Decent price and the service was good, but the food was okay. Maybe it was an off day, but the spring rolls we received were cold in the middle. The staff immediately corrected it and got us a new order of spring rolls. I would try again because everything else was pretty good.

Spicy Seafood Miso Ramen - delicious, but ask for less heat if you don't like very spicy food.

We have just arrived in NYC for a quick weekend visit. We were taken to Fukurou Brooklyn for an early meal because we were starving after our flight and lengthy drive from the LaGuardia airport. Since we arrived before the dinner rush, we had no wait for a table. The ambience was nice with lighting at the right level of view the menu, but provides a nice mood for conversation. While water arrived quickly, the server forgot to bring menus. We finally asked and menus were brought quickly. For a starter, we ordered the pork buns. These came in an order of 2 buns, and they were exceptional! A lot of nice flavor that melded together perfectly. For the mains, we ordered the spicy seafood ramen and the ramen with various types of mushrooms. Both were very good. The server should have asked if we wanted to adjust the spicy heat for the seafood ramen because it was meaty too spicy. I will definitely request less heat when I visit again. For the mushroom ramen, the broth lacked flavor, but the texture of the mushrooms was wonderful. We ended the meal with two slices of chocolate mousse cake which was excellent. The mousse was firm, smooth and full of flavor with chocolate shavings on top. The base was a deep chocolate cake that was moist and substantial enough to complement the mousse perfectly. They have BYOB on alcoholic beverages, so we took wine with us. When our server saw we had wine, he immediately brought a corkscrew and asked how many wine glasses we needed. While my overall rating is a 4 out of 5, it is because the rating system doesn't allow 4.5. My rating is less than 5 for service - slow with menus and no questions concerning our desire level of heat.

The food was delicious and filling ! The staff were very attentive and hospitable! Our favorite from the night was definitely the spicy salmon miso broth :-)! Definitely recommend!

I decided to check them out on my way home from work It was so refreshing to have made it right before the lunch special ended I got spicy fried chicken white rice salad as a side It comes with barley drink It is a nice calm atmosphere as well super clean The massive amount of plants are also a great design addition. I also really like the flatware and bowls cups and plates. Also I liked being able to pay my bill just by scanning a QR code on the receipt I must come back to try the cocktails and ramen I know ramen is the main draw here

There's no wait on a Friday night dinner which is always a good thing. They are very attentative as soon as I walked in, they came from the back to welcome us and allowed us to sit anywhere. This place is BYOB. The ambiance is great with the real greenery but it's a bit too dark. Perhaps a bit better lighting. Tayoyaki - these are big compared to other ramen joints and there are more squid pieces inside. It was soft and creamy on the inside. Cha siu bun - pieces of cha siu was grilled perfectly and it was the size of the bun. it's a perfect ratio of meat to bun, for once!! Spicy tonkatsu ramen- the broth was amazingly good. I csn taste the pork flavor on top of the spiciness. It is rich and thick. They give two big and long pieces of pork!! Spicy pork miso - the miso flavor came out from the broth alot. They def didn't skimp out on each bowl. This bowl was originally chicken but they allowed us to substitute for pork. We got the big pieces of pork as well.

Despite living around the corner for nearly two years, I had never heard of Fukurou before! After a long trip back from Texas, I needed a good meal for lunch. Luckily, I found Fukurou. FYI - it is much cheaper to call ahead or order in person than it is to order online. I was craving a spicy soup so I was relieved to see their spicy tonkotsu option. I have a fine spice tolerance but it definitely isn't great. In my first bite I was scared about how I would finish the dish but it was actually the perfect amount of spice to meet my (low) maximum. The dish also came with a salad to go. When ordering to go, they give you your toppings and soup separately so I just added everything together when I got home. I think it was perfect! Really tasty food, though I wish there was a wee bit more pork. Overall, a great spot with a beautiful interior. The staff was amazing as well. I can definitely seeing this being a good date spot!

What a really pretty place. Very fancy. Loved the bathrooms. Service could've been better. Maybe they weren't expecting it to be such a busy evening because they were were only 2 people working the floor. The food was delicious. We started off with the pork gyozas and chicken something... I totally forgot. It was fried chicken thighs served with a spicy Mayo. And then we had the Ramen. I had the pork ramen and my friend had the salmon ramen. Bowls were deep and filling. So yummy! Nice and quiet vibes. Beautifully lit space. They are even getting ready for Halloween and have small little pumpkins on every table. Super cute.

Brand new place, I got the spicy tonkotsu Decent bowl of ramen. The broth was extremely creamy and had a good amount of spice to it. I definitely found it spicy. It came with a small dish of clear stock in order to dilute the broth to my liking. I used a little bit just to dilute the spiciness. The noodles are curly and they're totally saturated with soup while still retaining a little bit of chewy texture. The pork is fantastic, my favorite part of the bowl. It's extremely tender and well seasoned. This place has a bunch of stuff on the menu so obvious you can't expect them to put as much time and effort into their ramen as a small specialty shop can. Exceeded my expectations. I'm very glad it's in the area and I will certainly be back to try the other ramens

A second visit is a must because their menu offers a great selection of appetizers, ramen, and rice bowls. We ordered the two rice bowls and one order of cha-shu baos. Not only is the serving size big enough to share, they're flavorful, filling, and inexpensive-- rare gem in New York. Their drink selection offers Asian flavored sodas, iced coffees, and teas that pair nicely with the meals. Overall, a great Japanese restaurant with comfort meals that won't hurt your wallet.

Roast Honey Duck Ramen is good
    Peter P.

The duck ramen was pretty solid but the real star here is the spectacular spicy tonkatsu ramen with rich, deep flavors; we liked it so much that we came back the next day for more! The melon cream soda is also a nice contrasting refresher, especially on a hot day.

    Sarah R.

Their spicy tonkotsu was amazing!! Probably one of the best in the area that I've had. We also tried a bunch of appetizers and the takoyaki was delicious. Only thing is, most of them (karaage, calamari, and the fries) came with the same sauce. It wasn't boring per se, but I feel like they could've served different types of sauces rather than the same spicy mayo. Also, the Top 40 playlist blasting out of the speakers was a bit of a vibe killer. I don't know if that overly loud music was necessary. But, solid place! Might make their ramen a winter staple.

Got seated at the bar after lining up ~15min before opening on a Friday morning. Smoked dashi ramen was AMAZING. The broth had so much seafoody depth, which makes sense considering we found many clams in our bowl as well! It was a bit lighter than a tonkatsu broth, but a bit heavier than a shoyu-base. The noodles were the perfect bouncy texture as well. Yuzu highball: A great refreshing complement to the heavier soup broth. Great vibes all around.

We tried the smoked dashi ramen and spicy tan tan ramen. Both were great. I enjoyed the subtle smokiness of the dashi broth and thought it paired well with the clams. It definitely felt more unique compared to a traditional ramen. The spicy tan tan ramen had a much bolder and classic flavor profile. The pork was tender but not fatty. We also shared the matcha kakigori, which I may have enjoyed even more than the ramen because the matcha flavor was so strong! There is also a red bean filling in the middle. They also offer a selection of signature cocktails. We tried the yuzu margarita, which was refreshing, and the Japanese cocktail, which I liked for the fresh celery and elderflower flavors. Overall, a great spot that is worth checking out. I highly recommend making a reservation in advance if you want to avoid the long wait.

For a restaurant, especially one serving customizable ramen dishes, with a allergy list post on the wall by the counter where I sat at B1, a little flexibility or empathy toward food allergies would go a long way. The interaction felt dismissive and unwelcoming, which made the overall dining experience uncomfortable. Customer service matters just as much as the food, and sadly this visit fell short. The smashed cucumber was good. Spicy dumpling was good. Ramen broth was light, not as rich or flavorful as others. There are so many good ramen places in NYC, this Chinese Ramen place has lot of room to improve.
