Had the Katsu Curry Rice bowl tonight, and the flavors and textures were AMAZING. I don't usually got ALL CAPS on things, but this is an amazing dish! I got it to-go, so pix won't do it justice, but it comes in a two-tier container, one with the curry sauce , and one with the rice, pickled onions, and katsu fried pork. I could eat this every night of the week. I've tried their Teriyaki Chicken Don rice bowl here (also AMAZING) and their Ramen at the original location on 12th St., OTR, also AMAZING. With the ramen bowls you can get an extra serving of noodles, but beware, that's a lot of food! The space is nice, with a Cincy-centric mural, but it is in a strip mall on Red Bank. Neighbors with some other good restaurants in El Jinete and New Shaan. Please give them a try, you won't regret it, I promise.

I was looking for a good birthday restaurant and this was a wonderful more laid back experience! My group went around dinner time and the place was well kept. There was a grand opening sign so I am not sure how new it is, but it was not crowded when we got there. For appetizers we got gyoza, edamame, and tako yaki, which came out piping hot and very tasty. I got the Chicken Katsu Ramen with extra noodles. It was so tasty, and while I love noodles, I ordered way more than I could stomach, haha! The bowls are very large, and the different ramens my group got they all enjoyed! We did not have room for dessert as we were so full. I would definitely take more people again. I hope for good things from this place!

The broth was my favorite part of the dish. Service was a bit slow - server took a while between stages of the meal. Overall, however, I was very happy with my meal and will definitely come back for more ramen.

We decided to try Zundo Ramen & Donburi prior to a show at Memorial Hall. We arrived at 6 pm on a…read moreFriday. All seats at the bar were open, but we hoped to sit at a regular (not high-top) table. As it turned out there were a few options in the back. That said, it wasn't long before the place was packed. Our server Tyra was fantastic. Down to earth and helpful with recommendations. She made us feel welcome and comfortable. We started with Jumbo Ebi Shumai. Tyra asked if we wanted a fourth (the dish comes with three) so we wouldn't have to rock-paper-scissors for the third dumpling. I thought they were delicious. I loved the spicy mustard that came with them. I admit they had a slight fishy flavor. I mean it was shrimp and I enjoyed it. Mark is less of a fish fan in general. The dumplings didn't really hit the mark for him. If you like seafood and you like shrimp you should enjoy the Shumai. I opted for Tonkatsu Ramen - Ramen and thick creamy pork broth with roast pork, soft boiled egg, bamboo, wood ear mushroom, ginger and green onion. I added black garlic oil and did not go spicy at all. I thought it was very good and I ate literally every drop. Mark had Spicy Miso Ramen - Ramen and spicy creamy soybean paste pork broth with roast pork, soft boiled egg, bamboo, wood ear mushroom, and green onion. He said it was spicy, which was perfect for him. He also enjoyed his meal and finished every drop. We still had time to kill before the show so we opted for dessert. There were two options - Green Tea or Red Bean Ice Creams. Tyra recommended Red Bean and I'm glad she did. It was sweet with just the slightest crunch from the beans. It was a good size serving, hand dipped by Tyra. The proximity of Zundo to Memorial Hall or Music Hall makes it the perfect pre-show stop for dinner. We will definitely be back.

Strong corn flavor on the corn pastry, bold. Not pictured is the bbq bao which was also great. Wish it had some bit of heat though to counter the sweet. Great service. Super friendly. Overall it was a bit overfilled so it was very messy and hard to eat. I could have done without the hidden coconut shavings inside. KIMCHI & EGG CROISSANT 5 I had this one for breakfast. I warmed it in my air fryer for 6 minutes on 330 so it didn't overcook. The croissant was flaky and delicious, and the kimchi added good flavor without being spicy. I would have liked to see a little more mozzarella but overall it was tasty! SOBACHA CHOCOLATE CHUNK COOKIE 4 Also tasty, oversized cookie. Soft and chewy texture. CINNAMON ALMOND BLUEBERRY TOAST (THURSDAY/FRIDAY ONLY) 5.25 Very good. The cinnamon filling reminded me of a brown sugar pop tart. I warmed it in my air fryer and it was perfect. Would order again. I just wish they had an espresso bar!
