This is an interesting place. It is quite expensive. That being said the food is good. The servers are easy on the eyes and the environment is cool. We were able to get a table outside which was nice because the weather was fantastic. Our server was friendly and quite helpful. I broke down and tried the escargot. The texture is still a little off to me, but it tasted great. That may have been because I could only taste the garlic and butter, but either way it worked. The filet mignon was prepared properly and had good flavor. You can certainly get similar food for less money, but the experience makes this place worth the extra money. read more

My fiancé had the crispy duck and I had the lamb chops with mashed potatoes....sooo good! Had dinner there tonight by accident when I was just looking for a place to get some change but was drawn in by the very nice design of the place and the friendly fancy dressed ladies working there. Was treated really well, didnt have any experience with anyone at all being anything but exceptionally polite. On to the food. I had escargot for a starter. It was my first time ever trying it and it was really delicious. The main course was called something "chili sea bass". Not sure if they meant Chilean. It was awesome. The sauce it came in was delicious, the fish was flavorful and cooked perfectly. The green beens were very good too. Between the escargot, the fish, a water and an old fashioned the bill came out to 87 Euro for just myself. Its expensive. But its a fancy restaurant with fancy dishes and atmosphere. Due to the reviews I really wasn't expecting a great experience but it's a celeb hot spot in Paris so I was determined to try it anyway. The service was excellent. As we checked in I was asked where I wanted to sit. Out waitress Filomena? was so nice and helpful. The food!! The Tom yum seabass and the duck were excellent. We had a wonderful dining experience at L'Avenue. The food and service were exceptional. The escargot was perfectly prepared in a pesto/olive oil sauce, making the bread just the right tool to soak up the left over pesto. The jumbo shrimp risotto was delicious, as was the tuna tartare, avocado appetizer, and yes, the spicy lobster pasta. Granted, if you're expecting spicy, the spicy lobster pasta is not, however it more than makes up for the lack of spice with a full tomato rich flavor. This is a more expensive dining venue, but well worth the price. We sat at a table just inside the restaurant, at the window, with a lovely view of the Eiffel Tower. read more

The venue is beautifully decorated, and situated ideally for people watching, with friendly attentive service. Recommended. Our service was great and that is the reason for the 3 stars, I was excited to go to this place, I reserved a month in advance and was so disappointed in the food. I got the shrimp risotto and it was bland, but edible and then dessert I got the salted caramel eclair. It was small and the salt overwhelmed the caramel. There were beautiful people all around and a cool atmosphere, but they get you with the alcoholic drinks 18.00 is the lowest. I don't mind paying alot for a meal but I expect it to be something special and this place left my taste buds disappointed. After 120.00 euros spent i wished i had gone somewhere else. read more

I have been here twice, when traveling in Paris for business. IN both cases I dined aloe, and while the restaurant is quite crowded, i felt comfortable alone. IT is a rather hip place and the waitresses are a bit aloof, but the service is fine. The food is quite good. I have had the fillet previously. IN this visit i had the scallops, which we excellent. And they make a wonderful warm chocolate cake. It is on a buys street which is fun for people watching. read more

The service could use a little work (the staff wasn't that friendly, not that attentive, and forgot to bring several requested items), but the food was quite good. From the starters, we ordered: 1- black truffle risotto, which was perfectly done and so delicious (I don't normally like risotto, so that says a lot). 2- escargot. I've had this many times, but this stood out as one of the better escargots I've had. From the mains, we ordered: 1 - beef tartare. I'm generally a fan of tartare and have had it many times, so I have high expectations, and this was GOOD. If you've never had it and want to try it from a good place, I'd recommend giving this a try. 2 - the veal chop. This was our least favorite only because it was not a lean piece of meat and none of us like chewing on fat. I think this is a preference thing, so if you are okay with fat in your meat, you'll probably really enjoy this. There were 3 of us in total (1 man, 2 women), and we were stuffed from the foregoing. The portions were large. Also, the location is very nice and if you sit outside or near the window, you'll have a good opportunity for people watching. read more

We had dinner here and were seated upstairs in the bar area. It got quite crowded and loud around our table while people congregated at the bar waiting for a table which got slightly annoying after a while. There wasn't a large selection on the menu and there were no descriptions for any of the items. We asked our server for some suggestions and ordered the chicken spring rolls for a starter and the shrimp risotto and pasta with morel cream sauce for our meals. We also got the cheesecake for dessert which was delicious and the best part of the meal. The rest of it was tasty but average and nothing I would go out of my way to order again. For our meal and water it was about 140 € with tip. Our server was very nice and helpful unlike a lot of the reviews I read on here. Overall this place is somewhere to go just to say you've been but nothing I wouldn't pass up again. read more

The staff was supper friendly and accommodating, I did however notice that there was a large group of Americans sitting near us complaining about the service but I think was their attitude that brought this about. Thought it was me but it wasn't, she was rude to everyone no matter what language they spoke. Maybe it's just the "ambiance". Also the food was mediocre at best, a block or two from here you can get much better food...you'd only come here for the views. What finally out me over was the beautiful olives they served, however, they were served on top of someone else's used olive pits. Only found this out after i had eaten a few of them. I found this restaurant slightly pretentious. It's located in the heart of a couture shopping area and has a haughty air about it. My travel companion and I did not just pop in from an afternoon shopping at Dior and the waitress took stock of our hiking shoes and seated us away from the windows and other diners, and as close to the kitchen as was possible. Although the waitresses were quite chilly to begin with, they became slightly more friendly as our meal progressed, no doubt anticipating our departure from their chic eatery! The prices are high. The shrimp dim sum starter, four small dumplings, was very nice but over priced at 20€. The peas and beans starter, was excellent, crisp and fresh with a very light vinaigrette. It was the best value of the meal, with a generous portion, at around 20€ as well. My friend ordered the cod with a side of spinach while I chose the spicy lobster pasta. Both were good but not exceptional. My friend had a glass of wine, we passed on dessert, and our bill came to 149€. read more

Presentation was nice, but the 3 servers who delivered the food dropped it with no regard for space on table or even told us the name of each dish delivered. In fact, no interaction was had at all from this crew. Main server was lovely and tried to save the experience, but too late. Their attempt at being an "in" place fell very short. For the price you pay and the food eaten, I suggest you go to a local brasserie. read more

We were invited to the restaurant by some friends who live in Paris. I don't think we would have gone on our own. The place is way overpriced for what it offers. It is in a chic neighborhood and the ambiance is really nice. Our table was upstairs. Very comfortable fauteuils . The food was a duplicate of the menu at La sociate ( another upscale restaurant that we dined at). We were shocked . I think both belong to the same parent company but you do not go about having two restaurants with different names altogether and offer exactly the same food. Another surprise for us was the rudeness of our server. We were given the excuse by our friends that in paris , that is the way it is with servers, but that is absolutely not true. We dined in many places with very helpful and agreeable waitresses. I forgot to mention that the food was good but very average especially for the price. read more

Food was great but watch the switcheroo on the bill. Pretty wait staff but cunning in other ways. You order one thing and something else appears on the bill. Funny thing, the mistake is always in their favor. No its no accident. In our case an 18 Euro salad was changed to a 42 Euro entre and the 45 Euro bottle of wine was 67 Euro on the bill. Keep the wine menu to make sure you get what you order. Oh yeah all this started with the innocent mistake that she thought we ordered TWO entrees when we intended to share and in my stupidity and being nice I ignored my wife and told the waitress it was ok. Walked up to the door to ask for a table of 3 and was told that the restaurant was closing in a few minutes while the dining area outside was clearly full. My husband and I came here during our honeymoon trip to Paris and we really enjoyed the food. I had the filet mignon, he had the chicken curry dish. We also enjoyed the chicken Thai spring rolls, a bottle of white wine, and a cheesecake dessert. The ambiance is very nice. The waitresses were not super friendly but they brought our food out quickly and did a good job overall. I like the dim lighting and comfortable velvet couches as well. If I return to Paris someday, I would stop by here again. read more
