The place I used last year - no longer does it, the place I used the year before - no longer does it. I had to search & make a few phone calls before I found a place. Quick and efficient, the state does not seem to pay facilities to do these emissions testing enough for them to continue from year to year. It pretty much brings folks to establishments, which in turn, brings awareness of the business. My vehicle is not that old, still under warranty. I would love to support this shop, once I don't have warranty coverage. Next time I need emissions they probably won't be doing it. Our state needs to support the effort better.

I've been here only a few times. Had one fuel injector replaced , O2 sensor diagnosed and replaced and burned out catalytic converter replaced. I've also come here for emissions testing. Always prompt, explaining things and once they had issues getting the catalytic in and called to let me know when to expect it. Always friendly and courteous. The shop is always clean and organized and the waiting area clean. I'm the type that will do a lot of my own services on my cars but some things I just don't want to do and it's nice to have a place like this that you can trust.

It is unclear after taking my vehicle to the dealership whether or not I was lied to because I am female, possibly even because I am African-American or whether or not these individuals need to be retrained on how to do their job. I was told that one of my tires has a 3/32 tread and that it needs to be changed immediately, causing them to refuse to do the tire rotation the entire reason I chose this location. The dealership mentioned that all of my tires are in fact 6/32 and they measured them multiple times. so was I lied to ? Because they simply didn't feel like doing the work, it's unclear. I was then told that I had an oil leak. In fact I do not have an oil leak. Someone messy poured oil into in area, causing it to slowly drip down in several places underneath the vehicle. I've lost an entire Friday thinking that I needed two new tires and to repair an engine leak. I was essentially overcharged and lied to and was not given a tire rotation as requested then told I needed additional work done on my vehicle when in fact, I did not. I wish there was a way to give this place zero stars. It's been a headache for no reason. I can't tell if these men are simply misogynistic and predators or if they're idiots. Additionally, I sent an email requesting possibly an alignment to see if perhaps that's why the tread on my tires has gone down so quickly. I was ignored. I suppose Customer Service is only for white people and men at this location. Please avoid this location if you do not fit these parameters.

The rental company wanted to charge me for a tow and a full tire replacement, talk about stressful! It was a Saturday and most shops were either closed or too far away. I found Rick's Car Care on Yelp and saw they were listed as open until noon. When I arrived, there was a sign on the door saying they were actually closed on Saturdays. I decided to knock anyway, and I'm so glad I did! To my surprise, a gentleman named Jimmi answered the door. After I explained the situation, he graciously offered to take a look at my tire, despite being closed for the day. He quickly assessed the damage and was able to fix it with a simple plug. Not only did Jimmi go out of his way to help me, but he also treated me fairly and didn't try to overcharge me just because I was from out of town. The whole repair was fast, VERY affordable, and I was back on the road in under 10 minutes. Jimmi was an absolute lifesaver! His kindness and willingness to help a stranger truly made my day. I live NEXT DOOR to their business so I wanted to support my local business. I explained my battery light kept flashing on and off and did they have time to visibly look at it (thinking maybe the connections may be bad). I was willing to wait if indeed the battery was the problem for a repair. It couldn't have taken more than 5 min to just look. The woman on the phone didn't ask any further questions, just dismissed me and said we don't have any openings today. Horrible customer service. Uncaring, inflexible and rude. Definitely no "going above and beyond" or "fitting me in". I'm an older single woman with grandchildren to drive around. So disappointed.

When confronted again about not wearing a mask when in an enclosed space in OUR personal car, the response was "I don't need to do anything I don't want to; the virus isn't airborne anyways." Obviously, that is factually incorrect, but I don't believe the owner cares. IF this business wants to conduct themselves in this manner, they should announce publicly "we don't respect you and will not wear masks". They are endangering the health, safety, wellbeing, and lives of others with these reckless actions - had we known this was their policy,, we would have taken our business elsewhere. Those that agree with the owners principles could still frequent the business, but those of us that believe the science should not be subjected to their ignorance. The state should also NOT be driving business (as an "approved" vehicle emissions inspection facility) to a facility that is FLOUTING the state's own mask mandate.
