    Maki special

Solid sushi spot at a great price. Ordered the Maki Combo, a specialty roll, and the gyoza appetizer. Food came out fast and fresh. Service was good and polite. Will be eating here again!

This is my favorite local sushi spot and my go-to if I have nothing I'm craving around Greenpoint. Have never gotten a bad roll, the rice is always great, hand rolls are full of fish, and the price is unbeatable. For what it is, it does it perfectly. Have actually never eaten in the restaurant even though I've gotten takeout probably 25 times, but staff is friendly and have never had issues with wait times!

Don't remember which roll this is but it was good

*QUARANTINE PICKUP* Was really in the mood for sushi and was out in Williamsburg. This little gem was one of the few places that was open for takeout at 5pm back on May 12, 2020 Fried tempura was so good. Perfectly fried with that tempura soy sauce? I think that's what it is. Whatever it is I love it! Edamame is my favorite - can't go wrong with it. Narruto rolls are a thing for me since I cannot digest the sticky rice. Spicy crab and spicy salmon narruto rolls hit the spot. Not exactly sure what the other rolls are but I do know they had eel over the roll with eel sauce- I believe there was fried tempura shrimp inside as well One soft shell crab roll which was really good as well. You get a free California roll with this purchase as well

The fish here is awesome whether in the roles or as nigiri. Thinly sliced, but not too thin, no stringiness, just delicate. Fresh. The tuna and salmon in particular were delightful. The yellowtail not as much. Rice is so-so. Doesn't have a lot of flavor and was somehow too firm and too mushy all at once. Seaweed wrapping was more tough than need be. Rolls weren't as tight or precise as in some A-one sushi establishments. Good miso. Strong wasabi. Weak tea. Udon was ok, not stellar. The waitress is indeed short with customers but still very kind. She will say nice things to you if you listen (she's quiet). I liked her a lot (but can see how some might not). And yup, inside smells fishy but my vegetarian friend didn't mind it and we both adjusted within 10 minutes. For a Japanese restaurant in the land of Polish, it was definitely better than I expected.

Service was great as well as the food! The sushi was very fresh and delicious. We tried 4 of their special rolls, don't recall the names but included crunchy shrimp/tuna and avocado in each. Service was attentive and quick

It was a cozy, quaint atmosphere and the perfect day for some ramen. My good friend and I went on…read morea rainy Saturday late afternoon. It was just what we needed that day. He ordered the Honey roasted duck ramen and I ordered the spicy salmon miso ramen. Before our ramen came out, we ordered our drinks which were a Thai Iced Tea (can't go wrong with that) and he ordered the Lychee Iced Tea. For apps we had the Veggie Spring Rolls and the Edamame which were so crunchy with just the right touch of salt. We may have visited on a slower day since it was raining, but I can tell that it is a popular eatery and can get busy and packed. We lucked out and were seated immediately and didn't wait long for our food. The server kept refilling our water glasses which was much appreciated. I thought my cup was half full and i'd look up and all of a sudden theres even more water poured. Overall it was a cute restaurant and would be perfect for a lunch. Although we had ramen, they have an extensive menu. Check them out!

Fukurou is delicious. I'm usually not a fan of ramen, but this shop knows how to get it done. The…read morePork Shoyu Ramen was absolutely delectable. The fatty pork belly pairs excellently with the shoyu brother. The vegetable toppings give a light, refreshing contrast to the oily pork belly. Overall, loved this spot! TLDR: 5/5! For excellent service and great food. We came in last minute with a group of 8 and they…read morestill accommodated us and served us to their best abilities despite only 1 person on the floor to wait and serve. Also one of the BEST broths I have had in New York. It is comparable to some in Japan with how good that beef broth is. The chicken broth is excellent as well and worked since my friend has a dietary restriction. Sadly could not try the karaage since they sold out! Get it if you can. Food (5/5): probably some of the best ramen you can get in Brooklyn! You take a sip and it has so much rich flavor you can tell they took a long time to cook it. Just the right amount of salt that leads to explosive umami flavor with everything else included. Only downside is that the egg is an additional 2-3 dollars boosting the ramen price to 20 per bowl. Other than that, it's a great bowl of ramen I will be going again. I heard the steak was good from my friends but we got the okanomiyaki, it's pretty big, delicious, but only get it if you are a large fan of them. It's pretty pricey for what it is. Cucumber salad was delicious and fresh, nice hit of spiciness. Service (4.5/5): The person helping us is super nice, though there is a language barrier and that might cause some misunderstandings. I only brought it down half a point because you aren't going to get that understanding but they are very nice and try their best. Nothing wrong but it does get busy and you might have to call them for refills or other issues. The chefs are also very friendly. Cleanliness and interior (5/5): you can tell it's rather small, but modern and chic. Great for a night out to eat as they are open late. Great casual dinner spot and has a fantastic Lofi jazzy playlist that adds to it. Combined with the unforgettable beef broth, and you have a night to remember. J's Parking Advice- it's pretty packed at night because there is a lot to do around. Parking garages are a little far off too but everything is walkable once you find a spot. There is a street parking but it's hard to find, you might have to park far and walk there or public transport. We did take around 10-20 mins to find parking. So good luck! Overall: it's a spot I have to go back to especially since they sold out of the karaage! If that doesn't tell you how good it is not sure what else! Definitely a local favorite and a hidden gem
