This is my third or fourth time visiting this restaurant in Flushing. It is on Prince Street, on the same block as Tangram Mall. I've brought friends here because I've always enjoyed their dishes. There also aren't many noodle restaurants left in the neighborhood, so it's nice to have a spot like this. It's a great place to visit on a cold day. The restaurant itself is a decent size. It can get busy in the evenings, but for the most part, you can still find a table. The portions are quite generous, and the service is good. There's minimal interaction with the staff since you place your order through a tablet provided at the table. Dropped in for a quick weekend lunch around 1pm - somewhat busy but relatively quick turnover so there were plenty of seats available throughout. I ordered the original bone broth rice noodles with sliced beef (肥牛 原湯米粉). Service was a tad slower than expected (usually these restaurants are super speedy) but not a big deal. The bowl was really quite large and came in a double layered bowl+holder so that it wasn't too hot to move around, which I thought was a nice touch. The noodles were very yummy - not too overcooked or too chewy - and the plentiful toppings really helped bring the whole bowl together. Lettuce was cooked quite well to be still crunchy without tasting too raw, and other things like the tofu bites and quail egg added some welcome variety overall. The broth was a highlight - very rich and fragrant without being too heavy or salty to drink directly. I had the Supreme Fish Maw Chicken rice noodle soup the first time I went by myself in August, was blown away by the clean taste, this is legit slow cooked golden chicken soup. The ingredients are all fresh, chicken is lightly salted, fish maw was a little fishy though (about 2-3 small pieces). No complaints though it felt very nourishing and healthy. Today, I was craving it again especially on a rainy day and convinced my partner to come with me. I had the Original Bone Soup Rice Noodles, my partner had the Golden Supreme Fish Maw Abalone and Sea Cucumber Rice Noodle Soup (hm one abalone only though even though pic shows 3 btw), we shared a plate of Braised Assorted Beef. Everything was perfect until the end when my partner noticed a small roach was crawling on the empty table next to us. We alerted the waitress who killed it on the spot and took away the napkins and utensils that was set out on the table. My partner reminded her though, that she should disinfect the table not just wipe it with a dry napkin. She proceeded to use some hand sanitizer on the napkin and lightly wiped the table with it. It makes me shudder the next customers who will sit on that table with roach guts...at least wipe it down properly with a real hard surface disinfectant...I proceeded to pay the bill and we left. Kind of shocked. Next time I'm craving this again, will go to their Bayside location maybe it's more sanitary and their employees know how to properly handle situations like this. Was craving noodles in Flushing and stumbled upon this place! We ordered our items to go and it was ready very quickly - only 10-15 min! Make sure to not shake the bags on the way home. The togo bag was a very sturdy cloth based material which was a nice touch. The togo containers separate the noodles from the soup broth on top, which prevent them from getting soggy and soaked. It seems they're know for their sauerkraut fish noodle soup so we ordered that, tomato beef noodle soup, fish and chicken noodle soup and woodear mushroom appetizers. Note for those with meat restrictions - their broths are pork based (and the chicken soup is of course chicken based) but there is no pork or chicken meat unless specified. Highly recommend the sauerkraut fish noodle soup if you're craving noodles! Though if I'm just craving the fish, I prefer B2J sauerkraut fish. The sauerkraut is pickled + preserved Chinese vegetables and the broth is slightly spicy and sour. Tomato beef broth was great as well, reminded me of Haidilao's tomato base. The only downfall is that there was one tablet for our table so we had to take turns reviewing the menu and placing our orders in the app which slowed things down and also puts a bit of pressure on the last person adding their order. Haha The menu includes many segments to choose from including soup noodles, ramen, sauce mixed noodles, rice, cold dishes, appetizers, braised and some fun beverages. I decided on the 'M6. Assorted Beef Sauce Mixed Rice Noodles' (全家福干拌粉) extra spicy and with extra cilantro. I think this is one of the first times I have actually ordered extra spicy and gotten it. I'm assuming it's because the app doesn't see who's ordering it so it just sends the original request to the kitchen without questioning it, whereas when giving the order to a person they see this very white girl with the round German face and think my version of hot is white people levels not realizing that I can probably take heat better than them. ;) The noodle dish was full of flavor and rich. The meat was seasoned well and the tripe was perfectly chewy and soft. There were only two things I didn't love about my dish. One was the hard boiled egg. It's a ME thing and not a dish issue as I just prefer Ajitsuke Tamago, ramen seasoned jammy eggs. Since they have ramen I could have asked for a ramen egg but I wanted the dish as it was intended. The other thing for me was the noodles as they were a little too soft for me. I like my noodles firmer so as I am eating them and the heat from the dish is still cooking them they slowly get softer. In this case the noodles were already softer than I like from the start. That being said, it was still a delicious noodle dish with the perfect amount of heat and umami. I ended up taking half of it home as I was stuffed and I have to say, cold then next day, they might have been even better. Crazy, I know but the flavors seems more intense. Sooo good! I ordered three items: their signature fish maw chicken, the dry beef mix and the brown sugar rice cake. All the items were good. The noodle in the fish maw soup was a little over cooked, but the chicken was so good that I think it's ok that the noodle wasn't perfect. The dry mifen was al dente though. I really like the sauce they use, because usually the dry noodle sauces are too saucy or have too much peanut butter sauce or too spicy...this one is just right! They also gave me a lot of lettuce for the 2 dollar add-on. The last item, brown sugar rice cake, is the best I have had in flushing so far. It's not over fried! read more
