Had a lovely hot stone pedicure today. Spa O nails was today's spot. It was located next to our hotel. The chairs we very comfy and relaxing. My lady was very good at massaging my feet and legs. My nail technician was not friendly at all. It was obvious that my broken nail was a burden to her, and she cut off half of my nail and put a fake nail on, then told me it would be an extra charge. Everything she did seemed like I was a bother to her, when I went in for a simple dip manicure. The worst experience was getting a phone call 45 minutes later from another employee who said my technician said I didn't tip and how much I would like to add over the phone. On the receipt there was no line to add a tip, and I didn't have any cash on me. While I initially felt guilty that I didn't tip, I quite honestly felt that she didn't deserve one given the bad attitude throughout my experience. Getting a phone call after I had left asking for a tip felt wildly unprofessional and made me very uncomfortable. read more

Nails came out good but they really need to work on customer service here. The man who did my nails looked like he didn't want to be there at all. No small talk, no smiling, no eye contact, not a very friendly experience. Massage was also not great, it was more of a foot rub with no technique. Just a general observation- The nail techs stand against the side wall texting when they don't have customers and I thought that was kind of strange. Absolutely the best nail salon I've ever been to. Been a customer for 2 years. Doesn't matter which employee you get, they are all extremely talented and perfectionists. Used to love Spa O! Tried Do Nails and will never go again!!!! They told my sister she could not get the standard pedicure and forced her to get a more expensive one. I went with my friend and it took my lady TWO whole hours to do my dip manicure, no tips or designs. She also cut me with the drill multiple times without an apology. Both our dip manicures chipped within a week, and the top coat started peeling. Now at two weeks, all my nails are cracked, and many are broken. So frustrating. Came here with my SIL a few weeks ago for a gel manicure. The staff was friendly, lots of colors, clean spot. Gel was $35 (I think) and only lasted about a week before it started to chip. Since when does a pedicure not include pumicing your feet? First and last time for this place! I will NEVER go to this nail salon again. I was told if I wanted to have it done it was going to cost me an extra $20! The pedicure was $30! So your telling me $50 for a basic pedicure!? The pictures attached says it all. Walked in this Monday May 27, 2019 at my USUAL place Spa O Nails to get my nails done. They didn't have any openings so they booked me for the next day. I showed up to my 9:30am appointment the next day Tuesday. The same guy who booked me the day before told me that due to the long length (usual long length from day one going there) of my nails instead of $45 they would have to charged me $55, seriously? Needless to say, I left. I immediately called my girlfriend that referred me to this place. It turned out that her and friends stop going there for the extra charges as well. They have a price list on the wall that doesn't mention anything about all the extra charges. Ladies be aware!! This place won't last, they are not honest. I absolutely love this salon! I've been going here since they first opened and have never had a bad experience. I'm very picky when it comes to getting my nails done and Sarah always does an amazing job of making sure I'm happy with how they've turned out. She always takes her time, makes sure to address any issue I'm having with my nails and does an amazing job. I've never once left unhappy. The owners are also amazing. They're very accommodating in ensuring they can fit you in whenever possible, even if it means coming shortly before they close (which I unfortunately have to do from time to time with work). The salon always looks incredibly clean. I've been to many other places that could never measure up to the cleaning habits at Spa O. Having been there after closing time because of my late appointments, I've personally seen all of the cleaning they do in the salon. When I say they clean everything, they. clean. everything. To me, this is one of the most important aspects of a nail salon. Another big plus is that they don't continuously use the same tools/files over and over again. They always open a new file every time I sit down. I love the color selection that they offer at the salon and I love love loveee the paraffin wax dip treatment that comes complimentary with manicures and pedicures. My hands and heels are always so soft when I leave. I also love that the nail technician gives a shoulder massage while you're receiving the paraffin wax treatment. Always my favorite part! For 65.00 I got a basic pedicure and a gel manicure. My heels were dipped in wax. Had a nice long foot message. The foot tubs are lined with plastic so no contamination issues. They use new files with each person. I saw her open a brand new file package for me, then discard it. Your hands are dipped in paraffin wax after they have you do an exfoliating hand scrub at the sink. They also give you a brief heated towel neck message. Most relaxing mani/pedi I've had. The background music complements the setting. The place is all white,spotless, and clean. All the equipment is new. I hate touching those remotes on the pedicure chairs in a lot of these places because they don't look like they've been cleaned, but this place is about as clean as it's ever going to get. Think they just got me as a new regular customer. I love my salon near my house but this place definitely goes the extra mile! read more

Me and my daughter had our nails painted here. Within a day out gel polish was popping up and came off on two nails. Because it's convenient we went back one more time for pedis and gel nails. I was told after my feet were soaked pumice was not included. In all of my life I have never had this service NOT included in a regular pedi. The cheapest service with pumice almost doubled and when I questioned them and offered to do it myself before they painted my toes they kicked me out of their salon. Okay. I rarely write reviews unless it's super warranted. I live in LA and have lived in Orange County and get my nails done regularly. This is the BEST manicure I've ever had. Justin was meticulous and made it a super relaxing experience (mini massages, parfin wax and this was a REGULAR manicure) which is one of my favorite things about getting my nails done. They need to move this place to Beverly Hills so I can go here regularly. Massachusetts ppl - this will be your fav new nail spot. And, it's super clean and new! Five stars. read more

I just had one of the best manicures ever! From the second I walked in everyone was so friendly and attentive. While getting my nails done another worker gave me a back massage. The sugar scrub and wax dip made my hands feel so luxurious. Plus the hot towel and additional shoulder massage were the icing on the cake. I feel so relaxed and pampered. Everything is super clean here. I might even consider getting a pedicure next time, which I never do! The price is a little higher than other salons, but for everything you get, it's a bargain. The unbelievably nasty attitudes these people have towards women of color is nasty and unacceptable. We came in here, five brown women each shelling out over 100 dollars and were treated like intruders the entire time. It came to the point of one of the men grabbing a bottle of nail polish one of us was testing and telling her that she was going to break it. Meanwhile a steady parade of suburban white women marched in and were treated like royalty. In the end we did pedicures then left before manicures because of how nasty the treatment was. This place started out good when it opened a year or so ago. Clean and a good job. Not great. There were always issues with manicures coming out wrong. Having to go back for repairs. I really loved it here in the beginning, it's very clean, they do free paraffin with your nails, as well as a back rub. However every time I went, my nails broke. At least one a week. Each time they blamed me and said either I had them to long or I must have done something, but I never had this issue before, so after about 6 months, I stopped going. I haven't had a broken nail since I left there. I really wish the quality was better because I was willing to pay the higher price that they charge for a place I liked, but going back at least once between fills is too much. read more

This first time I went to this salon I had a great experience, the girl was extremely attentive and took her time. This morning I went in looking forward to getting a gel manicure as it had a been awhile. My experience was awful! This particular girl was extremely unpleasant, she took approximately 15 seconds for a hand massage with lotion. Asked if I wanted the special stuff to dip your hand in (can't remember the name) and gave a certain "look" when I said yes. The whole process should have been about 35-40 minutes, I was there for maybe 20. I felt uncomfortable and completely un relaxed the entire time. She left a chunk of the "dip" on my bracelet and wrist and didn't even bother to look if everything was gone. Then once I told the woman up front that my experience was unpleasant and I was upset she pretty much ignored me and told me how much I owed! I left so angry telling myself I would never go back. Another employee came out after me because I had forgotten my coat, I told him what happened and he said he was surprised and that he was sorry and embarrassed. I told him it wasn't his fault but I just wanted them to be aware. I'm very sad, as I was excited about this place being so great the first time. Very clean, all the instruments used at opened in front of you so you know it's clean. You should get what you pay for, but customer service is not up to par. The posting says "walk ins welcome." Disagree. I walked in at 11 a.m.and the first question I was asked was "do you have an appointment?" I didn't! So I offered to come back later if they were busy (which they clearly were not) but they took me anyway for a dip mani/ normal polish pedi. Thy started getting out materials to soak my nails in foil while I was in the pedicure chair. I told them I wanted to relax during my ($60) pedicure instead of having my nails soaking while I was getting my massage/pedicure. Then the manager told me in that case... I could only get a pedicure, as spa o is booked for the DAY (again-I offered to come back later) and "dips take a long time to take off." So forget it I'll just do a classic pedi. I mean, when I originally got the initial dip mani (3 weeks ago at SpaO), and hesitated because I was worried that it would be a problem to change out...they told me removal is no problem at all. THEN..: Apparently the particular color of (non gel) Essie polish I picked for my toes... well I guess it "stays on longer than the other colors" so... it's $3 extra. Well that's a first-ha! If the experience had been pleasant already I wouldn't have cared. I didn't say anything to them but that was a surprising up charge. Pedicure finished at 11:23. Listen, owners: you're allegedly a high end nail spa. Cater to the clients' wants. Clients: If you have money to spend for a nice experience, go somewhere else that appreciates your business and makes sure you enjoy the experience. Edit: I asked if they could at least take off the dip polish... they wouldn't! There were three girls not doing anything. Edit 2: went to T & C and they took off the old SpaO dips and did my manicure without issue even though they were busy. The woman Ivy has no personality and she did a horrible nail job. She did not even clean my cuticles. I would never go to her again.

I had an acrylic dip powder manicure done on Sunday. By Tuesday during a mid-day meeting I noticed that the acrylic had started to crack. It's now Friday and the acrylic continues to crack and lift up from my nails. I'll need to go get them done this weekend at my original nail salon where dip powder lasts at least two weeks flawlessly. Unbelievable that I spent $45 on a dip powder manicure (not including my $10 tip) for it do be ruined within two days. Never again. read more
