I drive a 2025 VW Taos. A male associate asked me to leave my car running with keys left in and go ahead to the waiting area. He then requested assistance from a female associate. The lady explained to me she was not sure since it is a 2025 VW that they would have everything needed but would check. I was looking out the window watching the lady when the young man motioned for me to walk down to the counter. He apologized for not looking at make/model prior to me exiting the vehicle. Then he proceeded to inform me "we never work on VW, I suggest you take it to the dealership or a German made vehicle mechanic because we just never work on VW". I told him I would go somewhere else then. He hollered at the lady associate and said "hey she's leaving". She told both of us she was looking up the VIN number. Been going to this place since they opened. No more! I notice a month after an oil change here that my garage was covered in oil. Took it back up and they said the filter had "a bad seal" and almost all of my oil had drained out. He had the audacity to try and sell me an OIL CHANGE!! If I could give this location no stars or a negative I would lets just start there. My daughter whom is a college student took her car here for an OIL change. Less than 10 days later her engine is cooked because she had no OIL in her car. We have had three different locations look at it and she requires significant repairs. When trying to bring it to their attention it went to the owner to work out this failure on their part and the answer was beyond unacceptable, they did not honor the warranty that is clearly on every receipt they give. Furthermore who gets an oil change and thinks to check their oil afterward? I WILL NEVER TAKE ANOTHER VEHICLE TO THIS LOCATION. They do not stand on their word or honor their warranty. This issue is clearly on them, because we have 3 different mechanics confirming so. Very disappointing as we have been customers since covid and have several drivers at our home alone that have used them. A service was suppose to be rendered and in good faith that the work had been done properly and to turn around and say its on her for driving 500 miles makes it no longer your problem is irreprehensible. Shame on you for trying to take advantage of a young female college student and leaving her in a very bad situation due to your error. Hi! I just wanted to applause this specific Kwik Kar in Mansfield. I went in on 4/7/23 around 2 pm. I originally went in for an inspection, but asked if they'd be able to change my oil as well. I got my inspection done, oil changed, as well as some last minute extra maintenance done. Every worker was welcoming, informative, and helpful, specifically Abigail at the front desk. She was super helpful, helped answer all my questions, and was just overall a super kind employee!! Great job to these guys! read more

I never post bad reviews but gave them 2 weeks to respond, or something, to my email I sent but nothing so here's my review. Been taking my car here for 8 or more years. "Had my oil changed about 6 weeks ago. Noticed an oil leak about 3 days later. Took car up on Xmas eve at 8am to have it looked at. Had about 5 people looking at the car as I was the only one there, was told they saw a tiny leak at the filter. I asked, is it leaking now, and was told NO so I assumed they did something. Came out of the house to leave that same day and a puddle of oil in my garage. Brought it back up about a week later and was again told they don't see anything maybe just overfilled. Just had it looked today, as I needed to gather some money, by a mechanic because I was losing 1/2 a quart of oil a day and guess what, the oil filter was defective. Disappointed that no one at your store bothered to even check that or just change it when I was there since you saw a "tiny leak". Been taking my cars here for years and just amazed that no one wanted to just fix something so minor by changing the filter again to see if that would work. Now it is fixed and now to deal with the oil stains all over my garage and driveway. Could have been solved so easily and cheaply but instead, I feel I was dismissed. Will never get my car serviced at this location again. Lengthy post however I plan to fully voice my concerns and urge anyone who is considering taking their car here for any type of service to go elsewhere. I have been going here since the location opened and always had bad service here ranging from hour and a half wait times to always leaving my interior covered in oily handprints. This most recent visit (for a state inspection and oil change) my car left with almost an extra quart of oil, old oil left in the pan, and charged for a new oil filter that was not replaced. Luckily (or unluckily depending on how you would like to look at it) I was only able to find all of that out because 5 miles after the oil change, I lost a cylinder due to the over filled oil. I immediately called Kwik Kar and was told to drive back to them and they would take a look at it. Everyone there denied that the oil was over the max safety level despite the dipstick showing otherwise (I have several photos and videos if the owner/franchise would like proof of this) and was told that it wasn't their fault and that I needed to come back the next day if I wanted it fixed, as they were about to close. After an entire weekend of arguing with the manager Chase, and especially poor customer service from Alex, my issue was finally resolved. I will never be returning to this location, and I hope anyone who reads this thinks twice before coming here. The one saving grace that I have seen was the older gentleman that works there who does the state inspections (I unfortunately do not know his name) was very kind and even took the time to air up my tires after the inspection. More workers need to be like him, and maybe this location would have less problems. read more

I've been taking my vehicles here for at least 7 years to get inspection, oil changes and lubes. They've always been quick and courteous. Looks as though they have a new crew. Took my Van there for it's 3rd inspection with them and the woman there decided to get funny and say she wasn't going to inspect it because the tint was too dark. This is the tint that came on the van and past inspection with them twice before. After telling her they had past it twice and I bring all my vehicles to be serviced there, she still refused. I guess they don't want my business anymore. I went a mile down the street and they said the tint was legal and gave me my inspection. I guess they will get my business moving forward. Go somewhere else. These lazy asses returned my car to me with all of my undercarriage shield clips missing. I get on hwy 287 and hear a load ass scratching noise. I exit & immediately see the issue when I get out of my car. The clips at the back of my undercarriage shield were replaced with zip ties. There was noting securing the shield at the front. I got ripped off! Every good oil service location I've done business with provides options for the type of oil the customer would like to choose. Not this place. Some fat jerk with an over grown sloppy beard or gotee rushed the vehicle into the bay without asking what type of oil I would like. Been taking my cars there for years, took my mustang (old show car) for current state inspection and they chipped paint on driver door hitting their tool/file cabinet, showed the Mgr who took pictures and refused to provide their insurance info, said the owner would take care of it, went back to show owner and found out he even has a shop video of it. They wanted me to prove they did the damage when its on their video! They drove my car in their shop, it was damaged by them and they refuse responsibility for it. They know they did the damage to my car and they have a shop video of it. Paint est is near $1000 to repaint door & blend in, I must file on my own insurance to get fixed. Asked them for their liability insurance before having anything done, they will refuse responsibility for any damage they do and the owner will not provide insurance info for claims even when he has the shop video of it. They avoid any insurance claims by not providing their liability info when they cause damages. Your liable for any damages they do to your car. read more

I came for a simple oil change as I have done many times at this location. This time they had a new guy in training give me an oil change while I sat in my car. He tells me he needs to run some more tests on my car and that I can wait inside. After waiting inside for 15-20 min they finally help me pay and I come out to my car that had been running the whole time. They neglect to tell me that my car battery died while I was inside (I've never had problems with the battery), and now my radio will not work and window will not roll up (both were working fine before I went inside) and the manager keeps telling me that it was a coincidence and that he cannot help me. I'm utterly disappointed in the service I received and will not return. read more

Staff are great, friendly, helpful, & seem honest. Quick, efficient service at reasonable cost. I wasn't sure if my truck would pass inspection with a broken break light, so one of the guys just looked to make sure in parking lot, then offered replacement for $5.99. All done within 15 minutes at 9am. No diagnostic time or fees. We also go here for routine oil changes for both cars, & so far they seem to check what need to on the oil change list. I sure hope they keep this level of services up bc finding a trustworthy, efficient car shop is not an easy task nowadays. read more

But, they didn't replace my bulb (which I provided) because it was Saturday and would take more time (aka - not as profitable). I guess being able to see at night isn't all that important! Ladies, I think you'll be in trustworthy hands if you choose B&M Auto Specialists - they do car service well. Men, they do good and honest work with integrity. I asked Brian about his business model - and, as a business guy, I like the commitment to ethics and integrity he expressed. I experienced that today. At B&M Auto Specialists - I received great service on a crazy-busy Saturday...and, was in/out in 7min. If I lived in the Mansfield area - I wouldn't start anywhere else as a first option for car service. Kwik is a franchise - but, I tend to support locally-owned, community business.
