I was told by owner and staff that the company does not allow them to install the lubricant (oil) of my choice and that I have to get the most expensive synthetic oil. This is a lie. I called other KWICK KARS locations and was told I could select any oil I want. There is a charge on the bill for shop supplies (10%). I was told it paid for the rags. Another lie. Rags don't cost 10% of the bill. Also, since I paid for them they should be mine to take with me. The owner said he was giving me a break by not charging me tax. Another lie. They stay open til the time on the sign posted but Trch did tell me "only taking vehicles til 3:45 because it's Siperbowl Sunday." I called up couple days later and ask what they charged for the same oil change and was told they have to look at the car before quoting! It's a civic. Steer clear of this place. My husband has worked exclusively for years with Kwik Lube & Tune of Copperas Cove and Amit Patel, the owner for our Lexus cars. Now my husband has a fatal chronic disease and it is me taking care of everything. Amit has been wonderful and like a guardian angel. He has taken care of any of my auto needs. In fact he just sold one of our cars as soon as I told him I needed to get rid of it and wouldn't take any pay for this. There are not many people that are this good. I can't believe the bad reviews on here. I think someone is out to get Kwik Lube and give them a bad name. How sad! Amit and the people at Kwik Lube are some of the good people in the world today. Wish I could give them negative 5. Horrible customer service. Extremely rude male that goes by the name of "Cowboy". Came in with two vehicles today. Simply wanted a regular 20$ oil change. Both vehicles have less than 20k miles. Was told from "Cowboy" that it's recommended for vehicles after 2011 to have full synthetic. Cool, but I just need a regular oil change. We don't have high miles. We get our oil change way more than recommend, regular is fine. He kept arguing with me! Luckily my husband was in our other vehicle so I told him to go tell my husband what he just said. My husband laughed and said just give us the regular oil. Nope, wouldn't budge. So we left. As we were leaving, his 3 other co workers kept saying "come on Cowboy, let's just do it". Nope. Nope. Nope. I wish I would of read these reviews first and took them seriously. We just left and out of curiosity I looked them up here on yelp. They changed our oil and did our safety inspection just now and and the guys that handled our vehicle were awesome. They got right to it and it lasted about ten minutes. Not bad at all! Also their prices were great compared to the other places we were looking at so that is also a plus! read more

I will never go here again. I went in on Friday to get my car inspected. I stood at the counter for five minutes before a guy finally came in and started talking to someone in the waiting area (no big deal and completely fine) however once he finished talking to her he looked at me and said (not asked) "Inspection, have a seat we will get to you when we can" first off he assumed I wanted an inspection and didn't ask and second it obvious you will get to me when you can. How about an estimate or a simple we don't have time today. I waited for about 15 minutes when a gentleman came in and stood at the counter for less than a minute when the same employee came in and asked how he could help him. The man stated he needed an inspection so the employee asked him to put his keys and insurance card on the counter and he would get to him soon. WTH I wasn't told that. Was his car going to get inspected before mine since his keys were on the counter? Was I treated poorly because I am a woman? I don't know and unfortunately I couldn't ask him because he went back to the shop and I left. If I wanted to be treated like that I would go hang out with teenagers. Very unprofessional. I should have read the reviews first. BTW when I was waiting there they told a customer she needed new wipers. After reading the reviews it seems this place has a thing for selling wipers. They failed my inspection because of the windshield wipers, which I inspected before I went and they looked fine to me at the time. Went here for a simple car inspection. They told me my license plate light was out and that they would fix it..ok ...no problem.. I pass inspection etc...I drive off. I stop by the store and as i walk behind my car i realize my license plate light is literally hanging. So i drive back to quick car and they had the nerve to tell me that i drove in with it already like that, and that I can watch the cameras if I want. In my opinion this place is dishonest amd sketchy. Sign said 19.99 for an oil change I went in they said 53. I asked why they said "because my car used synthetic oil." So I said alright if its synthetic, then after I left I realized wait if it was synthetic then I really didnt need an oil change. I was only at 3,500 miles since the last one. So then technically I didnt need one because synethic oil lasts 12,000-15,000. Feel like they just told me it was synthetic not even knowing. Then they put on a sticker that said the next oil change is 3,000 miles, which if ur system automatically prints that number like they said after calling a questioning it. This man is a rip off. One of my belts in my car broke so I took it here being a Sunday he was the o ly place open. He told me that my serpentine belt was the one that broke the one that kept my car cool I had it towed to this man because it was overheating he quoted me $280 be the only place open I said okay and went to McDonalds and sat around with my 1 year old playing for almost two hours then call to see how it's going and I was told they could not find the parts so it would be Monday before they can start so I called my uncle who is a mechanic and he said no do not do it is a rip off so I called my insurance and had it towed to my normal mechanic as I was calling the tow truck the owner came out to talk to me and I felt bad because he gave me a speech about people getting ripped off and that he could do it he just could not find the parts today he tried really hard so out of guilt I paid for the one part he had he charged me 54.07 for the belt the next day after my car had been at the shop of my normal mechanic Elite auto work in Belton Texas he called me with a finished price of $135 as well as told me the belt I paid 54 dollars for was only a $22 belt. The kwik Kar man was trying to charge me double. I will never go back to this man. read more

If i could put 0 stars I would! They spotted a serious concern and originally went above and beyond to fix it before critical failure. However, one of the mechanics put a grease gun to my upper and lower control arm boots in the front end and blew them out by over filling. I even called them only to be told that's not possible when I actually DO know better. I may not have the jacks to do this work myself and needed a shop to perform the work. Um...yes you can very easily overfill the boots and telling me they were dry rotted without even looking, oh man I wasn't born yesterday. Plus telling a 10+yr certified Ford mechanic he is wrong without listening to what is being said, hell no. Oh and those break pads they said were very "low" in life, were not even thru the break-in wear bands! Found that out replacing the wheel bearings a little bit later. Knowledge is power, know what they are doing if you dare to take your vehicle there. I know that I will take my business elsewhere, preferably doing it myself considering I can't find an honest shop, but that's how they make money right. Then we put the cherry on top by having them take the protective cap off my passenger side and not put it back, but hey the manager says he did me a favor. That will only serve to cause unnecessary rust and debris to get into the end of my half shaft. This shop has a manager with out a moral compass and a gear for money. Make sure to check your bill! They "recommended" a 50,000 service had just had done at their location, 20,000 prior, but i called them on that one..so they back tracked. Then they said i needed another 30,000 mile service so I agreed to it, only to find per their records i had, had it done 11,000 early...at their location! Then tried to say they called me to rectify this, when in fact i had to call them after i had the documentation together that i had in fact had the services done. Every time i have gone there they always find something else i need to get done outside of my request, after this i truly question if it was always in my best intrest...make sure they are doing what's right!!! s read more

Excessively rude have had the same thing wrong with my truck for years have asked ACTUAL mechanics and tire service people if what was wrong with my truck would ever affect it and was told no cause I have a 5 star lug and only missing 1 well today I went in for an inspection and was told my inspections has been out since April when in fact my sticker says May and then told me I failed for said problem I said fine I'll go somewhere else who passed me and then the gentleman proceeded to tell me he will flag my truck if I get it inspected and registered and have my truck impounded and have a ticket sent to me. I went here for a simple vehicle inspection and after being with my car (which is in fine shape as I passed my inspection a few minutes down the road with no issues) they said they couldn't pass me because a headlight was loose.. no headlights were loose at all. They just didn't want to do their jobs. I go not even a mile down the road and realize they had broken my insulation off the inside of my hood when they slammed it closed, so I call and they said they will fix it. I go back in to get it fixed and JUSTIN thought it was FUNNY and was laughing saying he didn't do it. We then were told this same kid JUSTIN had a gun pulled on him last week at this facility! They trashed my car, took things out of the glove box and threw it on the floor, boxes on my seat were thrown on the front floor, and anything under the seat was also taken out and left on the floor. Horrible!!! Owner is VERY unprofessional. Had a car emergency and had to pull into their shop. Wish I would have just had it towed somewhere else. My father-in-law was helping me with everything while my husband was deployed and had one of the workers quote him one price. When we went in to pay our bill was $300 higher. When we contacted the owner (per one of the people working there) the owner was extremely rude. They refused to give us a break down of parts and labor. Refused to listen to what one of his own workers said as a quote, accused my father-in-law of trying to get something for free, and then continued to talk over my father-in-law. We finally decided that he did not care, would not listen and paid the outrageous bill. But what is absolutely the most outrageous act performed by the owner was after we paid and left with my car HE CALLED ME FROM HIS PERSONAL CELLPHONE TO MY CELLPHONE and begun to chew me out for disagreeing and having my father-in-law help us out!!! This is the most unprofessional situation I have ever been involved in! I would like to give less than 1 star but that is not an option unfortunately. read more

I can hardly believe how lucky I was that my car broke down right in front of Kwik Kar! I was just passing through town & didn't know a soul, but some sort of karma brought me to Kwik Kar and Amit (the owner) and his very nice & professional staff. They truly treated me like family -- like I truly mattered to them -- and I did because Amit had to go to 3 different places to find the parts for my car. I even rode with him to Temple to pick up one part, and I could just feel I was in good hands. I was right because they fixed everything perfectly and the rate was reasonable with no gouging of a woman who doesn't know cars. I live 200 miles away, but if I needed something major done, I would have no hesitation on returning to Copperas Cove and getting Amit's and Kwik Kar's help. I have had many cars in my life and the typical issues one would take to a garage for repairs, but I've never had such caring & professional & kind group of people concerned about me. You will definitely have a god experience when you go for service. Between Amit & his workers they must have 100+ years of car maintenance knowledge -- they were able to analyze my problem right away, find a solution and implement it on the spot. Knowing what I know about them now, I would have gladly waited all day for them to fix my problem, but the whole thing was done in about 2 1/2 hours.
