blocked her!! I hope others block her too because that was not normal behavior. Basically, she was MAD because I told her that I thought she was sick... Wow! We all have a rights to our own opinions, and I know what my eyes were seeing, and that is why I concluded that she was sick. That being said, this was by far the craziest interaction that I have ever had with ANYONE IN MY LIFE. I am a professional counselor, and I have seen it all, but not this one. Sometimes life throws you a tomato instead of a ball just to make sure that you are still paying attention. Keep your eyes wide open. These kinds of people are out there. And it's awful when you realize that you had been dealing with them, not knowing what they were capable of. Creepy. I will have to say a prayer for her, but I will n Part two: (In order to understand this issue, please read Yelp part one first if you haven't already.) After writing my initial Yelp review, I decided to call the store manager to share my concerns. Unfortunately, he was extremely biased. While he claimed he wasn't discounting my experience, that's exactly what he did. (What a joke! Even though nothing is funny about this experience). The manager told me that he had known Toral for twenty years, even from when he was a kid, and he insisted that she had never done ANYTHING wrong. He also said she hadn't been sick and that EVERYONE LOVES her. Then out of nowhere, he mentioned that he wasn't going to fire her. Huh!?! I never asked for him to fire her. Where did that come from? That was just another way of him shutting down my concerns instead of addressing them. The fact that an employee, or as he called her, an independent contractor felt entitled to call my personal phone, be disrespectful yelling , and hanging up the phone in my face because I thought she was sick and wanted to cancel an appointment is completely unacceptable. And the manager's refusal to take my complaint seriously shows a complete lack of professionalism on his part. I'll be reporting this to other agencies and reminding my family and friends to avoid going to this store. No customer should be treated this way, and the manager should be ashamed of how terribly he handled my call. read more

Madison the store manager truly cares about her customers. Went to her store one time months ago. And she remembered everything about my girlfriend and I. She remembered the hair product I like, my girlfriend can't remember the product. She remembered the conversation we had. I can't recall what I was doing before I walked through the door LoL. She walk us to the products we were looking for told us about clearance and answered all of the questions we asked her, without making us feel like she had something else going on. Told her I wanted a style change but I had nothing in mind besides wanting to cut my bad ombre job off since the ends were dry + wanted my hair to feel healthy again. Love that I was sent a reminder with Appointfix two hours prior to my appointment time. The storefront isn't appealing but the staff was friendly and helpful. Waited no longer than ten minutes before Stephanie greeted me. She's super nice, patient, and knows exactly what she's doing/talking about. She spent a good five minutes explaining different options of new styles I could go with, from the Selena Gomez long bob, to a graduated bob, and I finally opted for a rounded cut with layers since I needed more volume. She listened to exactly what I wanted and didn't want, and executed perfectly. Also gave me a deep conditioning treatment which left my hair silky soft. I couldn't stop touching my hair and flipping it. Honestly did not want to wash my hair after she styled it so beautifully... My boyfriend loved it too! All for $27. I haven't been to a hairstylist in years, more then five years...I don't really trust anyone. Got a hold of one of the stylists there named LaVeda. She was able to get me an appointment in a reasonable amount of time. I was deciding to cut off a large amount of my hair and she made me comfortable enough to get it done. Not impressed...... called the place recently to inquire if they had any hair stylists available for my fiance...Got put on hold and the lady never came back to follow up on the phone.. (strike 2) and when did so, this blonde girl comes over and asks who needed the hair cut. My fiance says "me..." she proceeds to ask some stupid questions. Then...we asked how much, she says $18+. We say, OK that's do-able although my fiance's main hairstylist (about 45 minutes away) only charges $10 and does a phenomenal job..We decide to stay anyway. She calls someone, then says "OK go ahead and take a seat, someone will be here to help you shortly, in 5 mins." We wait.....at the seat, and wait for over 5 mins...(strike 3) we then DECIDE it wasn't worth it. we LEFT AND NEVER LOOKED BACK. it felt liberating & amazing. Erica saved my day! My wedding was last Wednesday, and I couldn't find anyone last minute to dye my natural black hair blonde/do bleaching. I called the salon, and Erica answered, and said she could be at the salon in 30 min. Just her sense of urgency alone and actually caring about my situation was good enough for me, even though I had to drive a bit from Brea to get to the salon. Everyone here is super nice and down to earth, and she worked very fast and treated my whole experience like she made me top priority.
