I could not be any happier with the service I received from Michael. He was extremely helpful over the phone and even more so in person. I had gotten a $250 quote from my car dealership and a $220 quote from another locksmith just to cut the metal part of my Honda CR-V key. They mentioned reprogramming, laser cutting of keys, etc. Over the phone, Michael quoted me at $50 per key. I was ecstatic! However, when I got there, he realized that I had the Black shell to the key and then quoted me at $30 per key. His honesty with pricing was extremely refreshing. What a lifesaver! I called him after locking my keys in the trunk after grocery shopping, the bad thing is my trunk won't open without a key in the ignition or remote. He reviewed with me ahead of time what the price options would be (unlocking car, making a new key, creating a remote code). He arrived quickly and had a key made and my trunk opened before my groceries spoiled in the hot California temps. I brought my car here to have my new keyfob cut and programmed. I was told that the charge would be $12 for the keys to be cut, and $50 for them to be programmed and paired so that the car would start and that the lock/unlock buttons would work. Beforehand, we discussed that if programming did not work, that I would not owe the $50. The keys were cut, I paid $12, but programming only half-worked for one of the keys. One new key would start the car but lock/unlock did not work. The other key did not work at all. He said that since "he had still done his job of programming the key" that I would still have to pay the full amount. When I declined since the keys didn't even fully work, he tried to haggle with the price, threatening to keep my keys until I paid. I almost had to call the police, and the ordeal ended when I threatened legal action. Beware of this locksmith! read more

I was in the area and needed a local Locksmith location. And this is one of the few places in the the area with an actual physical location, which in these times are hard to find. A lot of them get nickle and dime down out of existence. This place is a place I would recommend. They had the blank key in stock that I was getting copied. So I decided to get two...cost $16. (not your average key) Due to my business I saw about half of my Southern California locksmith stores closed down. Here's a tip that most don't consider...use a local person, because their travel expense and time will make it difficult. Mobile have a lower ticket price but their warranty is as reliable as their location...none. We spoke and the owner agrees with that and I was able to figure out his range, time frames, and price. These are a few things you need to know and ask when dealing with home repair related services. The owner was pleasant and nice and charges a fair price for his area. I found this company from seeing him on my street and asking for his number. He is a Lake Forest business and that's the city I live in. So I call him two days later at work in Aliso Viejo. I needed a new key for a filing cabinet. The guy asks if I'm at work and I tell him yes. He says he can be here before 3pm. Great! When he gets here and looks at the lock I ask him how much it will be. He says $25. Great, no problem! He goes to his vehicle to make the key, comes back and presents me with a bill for $94 dollars! There is a $69 service fee. I said what would it have been if I brought it to your shop? He says $25. I tell him that he should have told me that! Knowing that I live in Lake Forest! He said, "you never asked me." That is the most ridiculous comment ever. I do not recommend this company. Businesses are supposed to tell you of any other fees before they do the work to see if your willing to pay it. I would not have. I would have brought the lock there myself. It only takes four screw to remove it. I had a screwdriver there from taking it off the last time. Unfortunately, I work in a professional building with offices across the hall and next door and could not get into an argument with this guy. I paid him and he went on his way. Bastard. read more

I called this place to see if I could have a key made for a thule cargo box. The guy said yes, and to just bring the code on the lock. I brought it in, and then he told me that he had the key, but couldn't make it because something was missing in his key cutting info. Then he said bring in the locks, and he could make a mold, and a key. Well, they were attached to my huge cargo box. So I bring in the big cargo box and he still can't make the key. He said both locks had something stuck in them, so he couldnt work them out with his tools. he ended up drilling out one of the tumblers, and worked for about 25 minutes trying to pull them out. In the end he got the locks out and i put the new ones in myself. I felt that I could have drilled them out myself so I hated it when he asked me for $30 for the services. It just seems a little bit steep, considering that I helped him work on those locks. Also, he was constantly answering the phone and having long conversations, making me wait. That was a little irritating. I'd go there again, if I just needed a key made that was easy. read more

I had the BEST service and experience EVER with this locksmith! As a Realtor we use locksmiths all the time for various needs for our clients! I had a dilemma a last night as I was showing a multi~million dollar home in Ladera Ranch. It was a little late and this home was the last one our list as we previewed homes form Yorba Linda all the way over here in South County. We finished viewing this home at around 9:15 pm. The front door lock would not budge. I tried and tried, my client helped and tried and tried to lock the door. We could not get it to budge with the key or with the inside lock. I tried one last time and broke key in half. Half of the key was in the lock and half in my hand! My awesome broker was also on the computer from his home office sending me numbers for locksmiths!! I am trying make a LONG story short so sorry..LOL I finally got a hold of a locksmith...he was not available but he recommended another locksmith's #. So I called William over at Kwikeys that the 1st locksmith gave me. He answered the phone promptly, even though it was about 10 p.m. or so. I heard music in the background as he greeted me on the phone. He said he could be at my location in 30 minutes. He was a God send! He took apart the lock....fixed it...took out the key half that I broke......put the lock back together and adjusted it so it functioned properly and cut a brand new key to replace the one I broke! What a relief. My duty as a Realtor I could not leave the house unlocked, even though security said they would do an extra patrol. Then we finally got ahold of the listing agent and then the homeowner had to give the guardsman permission to let the locksmith in! So many moving parts! My client was so sweet and stayed with me the entire time...even though I urged her to drive home since it was late & she had over an hours drive back to Corona. Called Kwikeys for an emergency lock issue on our main front doors at 7 pm and William came to the rescue!! He is very helpful during the process of fixing our lock and he also explained what was wrong with it and why it happened. It took about an hour for him to fully fix it. I like how he wasn't really rushing eventhough it was already dark and you can barely see the lock and mechanism since it was our main door.
