The musubis were packaged well and honestly were reminiscent of the musubi cafes you'd find in Hawaii, which is exactly what we were searching for. They only do takeout for now and Leonard the owner brings out the orders to your car himself. He was super friendly and welcoming, and I got a chance to hear about his vision for Musubi Libre and I am even more of a fan because of it. This isn't an online ordering anytime service - she has curated menus every week which she can tailor to, or even prepare for, your family! She starts with a consultation to understand your needs and present her philosophy. Then you place your order Monday, and it appears on your doorstep the following Sunday. On top of the convenience (the food appears clearly labeled and conveniently packaged up in compostable containers) what I love is that it's gourmet, freshly prepared, local, seasonal, and often organic food! It's what I want to put in my and my kids bodies so I feel my best, but I don't have any time to cook it myself. It really satisfies my need for variety, without having to spend tons on takeout every week. Some highlights include her Tajin Steak tacos with Mango Salsa, her Moroccan Lemon Chicken with rice pilaf, and she has an excellent kampachi fish on her build-your-own menu that I haven't had anywhere else.
