Although we've been several times, before (with a similar experience), today, I want to submit a review to thank the management and all staff for the delightful experience provided this morning! How wonderful to meet the owner--and great to see people back, enjoying food & fellowship, especially after the past 2 years. We recognize what businesses have endured and we are grateful for the hospitality---here! Customers: choose 'here!' Your day will be more blessed because of it--and if able, maybe work here?' My father and I went there for supper. We were seated immediately our beverage order was also taken. The waiter came over within a minute or two with our Beverages and took her food order. We both ordered the double English fish and chip dinner. Came with two beautiful large pieces of fish and chips English Style and a full plate of fresh cut french fries and coleslaw and lemon and tartar sauce. Both the fish and french fries the portion is large the coleslaw absolutely fantastic a vinaigrette and oil done coleslaw and done to perfection. The restaurant is super clean very relaxing the Ambiance is fantastic service and the food outstanding five-star the board highly recommended by myself. I look forward to going back again and trying some Greek dishes as well as old favourites such as hot turkey hot hamburger with double patties hot beef. read more

We took the family out for some Greek cuisine, as a change of pace, so we thought we would try Kypreos, as I heard they had saganaki. Big disappointment! The menu said they used kefalotyri, or sheep's milk feta cheese, but when it came to the table, it was very blah, and stringy. I know my cheese, they cheaped out and used mozzarella cheese, which is about 1/4 the price, no tart taste to it, very plain, basically pizza cheese! I asked the server if it was mozzarella, she said she would ask the cook. She came back and said they use "saganaki cheese"! There is NO SUCH thing! Definitely mozzarella cheese. I would have respected them more if they were honest and just said they either ran out or said they now use mozzarella! But for $10.99 plus $2.95 for a quarter piece of pita bread, this was a complete rip-off. The menu description should be modified to say mozzarella, as not to mislead. Also, it does not come out flaming as the menu says, and who knows if they actually flame it with brandy as it says? A lie can run deep. The rest of the meal was ok, but when you go to a destination specifically for certain craving and get let down and lied to, there are other places much more authentic. Do your research. If you want real saganaki, there are two or three better choices in gown. Too bad the old Athenian restaurant downtown Kitchener is not around any more! read more

The breakfast here is pretty much what you'd expect from looking at the menu: typical, uninventive breakfast food with large portions and cheap prices. I was happy to see halloumi cheese on the menu, so I ordered the village breakfast that came with eggs, halloumi, sausage, olives and toast. Well, the olives were a joke because there were only 2 on my plate even though olives were listed in the description of the dish. Also I could have done without the sausage. The service here was great though and very helpful at dealing with my allergies! read more

Service is great. Food is delicious. Breakfast is well-made diner food. Peameal bacon is excellent and never dry. Other food is good too. Quality fresh ingredients. Good value. I've been multiple times and am going back this morning to meet friends there. Would not hesitate to recommend this place. read more

I was told all the souvlaki dishes are gluten free if you pick mashed potatoes as the side. I got the chicken souvlaki and the portion was huge, couldn't finish. Rice was a little overcooked but the chicken was extremely juicy. Not overly busy, nice atmosphere and clean bathrooms. Our server was great. Definitely will return. read more

I cannot speak for their lunch and dinner service, but I will vouch for the excellent breakfast options. This is a Greek restaurant so there are some wonderful options that you won't see elsewhere, Greek style sausage, olives and feta often join omelettes and other more traditional breakfast fare. Breakfasts are big but not absurdly overlarge and include; bacon & eggs, waffles, eggs Benedict and meat lover options. Vegetarian friendly too. Never found a errant bacon shard in the taters, whew! My daughter got food poisoning there from fish. What a terrible night she had. Called the restaurant and they denied it ... said more people would have been ill because they served 25 portions. Then found out they were cited for improper food handling that same week. If they had taken responsibility or expressed any concern, I would have forgiven this but NEVER AGAIN!!!!! read more

I've been here twice and was disappointed both times. My Mexican-Canadian wife's step dad is Greek and she tells me that there is hardly any authentic Greek food on this menu. She really wanted a moussaka. All they had was a Greek salad and grilled halumi, and the rest was pretty typical North American fare. read more

Chelsea, are you high? What are you expecting from a low cost breakfast place? Gold flakes on your meal? as per your olives, the service is great here, so if you could just try this crazy thing called asking for more I'm sure they would have gave you as many olives as you wanted. For what you're paying there is no better breakfast than Kypreos in KW. read more

Been eating here for years....they have renovated making it look nice. Menu is typical Greek/homestyle diner fair...but usually pretty good and decent prices. I don't recommend breakfast there as we have been dissappointed. Lunches are good. read more

I was there regular customer mostly for breakfasts, few times for lunch & dinner.Twice after having lunch there my stomach was upset and I felt some smelly old vegies when I was eating. i should stop eating it but i didn't.Last time I was there for lunch I ordered baby liver with vegies and mash potatoes, when I was served with that plate first I try mash potatoes and it was gross taste ( old poatatoes souer , old, old old ) plus there was sezoning add to kill the old potaoes taste. GROSS :( I call server, told her to replace mash potatoes and when I was complaine she lough and say Sorry with big smile on her face, the smile got in to me and I said it is not funny. So she left with the plate and come back, in mean time there was owner by the bar, I told him that I am here regular customer and this food is not fresh, he was sorry also and after few words he comment that may look for another restaurant to dine. Next thing I was ready ( finally ) eat my lunch and when focus on my food I found hair in my plate :( My lunch was over standing up pay at the bar $20 and I left the place.
