Horrible customer service. I asked the lady to do a certain design and she told me she couldn't do it. So I picked a different design when she was almost done she said she could do it. She just didn't want to do it because she was lazy. My nails look horrible and super thick. They asked my daughter to pick out a nail color, the gel color and the reg colors were mixed in together. They did not inform us the color was gel. A $8 color turned into $30 color. I would never recommend this place to anyone. read more

Thought this was a great place and had been going every two weeks but today I had a newer person (still in training) do my nails which resulted in bubbles in 7 of 10 of my fingers with the gel nail polish. When I politely tried to point it out there was a bit of a language barrier so another team member stepped in, she acknowledged there were bubbles but then told me it was because the nail polish quality was low from the brand (I picked based on color not brand) and it happens sometimes. This felt like a complete deflection so I asked why they would use poor nail polish quality if they knew it caused air bubbles?...everyone knows what causes bubbles...either too thick or trapped air between layers that aren't correctly dried before the next layer is added. I asked for the head technician who I typically work with and thought we had a good relationship but apparently kindness only applies if you have no complaints. I tried to show her the bubbles and was told she couldn't seem them on any fingers minus thumb...keep in mind we already acknowledged there were bubbles earlier so now suddenly they didn't exist...what? I shared that it was ok, I understood that my technician was still learning but it was not ok to take back acknowledgment there was an issue. I was told basically that I was wrong and she was very good. I just shocked my head and was so confused. I was then asked to pay full price and told that I could find another place to go. Wow...So yeah, I guess the customer service is non existent and it doesn't matter if its your first visit or your millionth, if a mistake is made on their part it will not owned, fixed or made right. What could have been a simple fix and a happy customer turned into complete bewilderment, leaving with bubbles and $100 out of my pocket. So disappointing. read more

YELPing is mostly for food reviews but occasionally I give a "shout out" to a non-food place when a "shout out" is warranted. I realize that it's rather "fem-bod" or "metro-sexual" for a dood to review a nail place but I confess to having an occasional peddie. My one, Moey, has been a long-time customer here and took me here recently to prep for our Cali trip in smoggy Anaheim. I was very pleased with the job L A Nails did. Moey got a mannie/peddie and I got just a peddie. They are very thorough and give great attention to detail, often doing "touch-ups" during the process on any spots they may have missed. You get a foot bath and a hot-rock treatment as well as tons of products to "softify" and treat your feet. Status-post peddie, my feet felt as though I had a bilateral foot transplant from Pedularis (Greek God of Feet) and they looked so spiffy and were way more softer, bro. Moey's nails looked unicorn and I persuaded her to chose "Shocking Pink" as her color and it looks youthful and wicked girly to boot. As a coupe de gras, Moey got a flower painted each annularis which looked wicked cute. Treat your feet to a treat. YOLO, bro, YOLO... read more

Included with your pedicure are the hot stones which many places charge extra for but they include as part of the service. The only downside is sometimes you have to wait but that goes to show you how good they are! read more

Love it!! I ended up here reluctantly, and by accident but ever since I got my gel manicure here, I won't go any place else! I'll even go with a mangled manicure before I cheat and go to a different salon. I had been going to another place off and on, but I really needed a manicure one day and the other place was too busy to take me. So again, REALLY needing a manicure, I popped into LA Nails and they accommodated me within minutes. Tanya did an amazing job. My gel lasted 3 full weeks before I had to go back. (French. So that helped). So when I needed to go back, I tried to get an appointment with Tina. The only problem is I waited too late and she was busy for most of the day. Again, really needing a manicure and on able to squeeze it into my schedule at any other time, I took a chance and had a different woman. To my surprise, she also was amazing! Another three week manicure! And so the story goes... I've had about five different women, and each of them was really really good. Not to mention they work pretty fast too. Sometimes faster means the manicure starts lifting sooner, but these women know what they're doing! They work fast, and they do a fabulous job. I've had a number of pedicures too, and those good too. How much can you mess that up though?! I can't speak to acrylics or tips or any other thing, but if you're looking for a gel manicure or that's going to go the distance, definitely come here. read more

I went to L.A. nails on Sunday 2, 2015 and my experience was Good. There was a 30 min wait but the pedi and mani were worth it. The wait kinda sucks:/ felt longer than 30 min for sure. But Only $30 for Pedi and Mani and i had a good leg and foot massage with rocks. Good price & good service. Younger lady took care of me, I forgot to ask for her name. This was my first time going here so I'll give it another review later. read more

I am a regular customer here but the customer service is definitely hit or miss. I called ahead to get in for a gel manicure and pedicure. I got there and waited a full half hour and they still hadn't gotten to me. In the meantime, they continued to tell other customers that walked in that the wait was a half hour. There is no point in calling ahead if they can't guarantee that I will be taken at the time promised. The nail techs that work here are amazing but the management is lacking the ability to accommodate her regulars. I will reconsider going back here for a while...I am disappointed. read more

Terrible customer service. I called in to see if I could get an overlay done and they said to come in. When I came in for it, the first thing she said is why don't you get gel? I always have gel on my nails so I wanted something different and thicker that will help my nails look longer. She did not oblige and kept pushing the gel. When I told her I might be interested in making my nails looks longer and wanted to try on an acrylic tip to see how it would look on my hand, she made a comment to the other lady and they laughed and she continued to refuse doing anything other than gel. I decided to check out the gel but at that point, that wasn't what I came in there for, so I decided to leave instead since she couldn't do what I had asked her to do to begin with. She just smirked and sat there with her arms crossed. No problem, there are plenty of other salons that actually do what you ask of them, so I can just take my business there. I usually always come to this place to get my nails done and they've always done a great job till I went in the other day to get a fill. Now who I am assuming is the owner because she is always sitting and doing nothing. I went in and they had every nail tech busy so I just sat down until one opened up and so she saw me waiting and got her ass up as if she didn't want to do anything and I didn't tell her to do my nails but whatever she told me to sit down, mind you a fill shouldn't take more than an hour. I was there for an hour and a half for just a fill. She kept stopping every two seconds to laugh or to go do something or literally she walked away at one point to describe a situation she had went through to the other nail techs and I told her I wanted to keep the length and she didn't pay any mind, she literally kept filing and filing, my left hand is shorter than my right, my left hand is more coffin shape which is what I had before than my right hand that looks Square. It's literally horrible and I always recommend this place to everyone. Maybe just a bad day but I'm never having the owner do my nails again. read more

Have been coming here for years but it has certainly gone down hill as far as cleanliness. Also, no sense in calling ahead of time. I have called ahead of time in the past only to be told when to come in & get there for that time & still wait, but today was the "frosting on the cake" I called & was told not to busy & when to come in only to get there & be told we r too busy & short help today, can u come back?!!Needless to say, I was not happy!! Then when I told the owner "I called & u told me to come" that I would not if she told me they were busy!! Made me feel very uncomfortable we they all started talking in "their language" she then said, u can stay!! Time to look for a new place!! read more

I went in and got a gel manicure, and it came out thick, gloopy, and generally ugly. I had to go pick up my kids and returned 2 hours later asking them to fix it. First, they argued with me and insisted that my manicure was fine and they didn't need to do anything. Eventually, I got them to agree to fix it and they had me sit down and wait for over an hour while the tech that did my nails finished her other client. Mind you, there were 3 other girls sitting around doing nothing the whole time. By the time she had soaked my gel off I had to leave, and when I asked for my money back they refused and said to come back later. I'm sorry, but after I waited the entire day in this place I am not going to come back for another crappy manicure. Zero customer service and they think it's funny to talk about you if you complain at all. read more
