A mixture of booths and counter service. Very nice cozy place to pick up a bowl of hot, steaming ramen!

The spicy miso ramen had just the perfect amount of heat - I asked the server and she told me if you'd like it spicier just ask! The service was great, considering the restaurant was full and the two servers were really hustling to keep up - my ramen was served up quickly- but, my appetizer was forgotten! I was really looking forward to the gyoza - the dining room is very casual, and the decor is very relaxed - giving off the local sushi bar vibe - the restaurant is close to my house - so, I'll definitely be eating here often!!

I finally got around to trying Kyushu and I was really impressed! I admit I had low expectations lol but everything I had was very well executed and the ambiance here is awesome, especially for Fairfield! I'm so happy this is only 5 min away!!! This is my first stop for Flavors of Fairfield and it's very worthy! The staff was very kind to me when I asked how to check in and the code was right there lol + Mango green tea - Sooooo good!!! Can't believe I have a solid place to get boba so close to me now! The drink wasn't too sweet even though I didn't modify it, and the boba was great! Awesome mango flavor! + Karaage - I agree with another reviewer who said this is not Japanese style karaage lol. However, the meat was tender and juicy and I really liked it! It was nice. Haven't actually found legit karaage around here yet, if someone knows let me know. Probably at Chako or Mochiko they have it. + Sushi rolls - I got the tuna mango, yellowtail with scallion (hamachi negi) and eel avocado. All were great! They season the rice here! I could cry! Lol I'm very simple. The fish is fresh and everything was flavorful and done very well. Next time I may try a special roll or whatever. Would definitely try nigiri here too. Next time I will try gyudon, so happy this is on the menu. Someday I'll try the ramen too, not a big ramen person though. I hope they might add curry to the menu someday :) I'll mention it next time I'm there. Happy to support this business that serves fantastic food and so happy they are here! Keep it up Kyushu!!

We are from out of town and went to Jungle Jims and decided to find a neat new place to have lunch. We were craving Asian, Thai or Chinese, and found this place. When we saw it from the street it looked very small because it was part of a strip mall. When we got inside, it was very welcoming And very tastefully decorated. Our server was so friendly and made sure we knew we could stay as long as we wanted to, and that it was no rush. He was very attentive to our needs and helped us pick menu items. The steamed shrimp Gyoza was delicious and both the udon noodles and the Ramen or very tasteful! I will definitely be returning to try many more things on the menu!

First time ordering from here. The sushi was decent, not outstanding and I've had far better. Ordered the Oshinko roll, which was the best of the three items I ordered, but I will say half of the rolls were falling apart. The Spicy Salmon roll was sloppy, the spicy mayo was globbed on the top & it was too much, so much so that it overpowered the taste of anything else in the roll. The Yellowtail was okay, but the jalapeños looked straight out of a jar.

I was in town for work and decided to try this place based on the ratings. I didn't know what to expect because it's Asian food in Ohio but their ramens and sushi were pretty up there!!! And I had lots of them before in Taiwan and California. Their service and prices were really good too. 10/10 recommend!

The food and decor were AMAZING !!! The best ramen I've had yet in the Ohio area. Our server was Yumi and she had fantastic service in making sure we chose the best dishes.

We stopped in here since we just needed a snack because we have a birthday dinner tonight. We got a salmon roll, Honey walnut shrimp over pineapple & a peach ginger tea. Everything from the ambiance, to the food, to the service was exceptional! We will be back for a whole meal ASAP! A++

The tonkatsu ramen was perfect for a cold winter day. It was perfectly seasoned and the portion fit the price. The broth was rich yet not too heavy. My favorite was the soy marinated egg. I would definitely come back to try other ramens.

This place was far above what I was expecting. I was seated immediately and there were a few tables in there, nothing too crazy though. The server gave me a menu and water right away and let me figure out what I wanted. I ordered the Shoyu Ramen and added an extra egg to it, I love the soft boiled eggs in any ramen, and a spice level of 1. After ordering my food came within ten minutes. It was astonishingly fast. It came out hot and looked so good. The eggs were perfectly soft boiled, the pork was tender, the broth was flavorful and the perfect level of spice. The noodles were super good and all together it was a great bowl. The portion sizes were huge so I took the rest home for leftovers. My server checked on me often and was very attentive. She offered dessert but I was way too full. The service was super fast, I was probably in there for just over 40 minutes in total. I didn't feel rushed a t all, and overall it was a great place I will definitely be going to again.

All seats at the bar were open, but we hoped to sit at a regular (not high-top) table. As it turned out there were a few options in the back. That said, it wasn't long before the place was packed. Our server Tyra was fantastic. Down to earth and helpful with recommendations. She made us feel welcome and comfortable. We started with Jumbo Ebi Shumai. Tyra asked if we wanted a fourth (the dish comes with three) so we wouldn't have to rock-paper-scissors for the third dumpling. I thought they were delicious. I loved the spicy mustard that came with them. I admit they had a slight fishy flavor. I mean it was shrimp and I enjoyed it. Mark is less of a fish fan in general. The dumplings didn't really hit the mark for him. If you like seafood and you like shrimp you should enjoy the Shumai. I opted for Tonkatsu Ramen - Ramen and thick creamy pork broth with roast pork, soft boiled egg, bamboo, wood ear mushroom, ginger and green onion. I added black garlic oil and did not go spicy at all. I thought it was very good and I ate literally every drop. Mark had Spicy Miso Ramen - Ramen and spicy creamy soybean paste pork broth with roast pork, soft boiled egg, bamboo, wood ear mushroom, and green onion. He said it was spicy, which was perfect for him. He also enjoyed his meal and finished every drop. We still had time to kill before the show so we opted for dessert. There were two options - Green Tea or Red Bean Ice Creams. Tyra recommended Red Bean and I'm glad she did. It was sweet with just the slightest crunch from the beans. It was a good size serving, hand dipped by Tyra. The proximity of Zundo to Memorial Hall or Music Hall makes it the perfect pre-show stop for dinner. We will definitely be back.

Better than ramen I've had in San Francisco, Atlanta, Chicago or Dallas. The chili oil or sashuan oil is not as hot as I thought. Easy to eat, even if you can't tolerate much spice. I wasn't as surprised this time by the location in a neighborhood, something that gives it a very welcome feel and suggests with the addition of a covered outdoor porch with picnic tables that this is a good neighborhood hang. I was late for lunch, almost two but there were some folks still finishing up. Good vibe, good music and casual atmosphere. I opted for the Takoyaki app which was tasty and not so burning hot that it scorched the roof of your mouth. Also the right amount of mayonnaise as opposed to often an excess. The Ramen Flight was fun in principle but I wouldn't do it again. I unwisely and perhaps naively assumed there would be mini versions of the full serving of Tonkotsu broth with Mayo, Thai curry and Szechuan with scallions. But it really is just the broth and ramen. Expected the Szechuan to have some heat and peppery lip buzz but did not. The Thai curry was super salty. Just missed some option of veggies and protein. Finally I would suggest not sitting near the front near the stairs to the kitchen. The spot has competing music soundtracks with two different play lists battling between your two ears.
