Jay showed up as our follow up from the first visit and he was great! He chatted with me about our water heater and to just watch it as it is up there in age. He also mentioned that the water shut off valve should be oiled (WD40), screwed, and unscrewed every 6 months or so to make sure it doesn't get stuck when we need it to work. He came in an updated the plumbing under the sink. We had to get a replacement faucet and update the hot and cold water shut offs as well. He spent some time at our home and was professional, respectable, friendly, and informative. If and when we have another plumbing issue, I'm asking for Jay specifically. read more

I'm taking a star off of my review because they had to come back and install the toilet again after I noticed more leaking through my floor. This service was done through my home warranty company (HWA) and neither of these companies would stand behind the work they did. I had to pay my $100 deductible again to have the same toilet installed... again. HWA said they had to consider it a new claim since more than 30 days had passed, and Kwik Serv said they were bound by their agreement with HWA and couldn't do anything to help. "Kwik" in their name is an indicator of how long before their repair will fail, and the speed at which they want to charge you more money to repair their original repair. Our home warranty provider (HWA) selected this company to repair a shower that was leaking into our basement. Their technician determined that the cause of the leak was the shower drain and pipe, scheduled an appointment to make the repair, and returned to replace these items. In less than two months, this repair failed. MIND YOU, the repair consisted of replacing the drain and the pipe below the shower. I called Kwik Serv and explained the issue to her, and I was told that we would have to file another claim (and pay another deductible) or pay them $95 to "come out and evaluate the problem". So basically, their work is "good" for 30 days, and then you better be prepared to pay the again when it fails. AVOID THEM AT ALL COSTS, not because of a mistake, but because of their response after the mistake! read more

We had received an appointment via our home warranty, for one of our appliances. Based on the home warranty the claim gets sent out for the technician/company to bid on. The appointment was set BY Kwik Serv and provided TO the home warranty company which sent the information to me. It was 3 business days away (5 days with the weekend) which I thought was understandable/reasonable. I went ahead and took a day off work, expecting them to come in on the scheduled day. The day before the scheduled appointment they stated left a voicemail stating I needed to schedule my appointment. The next day I get a phone call saying "We just got the claim today" and were trying to schedule it for ANOTHER 3 days away. They made it sound like they had just been informed of this claim that day. I told them I would to talk to the home warranty company which contacted them. When speaking to the home warranty company they stated they had attempted to call me and confirm the appointment the prior week (a flat out lie, not what I was told, and I had no missed calls or voicemails from the prior week), and because they "didn't confirm" they couldn't come out today. Again completely different from what they told me. Absolutely dishonest company, I am absolutely offended that they think I was that dumb to fall for their transparent lies. I get if you get busy, or people call off, or other things happen. But I appreciate being upfront about it, not some excuse I KNOW is not true. I refused to work with them and I ended up requesting our claim be put back out for bids because I didn't want to work with a dishonest company. Absolutely Horrible Experience - Stay Away from Kwik Serv plumbing and HVAC If I could give zero stars, I would. Kwik Serv completely botched my air conditioner repair. Jeremy came out and had no clue what he was doing. He ended up installing the wrong part--and worse, they threw out the original part that was still under warranty. That's not just incompetent--it's negligent When I called about it, I spoke with a so-called manager who admitted they installed the wrong part and promisedto take care of it. But surprise--he later refused to fix the issue. I had to dispute the charge with my credit card company just to protect myself from paying for their mistake. The "manager" was the most wishy-washy, unprofessional person I've ever dealt with. Frankly, I'm not even convinced he was a real manager. The whole situation was embarrassing and unacceptable. Me to hubby: "hey honey, do you know why the wall looks weird and wavy...like it's wet?" Hubby to me: "Well, I probably just got it wet doing the dishes. It will dry." Turns out, that water on the wall was actually in the wall. And, when my hubby was taking a shower I heard an unidentifiable loud buzzing noise that sounded like something out of War of the Worlds. It scared the crap out of me, and I realized there was a water pipe leak in our wall that was dripping onto our under counter lighting in the kitchen and further down into our electrical box in the basement. Yeahhhhh...not good. We unplugged the light over our sink area and plugged up the outlet and called our home warranty company. Unfortunately we couldn't get anyone to come out for a few days. We knew the leak was coming from the shower valve every time we turned the water on, so we had to take five minute showers (or sink baths). Mind you, we only have one shower for a family of four. Kwik Serv was helpful and got someone out on a Friday instead of making our family wait until Monday. The technician came out with his mask and gloves, and within ten minutes he identified the problem. He replaced the cartridge and went on his way. Our shower works like a champ with no more leaks! I'm sorry the name of the technician left my brain, but he was so friendly. Now all that remains is a smelly wall that needs to be replaced and a ceiling that also received some damage. This company is called Kwik Serv because they charge you for doing nothing. It's quick. The plumber who came to my house refused to accept there was water leakage even though there was clear ceiling damage. He turned on the tap for 20 seconds and didn't think there was any leakage and refused to put in a fix. Visible damage didn't matter to him. He wanted the ceiling to be more damaged and water dripping on the floor - which is exactly what I was trying to avoid. Please save yourself time and money by not using this service for any of your housing needs. read more

I had to use this plumber because they were assigned the job through my home warranty I had thrown in with the purchase of the house. Within the first year we needed a new water heater. Kwik Serv sends an apprentice to do his firs solo job. It took all day and I ended up cleaning up the mess. Not even a year later the pilot won't stay lit on the Wednesday night before Thanksgiving. We call Friday morning and they get all my information and tell me they'll have a service technician out that same day between noon and 4:00pm. "Great! We'll have hot water today." The technician shows up and I show him the unit. He says he's just there to take pictures and make sure it's still under warranty. "What?! You're not here to fix it?! We've WaiTed all day for you to come! Your company installed it! " "Nope I'm just a trainee sent to take pictures and make sure it's broken. It is. We can maybe come back on Monday." Similar to other reviews, I was assigned to this company through American Home Shield. It was easy to set up an appointment in March of 2023 and the plumber (Bruce Weil) arrived on time, but he did not perform any services the day he arrived. He did an evaluation said I needed a new cartridge and new hardware in my shower and that I'd need to make another appointment for him to do this. This is a second home that I only spend the summers in. So, I made a note to call for a follow-up appointment when I returned in May. When I called, I was told that the "ticket is closed" and that I'd need to file another claim through American Home Shield for them to return to actually do the job since it had been more than 30 days since my March appointment with Bruce. Doing this, would charge me another fee with American Home Shield. And, this was never communicated to me. Bruce clearly said that he'd come back and finish the job when I arrived for the summer. The time spent between Kwik Serve and American Home Shield is such a waste. Save yourself the hassle and pain, and call Little Tommy's instead, even if you have to pay a little more. Awesome awesome awesome! It's so great to have a plumber you can actually TRUST. I met Mary Helen of Kwik Serv through a networking group. I had them come out to repair a broken pipe originally. You know your spigot outside for the hose? Well when I turned it on, the water came out on the inside! Luckily, I noticed in time so the basement wasn't TOO bad. But wet is wet. They came out and took a look at everything. They were obviously able to repair the pipe. What was so great was the price, and lack of up-selling. The tech came out, identified the problem, provided a common-sense solution that was economically feasible, and was POLITE. Hard to find those nowadays. I was so happy that we had them replace our water heater that was coming of age. That went great as well! I'm just happy to be able to have someone I can call for plumbing issues without getting jerked around. Don't hesitate to call, I have them saved in my phone. read more

They were assigned to me by my home warranty company. Both techs that came to the house were great-that warrants five stars. But a $350 access fee to remove less than a foot of particle board paneling and one shelf is outrageous and the tech did a shit job cleaning up-warrants one star. If they would have better communicated where they needed access, I'd have removed the materials myself. If I had my choice of contractors based on that outlandish fee, I'd have said no way. Warning to seniors - charged my parents $880 to replace 2 shower valves that can be purchased at the hardware store for $25 each. Given there is no details on their invoice, when I called to question what service was actually provided I was informed it was a "flat rate" for the valve replacement so if this is the case they have a 20x mark up for a service that took less than 45 min to complete. Our basement sump pump has been running non-stop for a few days so I called our home insurance company and they assigned the work order to Kwik Serv Plumbing. The technician showed up and after reviewing the problem he confirmed we do have a problem with our sump pump, but because the order stated the problem was with an "ejector pump", they could not do anything. The technician left without solving the issue, so I called the office and they said they could do nothing for me and that it was my responsibility to deal with the "wrong" order placed with the home insurance company. Every time we ran our washing machine, it would cause flooding in our basement. I called American Home Shield warranty company and they assigned Kwik Serv. I called and spoke with Gina who was very professional and friendly and made an appointment for later in the week with an 8am-12pm window. I received a text message the day of the appointment with a photo of the technician and his name saying he was on his way. He arrived just after 8am and within minutes diagnosed the problem as an inoperable sump pump. Joshua was professional and friendly and didn't even mind when my dog jumped on him. They both worked hard to get someone out to my home to fix my hot water heater at a time that worked for me. It is electric and many plumbers don't want to work on them. This company came out twice for a water leak. The person who made the appointment did not instruct me to turn off the water valve as other companies did. They also insisted that I needed a new toilet even though I had a new system put into the tank. The first time they installed a new flush valve. I even was nice enough to pay for this flush valve even though I didn't have to. When I flushed the toilet after they left, the water didn't fill the tank until I tapped on the fill valve. The second time they adjusted the chain to the flapper. Again, the toilet only fills when I tap on the valve with my finger. The third time gets messy. I scheduled an appointment and the plumber was sick, understandable but no one called since I was not even on the schedule. When I scheduled another appointment for the following day, I received no notification that they weren't coming out since they had my wrong phone number on file. No one bothered to do an online search for my right phone number. When I called to confirm they told me to get a second opinion since they feel that I have a faulty toilet. They told me to call when I want a new toilet installed. I called the pros and we'll see what they recommend My perspective is that Kwik Serv is unprofessional since they did not honor an appointment that they made, whether or not the scheduler was new. I would not give this organization my money again. I waited around two afternoons for them since they made a mistake entering my phone number. UPDATE: Black Diamond came out today and said that the Fluid Master valve was stuck. I gave him some WD-40 and it worked like a charm. He didn't even charge me for the visit. I did receive a quote for a new Fluid Master and a new toilet for when that time comes. I'll use Black Diamond's service from now on. Scam run for cover. Before the holidays we realized that our Water Heater needed replacing and our home warranty company sent Kwik Serv. No one showed up at the arranged time so I called and got the owner Jerry who said he was on his way. He came out looked at the Water Heater and explained that I would get a quote after the holidays. The holidays came and went and did not hear from Jerry so I called looking for my quote and was told that Jerry could not get a blower for the NEW Water Heater and once they had the part they would call. Wow, do they think people are stupid? No phone call, no quote and this is January 23, 2018. Called a reputable company who came out the same day and provided a quote on the spot. Murphy's law in action- the sewage ejector broke Sunday morning of the Thanksgiving holiday when we had all-day plans and were supposed to drive out of town that night. My home warranty company had to call 3 different companies to find availability but I'm glad they finally called Kwik Serv as they were able to come right out. John R was quick, thoroughly explained everything he was doing and gave me a few tips on how to better maintain my system. Leaking still happens after so long time.....I stop using the upstairs bathroom and keep changing paper towels to absorb the water....It took weeks for get the broken parts replaced (it's not installed well; it's loose and I suspect it may still cause leaking). While leaking continues, it took so many calls to secure another appointment and wait all day at home for technician showing up. No one showed up for the first appointment ! They visited yesterday finally and said it's caulking issue. I stop using upstairs bathroom but leaking doesn't stop....I have to call home warranty company and try to get another plumbing service who at least can run the good and comprehensive diagnosis... testing and fixing the issues. Yes they fixed the leak. I did most of the work for them. They charged me 250.00 to do 15 minutes of work to cap the pipe. I am sure they doubled charged me and my home warranty company.
