We needed to cut down 2 big trees (actully 1 tree that split into 2) in our yard (it was dying and was dangerous since it could fall towards our house or the neighbors) and trim 2 others. I talked with Louis (the owner) and he sent a guy to give me a quote the same day! Manuel was on time, answered all of my questions, recommend procedures and gave me a reasonable estimate. Using this company was the best decision we made! Manuel and his team came on time the following Saturday. It took them about 3 hours to do everything. As you can imagine having a tree cut down makes a lot of mess. While they were cutting the trees, they removed all of the falling branches and grinned them. After they finished they cleaned everything! They used a broom and a blower. They left our neighbors yard as it was before they came. There were no debris or branches left behind. I got in contact with this company for someone to come out to give me an estimate as far as cutting down or removing my trees. Luis, the owner of L&P, was responsive and informative about how to proceed with our tree trimming and tree removal. Our neighbor had two "weed" trees and the branches hung over our property. Luis recommended we contact our neighbor---we had already be in touch with the neighbor but I was impressed Luis thought it a good step to take even though overhanging branches can be removed with out telling your neighbor. On our property we had a tree that was in bad shape and needed to be taken down. Luis explained how the removal and trimming would be done and how long it would take. He told me four hours and the day of the trimming his team was done in 4 hours. So, Luis and his crew removed one tree and trimmed branches from the other two trees (about 60 feet tall) in 4 hours. They left the area clean and free of branches and leaves. And we did get a quote from one other tree service and Luis' estimate came in under that other guy's cost. Luis took great care of us. I got 5 quotes, one matched his price (not knowing), one was higher, and the other two significantly lower. I went with Luis because of a couple reasons. During his initial visit, he brought a young man along who could also give his opinion on the quote, but seemed to be learning the biz as well. Luis was honest and demonstrated knowledge of his work. He was clean and professional. He made strong suggestions that obviously came from experience as an arborist and a long background in tree work. He was prompt and had good communication. They were late coming to do the job on the day of, but he called to let us know and they stayed late and did a little extra to make up for it. They cleaned up after themselves and warned us about parts of the yard that might get trampled by the machines or tree debris. They charged EXACTLY what was quoted and no more.
