I love the concept of this place. We stumbled upon SOS due to it being a long wait at another bar. The ambiance was pretty and it gave all the tropical vibes. We sat outside in their little alleyway. Most of their drinks consist of rum. I had the Unfortunate Soul which was heavy on the ginger but still pretty good. My hubby had the 3 dots, 3 dashes and 3 more dots which was very different and salty. The waiters were attentive and friendly and the drinks came out in a timely manner. The drink presentation is beautiful and well thought out. They do not have but 2-3 food options but they looked pretty decent. I would give this place another try.

This is the food menu, but there are other eateries in the area

This ain't a foodie spot. This is a cutesy, bar hopping, here for the vibes spot - ok? lol There's a bar snack & some nachos on the food menu - dassit lolol Service was pretty good though. The bartenders were friendly & helped me pick my drink. (:

Such a fun bar!! I came here for drinks after dinner with a friend. I love how it's tucked away and then just opens up into the coolest little tropical oasis inside. We had to wait about 30 min for a seat at the bar (even on a Thursday night just fyi!) but we were able to sign up for text notifications and we just ended up having a drink next door at Victory Sandwich Bar which connects very nicely. Once seated at the bar, our bartender was super nice with recommendations and really made preparing the drinks very fun! I got the pirate republic which had a black pepper infused rum and was described to me as "lemon pepper wings in drink form" which is as ATL as it gets lol so it was a must try! My drink was fantastic and I just loved the vibes of the bar. Someone else was celebrating that night and got a flaming drink which was a fun show for the rest of us at the bar. Overall, really fun bar!!

This tiki bar is located in a booming entertainment/shopping district. There is some grossly overpriced commercial lots nearby and metered street parking available as well. I opted to go with the street parking, which was free after 6 or 7PM which was an extra bonus. The bar is small and has very minimal seating. There is seating at the bar, a small amount of tables inside and a few tables in the narrow alleyway outside of the bar. Be prepared to wait to be seated, especially on weekends. You have to be put on a list for all seating, including bar seating. I waited an hour before I got in. They do allow you to go in while you are waiting and go to the bar and get drinks while you are on the waitlist. The bar is dimly lit and has all types of music playing such as classic R&B, hip hop and island music. When you are put on the waitlist, they take your cell phone number and send you a text when your table is ready. They say that there is a 2-hour time limit once you are in, but I do not think they enforce that too tightly as there were a few people that were there well past that time. The bar offers your favorite tropical adult beverages including Mai Tai, Run Punch, Hurricane, Zombie, and frozen Pain Killer, which was my favorite. They have a fun drinks that include a fire show as part of its presentation. The staff there is very friendly and they keep very busy. The drinks were pretty stiff and very savory. I really liked the bar's vibe and atmosphere. I highly recommend checking this low key spot out to get your tiki bar fix. Cheers!!!

Great little tiki bar tucked away in downtown Decatur. We lucked up and didn't have a wait on a Friday evening. We had a rum punch drink that was a seasonal special. The bartenders were kind and attentive. Parking: street parking or public lots downtown Decatur

8pm on a Thursday and there was no wait. Pretty awesome because this tiny place only has five or so booths and ten or so seats at the bar. There's lots of space outside for the queue and when we left, it was starting to fill up a bit. Less than 20 drinks on the set menu but I'm sure they'll put anything together you want. Zombie, Mai Tai, Singapore Sling, all the tropical cocktails you could imagine. I chose a Rum Old Fashioned and it was tasty, made with two of their rotating rums. Strong drink, very flavorful. It's an adorable place and we had a good time. A "bucket list" place if you're in Decatur. [Review 19537 overall - 593 in Georgia - 507 of 2023.]

This place is a true asset to downtown Decatur! It's a fun hidden gem with both outdoor and indoor seating. Be prepared to wait as the building is quite small so there's limited seating. The bartender was very kind and made me a requested drink not on the menu. Definitely check this place out!

So just happen to be in the area and I wanted to stop in for a little bit. The place was pretty packed so I wasn't surprised that there was a wait. They said that it could be 60 to 90 minutes until we get availability. Which was okay because in that area there's a lot to walk around and do. So after the walking in about an hour and a half later, I head back in that direction. It looks like they had an opening but it didn't show up until I step back up to the podium and ask about how long it was going to be. We went in there and they were actually some seats left so I wasn't sure about what the holdup was and why it had to be over an hour and a half ( I checked to make sure they had the correct number so I wasn't sure why they didn't call me, but that wasn't the end of the world) . But after we got seated it was okay, the drinks are predominantly rum based. They had some Gin and some other types as well. But it is very islandy and a lot of different fruits and eccentric flavors. If you're in there some different types of rum drinks and this is definitely your spot! The decor is really nice as well. It's definitely a lot of Tiki's in other Island themed decorations laying around and it gives it a really cool look. The Establishment itself is pretty dim, I guess it could be kind of intimate or whatever you want to call it, but it's a really good low-key kind of vibe. I ordered the rumble fashion. And it was pretty decent. They don't tell you what kind of room is in it but it was okay, I would actually probably order it again.

Merry Christmas! They had the Elf dish in their food menu. Shots are brought to you on a toy train! If you like the holiday season, this is the place to be. Hour wait and hour table time so it was well worth it and there were tons of eateries nearby! I wish I got more creative drinks, because they pulled out all the stops!!! As I type I literally regret not going to the bathroom to see how it was decorated.

I went to SOS the weekend before Halloween and I thought it was cute that each employee was dressed up as characters from SpongeBoo Square Pants. The ambiance was great. The cocktails were really good. The service was spectacular. I can't wait to go back.

Definitely get there early or there will be a wait. I got there closer to 7 and there was a waitlist. We were able to get drinks at the bar and wait in the lounge (between SOS and Victory) until seats were available. We waited maybe 30-40 min for seats to be available. We went for Chef Don Carne's taco pop up, so once seated we order more drinks and tacos. The drinks are pretty cool! The bar is pretty dark and gives island vibes.

We came to SOS Tiki Bar for my husband's birthday and had an absolutely amazing time. The drinks were delicious, beautiful, and full of thoughtful details. We sat at the bar, which I would definitely recommend- it was very entertaining to watch the bartenders make these complicated drinks, and the shelves themselves are full of fun decorations. My husband had the Mai Tai and another I'm based drinks; he enjoyed them both, and one even came with pyrotechnics! Once he started asking the bartender about funky tiki flavors, he was invited to try a few outstanding rums. They didn't have reservations, so we put our names on the wait list. We had to wait a long time- almost an hour- but it was worth it! There are only a handful of tables in the whole place, and you have to 90 minute time limit on your seats. All of this ensures that when you are in SOS, you have the attention of the staff, and you're not waiting forever to get your drink, even if it takes 20 steps to make! Go get your tiki on!

SOS Tiki Bar is one of my favorite places in Decatur. I'm a huge fan of tiki cocktails and they have some of the best. I always sit at the bar and the bartenders provide great service and are highly skilled. It's very intimate and doesn't have much seating, so I usually avoid going on weekends. They always have great pop-up restaurants that serve delicious food. I recently attended a rum tasting event and the food was provided by Mother's Best. All of the drinks I've had were very well made . Beware though because although they're pretty, they're strong as well.

Fun drink garnish (though I agree with bartender that it wasn't their best drink, I do love banana runts!)

The bar isn't very big, maybe 10 stools in all? The place is very dark and dimly lit with tiki vibes. The bartender was very slow to greet us and give us drink and food menus. Ordered the original Mai Tai and it tasted awful, second drink was a TZ Swizzle much fruitier nicer and light. My colleague ordered the stir fry and it looked tasty. I ordered the edamame pot stickers with shishito peppers and falafel salad. The pot stickers came fried which I wish the menu would have specified but they were tasty and the shishito peppers in the yuzu sauce were delicious. The salad was brought to me without the falafel on top so I had to struggle to get the bartenders attention to let him know and waited some more to receive the four falafels on a separate plate. Once I began eating it I noticed the salad was also very dry, it's so dark I couldn't notice at first until I started to eat it. Then I requested more dressing. To be honest eating at the bar was probably not the best choice because the service was slow as he was slammed making drinks and the bar top had such a huge thick lip it was hard to eat over your plate, so much sauce dripped on to the bar edge because it was so far away from me.
