When shopping in the area this has become our go to stop. Drinks we love the Thai iced tea & usually stick with this, so good. Aside from the ramen we have tried Crispy fried chicken burger, very good great taste to the chicken, the Teriyaki rice burger is good the meat has great flavor got it with the Purple sweet potato fries, they are delicious. The Ika Geso karage & Deep fried Gyoza dumplings are good, very fried which is not great but they are tasty. They have added wings to the Menu gave them a try so tasty, good sauce a nice sweet chili. On the desert the Matcha crepe cake is so good, light in taste & not very sweet. Ramen we tend to stick w Tokyo Tonkotsu & Sapporo miso, very good & usually hits the spot nicely. I decided to up the stars since service is quick, laid back vibe, decent prices & so far never had a bad meal here it's worth the try, we will continue to visit from time to time. read more

Went with my family! This is their go to ramen in the area. The inside decor is so cute. They usually order ramen and I usually get omurice. Service is okay. I ordered hot tea but at first they gave me room temp tea, however, after we let them know, they replaced my tea! The food is good here, I like the variety in their menu! Their servings are big. My family ordered Thai iced teas with their food, and then we had desserts that were part of our combos! Cherry blossom jelly and matcha pudding. This is my first time visiting the Flushing branch and it is quite small and narrow, though you can pretty much dine in private which takes you away to enjoy your company and good soup. This location didn't have a variety of desert when we went on a Wednesday night, but we can't complain because we enjoyed the matcha pudding anyway. The service was good. I've dined here a few times and it's always a pleasant experience. The ramen is tasty, and I really liked their thai iced tea. I would recommend their Tokyo Tonkatsu Shoyu ramen for entree and I did enjoy their agedashi tofu for appetizer. Restaurant Location: Located in downtown Flushing, this restaurant is conveniently located near many public transportation , municipal park lots, and private parking lots. You can take the subway to Flushing Main Street or take a MTA bus here. Parking: There is metered street parking but it can be a challenging to find a spot due to the traffic especially on weekends. There is a small municipal lot which has the closest walking distance (3 blocks away). There are large private parking lots such as the one in Tangram Mall, Skyview Mall and new world mall which has an affordable hourly rate. Space: It has two levels, 7 table on the upper level with one restroom that was clean. Bar seating and booths downstairs (there probably is a handicap restroom downstairs). Greeting & Seating: Came here on a Friday Night around 5:30pm - no wait. Was greeted immediately. Received Friendly Service from Hostess and Waitress. Great customer service: the waitress, IRIS, was knowledgeable about the menu and patient. Food: There is a large selection of food to choose from on the menu. We decided to order two ramens, Sapporo Spicy Ramen and Tokyo Tonkotsu Shouyu Ramen as Ramen is their speciality. You can choose your own spicy level. The ramen came about 10 mins after the order was placed. The broth was flavorful and the noodles were cooked at the perfect level of chewyness. The two pork slices were roasted that gave it a nice char flavor. The match pudding was lightly sweetened but a bit thick for my preference. It was served with a side of milk. So when mixed it made the pudding to a softer consistency. Pricing was fair as well. Pls photos for pricing. Overall both ramen was delicious and I would recommend eating at this Japanese Restaurant. I came to eat after waiting for a table I was seated and handed two menus. No water was provided and had to request it. I received my ramen with basically no pork and had to request more. After eating we wanted to order dessert I pressed the call button 3 times when someone came they just put a check on table no refilling water or asking for desserts. The forest hills location was a better experience. I also tipped like 15 percent and the waitress just glared at me. Not a good experience spent $53 also they bring cooked food from outside in on a cart and guy handling door and tongs just tosses it on the proteins and the guy in the back was cooking and touching his face. read more

Menu is misleading, the full menu with egg has increased in price with no note anywhere until you order and ask about the price. Also the lunch special menu says free preset appetizer and drink but when the server put it in, it was increased by $2+. When asked, they said it is just a discounted prices d is more expensive than just ordering a ramen even though it clearly states you only pay for the ramen and get those free. Edit: Food is pretty good, service needs work. Maybe more training? I have been here and other branches before but the server today needs work. Served rice without asking if we want to take a picture as it is normal for this rice. Served each entree without asking if we need anything else. After seeing it blow up on Instagram, I just had to see what all the fuss was about at Kyuramen. Known for its famous omurice, inspired by Japanese chef Motokichi Yukimura of Kichi Kichi Omurice fame, I went in with high hopes and an empty stomach. The ambiance at Kyuramen is amazing, with separate eating spaces that provide an intimate environment and a sense of privacy. It's like having your own little dining nook. The server puts on quite a show when you order the omurice, cutting into it to reveal a creamy, gooey interior that sort of explodes open. However, the omurice itself was underwhelming. It was kind of bland, and I expected stronger flavors given the glaze. The omelette was also overcooked, evident by the curled edges of the egg after the server's performance. High expectations definitely led to disappointment here. On the brighter side, their Thai milk tea was spectacular and is what got me hooked on Thai milk tea--absolutely amazing! Their pork buns, however, were pricey and tasted just okay--definitely something you can skip. Overall, while the omurice didn't quite live up to the hype, the ambiance and Thai milk tea at Kyuramen make it worth a visit. Just maybe lower your expectations for the omurice and enjoy the show. read more

Stopped by to check them out since they recently reopened. It looks like they've expanded their interior to offer second floor seating now which is nice (outdoor seating is gone). I saw that they had a BOGO promotion on Instagram, but at the end of my meal I found out it was just a free ramen coupon for your next visit which is a bit misleading. The service was top-notch with the waiters constantly asking if we needed any help, clearing the table right away and asking if we needed refills of our water. I got the Katsuobushi Pork Ramen which seemed to be a new menu item and my brother got the Tokyo Tonkotsu Shouyu. I enjoyed the pork belly in mine more than the chasu in the Tokyo Tonkotsu. It was braised well but not super tender so there was still a bit of a chew to it. Even though my Ramen said, had a red pepper next to it on the menu, it wasn't too spicy at all in fact, it was mild spicy. We also got the popcorn chicken and this was nicely fried. The chicken was juicy but crispy on the outside and the seasoning was on point. A good rendition of Taiwanese popcorn chicken. Overall this is still a good place to get some decent ramen in Flushing without having to trek out to the city. read more

Came in for an early lunch with my partner. I got the curry ramen with diced chashu combo with Thai iced tea as the drink and a pork bao. She ordered the Omurice with tonkatsu, curry sauce and the same drink. The Thai iced tea was milky sweet, with a faint taste of tea. Enjoyable and soothing. The curry ramen was savory and tasty. All the ingredients mix well with each bite. I thought that portion would be small but the bowl will indeed fill you up and they serve a plentiful amount of diced chashu. If that doesn't fill you up, the formidable pork bao that took me 5 bites to finish will. The Omurice was terrific through and through. Though the rice could be a tad more seasoned, the curry sauce puts in overtime to cover all taste concerns, blending nicely with the egg as well. The tonkatsu addition made it almost a challenge to finish so the price is definitely justifiable. Service was great and the layout of the restaurant is eye catching at the very least. read more
