One of the best poke bowl places I've been to. Three bowl sizes, so I went with the medium which comes with 3 meat choices. Went with the tuna and spicy tuna on white rice (3 rice options as well). Similar to Chipotle, you start your order picking the size and rice, then "meats". As you progress down the counter, you pick topping and sauces, so in my case I tried out jalapeños and pineapples on top of tuna, spicy tuna, and white rice. I thought the portion was perfect to leave me content. They also have a ramen section where you can choose a packet ramen of your choice from the wall and utilize hot water machines to make your bowl. Plenty of tables and seats available for dine in and staff were friendly on helping out a first timer like myself. Definitely will be back here if I'm back in the area! read more

I created my own bowl: two proteins, salmon & shrimp w/white rice, cucumber, green onion, ginger, garlic crisp, corn, seaweed and avocado but it was really fresh! I know I had ponzu sauce but I got another soy sauce based sauce as well. However, the shrimp was so finely chopped or dice who knows how many I really had! Definitely wasn't enough with those little scoops they use. I would've opted for more salmon had I noticed beforehand. Good solid choice for poke. It's fresh, lots of topping choices, and they have a good flavored spicy mayo...the staple of a great poke bowl in my opinion. Right now with COVID, you cannot eat in the place which is unfortunate. Usually I'll get poke, and my boyfriend will get Chipotle next door so we can sit in there and eat. First you need to pick your size. Small is one base, 2 proteins, 2 sides while medium is 1.5 servings of base, 3 proteins, and 2 sides, and large is 2 servings base and 4 proteins and 2 sides. The small honestly fills me up, but it's the least amount of protein, so order accordingly. My boyfriend has me so programmed into protein, protein, protein but the large has got to be pricey! I always get the salmon, but there are plenty of other choices as well such as tuna, scallop, tofu, albacore, shrimp and octopus to name a few. You can add in corn, jalapeno, kale, green onion, pineapple, edamame, cucumber...lots of choices here. For my sides, I always get seaweed salad and imitation crab, but you can get cucumber salad as well. And don't forget adding avocado will cost you a little more. Poke Bar is a typical poke place. Nothing stands out about it, however they are not all created equal. Fish freshness is key. I also am big into the toppings, so I prefer a place that has lots of choices without costing you every time you add something to the bowl. I feel so healthy when I eat poke, and I actually love it which makes it even better. I highly recommend checking it out if you are in the area. I've gotten poke bowls from here several times now and it's a pretty decent place to get lunch. There are lots of topping and sauce options to choose from and the serving size is HUGE! The downside is that I can never taste the fish, it might be because I go too crazy with the toppings but I think it's also because of the quality of the fish they are using. Overall, the sashimi tastes very weak, almost tasteless even when I have the piece by itself. Other than that, the other ingredients are fresh and tasty. read more

I recently moved from Alpharetta to Lawrenceville and I've been looking for a spot to get a good Poke bowl from - I found one! I got their Spicy Dragon Bowl and it was great! I usually build my own but I like spicy so I figured I would try theirs. It'll be my go to going forward. Spicy, but not crazy spicy, with fresh crisp ingredients. And it was filling so it was enough for my afternoon meal for the day. I ordered for delivery and my order was ready within minutes of me placing it so I'll save this place for the next time I have a taste for a good quality Poke bowl, with excellent service. I love the food and service. The only reason I'm giving it 3 stars is because they have a bathroom out of service sign up and I know it's not out of service. If you come and sit down and eat and you need to use the bathroom, you can't. That's not ok for your customers. Open the restroom up for your paying customers again. read more

This spot has been a staple food for me for quite some time. Although I typically come to this location, all the locations I have been to have delivered good food and service. The customize your own bowl deal is always a pleasure! The brown sugar bubble tea is also flavorful and hearty! I also tried the tiramisu glass today which came in an actual glass cup with lid and was tasty! It came a bit on the frozen side which is great if you like the icecream texture! I love Poké Bar! This is one of my favorite places for a quick, low-calorie meal. I always get a small bowl with spicy tuna and salmon. I love that you can add as many toppings as you want and they have a good variety of sauces to choose from (the wasabi shoyu is my favorite!). The food tastes so fresh and the staff is always so kind and helpful if you have questions. This store is also very clean and usually has a quiet atmosphere. That was odd and as we sat and enjoyed our meals, we noticed that a guy WITHOUT A MASK went in, they did not say anything to him although they had signs at the door saying masks are required. I'm disappointed. This is my favorite go to spot and I noticed how all the tables were cleared to the side, no dine in. Togo and deliveries only. Six feet is enforced as well as face masks. My go-to poke place these days. Prices haven't really changed like everywhere else has and the quality is top notch and clean. Everything is fresh and tasty and the flavors of the sauces can be as mild or as intense as you like. I'm a minimalist myself when it comes to sauces. Presentation is always nice as well as you can tell from the picture. This location doesn't t have stamp cards where you buy ten and get one free like the Satellite Blvd location so I'd wish they'd implement that. My order got messed up I was ordering two bowls at the same time and noted For each however she had be referring to the other bowl which I didn't notice because she had a container to mix and a container with the base. All in all I wasted a whole bowl of Poke plus an extra $2 of added protein to save the bowl which was not supposed to have sauces mixed in but I added it to compensate for all the sauce. Cute, casual, and clean spot for poke! The ingredients are all pretty fresh which is so important. I got a medium size poke bowl with tuna and double salmon with rice and mixed greens. I added cucumbers, cilantro, edamame, masago, crab meat and seaweed salad. The house sauce and spicy mayo are very popular so i got that with a hint of sesame oil. I loved it so much!!! After moving the area, I would see various Poke places as I drive around and I've heard of poke bowls. If you aren't familiar with a poke bowl, think Chipotle but rather than chicken, beef, or chroizo, instead think sashimi. And rather than salsas, it's the spicy mayo or ponzu sauces found in sushi places. It's LITERALLY Chipotle but with sushi. This makes it light, flavorful, and gives a very Asian feel yet not quite so sushi-esque. After some extremely piqued curiosity, I tried it last night as a friend of mine and I decided on this place since we both live near here and I've seen this place more often than not so it was worth a try. It's right next to Chipotle ironically enough so you could say the comparison is fitting. Upon entering, you're basically looking at a Chipotle setup but rather than chips and tortillas, it's white or brown rice, chips, and salad type stuff like kale or spring mix. Then you have the protein. Again, switch from cooked meats to sashimi. They have salmon, tuna, spicy tuna, tofu, and others for you to choose from. The cool part here is that they give you a combination of three different proteins. I love salmon sashimi so I knew I had to go for that. I also opted for the tuna and spicy tuna to round out my bowl. Next came the toppings so I opted for kale, onion, sweet onion, the roe, and jalapenos because I do like my spiciness. Next in the assembly line is the sauce where I chose the ponzu and sweet chili sauce followed by a dash of wasabi, furikake seasoning, and chili flakes. With three different sizes, I decided on the medium. Needless to say, it wasn't enough so next time, the largest size they got. I would say that the only downside to this place is the price. You do get what you pay for since they do have some pretty premium ingredients. The sashimi looks fresh and there's definitely flavor packed into each bowl but when you're paying $11 for a medium amount and it really doesn't do much to fill you, it does make it kind of a drag. Poke Bar is definitely an added variety to what's on the market for sure. In an area that's literally chock full of the canned Americanized foods like McDonald's, Chipotle, and Starbucks as well as a buffalo wing place, the light flavorful freshness Poke Bar provides is a breath of fresh culinary air to be sure! But make sure you got paid since it's pretty pricey for a bowl. read more

I have been to other Poke Bar locations and expected similar taste and portion for the same price but it was disappointing. The owner or manager was training someone to make my food and kept saying not to put more because top might not close but it just seemed like an excuse not to give a lot of food to me because at other locations they were giving enough for each scoop and still could close. Also when I tried the food not sure why but I couldn't taste the sauce. It was pretty bland. I wouldn't recommend this place if you were expecting something similar to other Poke Bar locations. read more

I've never had poke before and after coming to this place I couldn't believe what I was missing out on! The server was super helpful in helping me build my bowl and I got heaping portions with what I ordered. There's plenty of vegan and vegetarian options clearly labeled which was a big plus for me. Since Nomad closed down, I've been looking for a place to replace my poke needs (although I'm still looking for a place that makes awesome beef bowls ). Poke Bowl is fairly new to the area so i decided to stop by and see what it was all about. Poke Bowl is, well, a place for poke bowls. It can get a little pricy (I'm looking at the to go menu) and a small (2 scoops) is $8.95, medium (3 scoops) is 10.95, and a large (4 scoops) is 12.95 with your usual base of white/brown rice or spring mix and you can also choose nacho chips; kale is an extra dollar. There's a nice variety in protein: regular/spicy tuna, salmon, albacore, octopus, shrimp, scallop, and tofu. The variety impressed me and I immediately jumped on that octopus train when I saw it. Mix ins seem to be more vegetable oriented but pineapples and corn are available, which I didn't know could be added in a poke bowl but hey, you do you, boo. There are six sauces to choose from and I went with the house dressing. I couldn't really taste anything special about it but then again, I was hungry and it tasted good so I'll go ahead and say it's a good choice. There is a short description of the sauces when you're getting your bowl and it's helpful if you're trying to decide which sauce to try. The garnishes have a wide variety also and avocado, tamago, and an extra scoop of salad are a dollar each; soup, salad, and rice are also available as additional sides. The restaurant itself is clean and they have a 100 rating hanging on the wall by the cashier. Seating is very limited, though, so you're limited to 4 people if you plan on eating in. Otherwise, ordering to go is probably the best option. They also have loyalty cards so if you order 10 bowls and get all 10 stamps on the card, you get 1 free medium bowl and it's only valid at the Suwanee restaurant because they have other restaurants in other Georgia cities and other states as well. The food is good and the location is convenient so if you're looking for a poke place to try, Poke Bar is definitely a good place. read more

I really like this place. Their seaweed salad was my favorite menu item. A must try! The spicy tuna was next best thing- ground up similar to ground meat. Besides that, they have good amount of side options and even offer avocado add on for extra $. They also serve hot food (teriyaki and chicken), and poke burritos which I haven't tried before so I will get on the next visit. I'm in the area during the pandemic and was missing poke. I had a medium poke bowl delivered for lunch today. The bowl contained spicy tuna and salmon as my 2 pick protein. The spicy tuna was spicy but not overwhelming. Salmon was fresh and delicious. I was able to do a split with my base of 1/2 spring mix and 1/2 brown rice. The additional toppings were also decent options, which included crab salad and seaweed salad. There were a few extra toppings I didn't get including pineapple which didn't appeal but others may like those in their bowl. Plenty of sauce choices, I only went with one this time - ponzu. I did add extra toppings for the final topping of the bowl which included masago, and an assortment of extras including fried garlic, onion, etc. Overall a decent amount of food and delicious poke bowl. However for someone new to the Poke bar concept I felt like they should inform people "Oh you get 2 scoops of this or 3 choices of that", just a suggestion bc i wasn't sure how many choices I can get. I like the spicy tuna the best, but I got the cucumber salad (with house sauce) which was really over bearing on my spring mix and brown rice. The cucumber salad was SUPER sour while the house sauce was tangy and SUPER salty. I think if i didn't get the cucumber salad and they go lighter on the House sauce, I would have enjoyed it alot better. This is my 2nd time here so it's definitely worth a review. I first came in when they had their soft opening and the poke bowls were 50% off. I figured it would worth a shot even if was not good. They exceeded my expectations and more. This location is situated in a small strip mall right of Lawrenceville Suwanee Rd in front of the Main Event next to Chipotle. The space is inside is fairly small with about 10 small tables total. Both times we came in, it was not very busy. If you haven't had Poke bowls before, the staff there is able to educate you on the proteins, base, and topping you can add to your bowl. The small bowl (2 proteins) is enough to satisfy an appetite, but if you're really hungry, you can go with the medium (3 proteins) and even large (4 proteins). The fish there is fresh and no funky aftertaste. The toppings you can add are plentiful. If you're in the Suwanee area looking for some good poke, look no further. read more
