Very nice ambiance, baffling service. The croissant arrived instantly, but it was dry and tasted like butter was strictly against company policy. My coffee arrived 15 minutes later, long after the pastry was a distant memory. To top it off, we received sugar with no stirrer. After requesting spoons for two people, we were handed exactly one teaspoon. My friend and I ended up sharing a single spoon like we were surviving a harsh winter in the 1800s. Come for the photos, but bring your own cutlery and expect your meal to arrive in random, unsynchronized chapters.

The space is beautiful and located nearby the Kirkland waterfront. I was able to find street parking fairly easily and popped in for an almond croissant. I imagine this would be a great place on the sun your day to grab brunch or to have a little coffee work session. I was surprised that there was no one inside of the café, although it was right before lunch during a weekday.

The ambiance and service is nice here. The desserts are STUNNING but heavy (cream-wise). Overall would come back for brunch and coffee but would split 1 dessert with 2 people. Especially given the steep pricing! The Dubai-chocolate flavored cake (sahar) was lacking in flavor depth too. The jams are the best part of the pastries in my opinion.

8oz Americano (ok) and pain au chocolat (nice taste but not worth the $6.50 price)

We two had coffee and pastries. SERVICE: 4.5. Friendly and attentive. PASTRY & CAKE: 3.0. Poor value. - 3.0: Pain au chocolat @ $6.50. Good taste with flaky dough and a thin glaze. Comparable to pain au chocolat available on Eastside at lower price. - 2.5: cake - Gabrielle @ $18. The slight cardboard taste aborbed from the thin cardboard the cake was stored on degraded the otherwise mildly pleasant taste. COFFEE: 3.5. OK. - 3.5: decaf with oat milk. - 3.5: Americano. AMBIANCE: 2.5. Airy with plenty of white seats and tables. Video monitor on one wall silently displayed a video loop of Paris sights. Quiet - no music. Clean unisex bathrooms. A few inexpensive French wines, attractively-boxed expensive French biscuits, etc, available to take home.

My wife and I dropped by here for a Sunday afternoon brunch. We expected cafe-style counter service, but we were pleasantly surprised to be seated with dine-in service. The bakery items were sweet and crunchy. We also enjoyed the Paris-themed decor. We would definitely recommend!

I was hoping to see more gluten free options on the menu, especially for desserts (which I understood you need to order days in advance). I got the veggie omelette and it was nice. I was a bit shocked that tables didn't get wiped down when guests left, and they needed to be (milk stains, crumbs etc.). For the price of the food/drinks and ambiance, I'd expect a higher standard. Cute spot though!

This is a 3.5 star place but I'm rounding it up to 4 star because it satisfy my croissant cravings. We came here on National croissant day and they had a promotion for their croissants to be $1 each, which is crazy!! Usually their croissants are expensive! Taking advantage of their promotion, I got almost I e od each croissant they had, the only one I didn't get was the fig kouigh aman. I was only supposed to get 6 as it was their limit but the last was nice enough to let me get 7 :) Regular croissant, Chocolate croissant --- standard, flaky, buttery Kouig aman - flaky good flavor Banana almond croissant, almond croissant, hazelnut croissant, ham and cheese croissant -- good flavoring. These are definitely very French :) If it wasn't for the price (normal price) I would be coming here often as these are pretty good. The service was decent as well and there are plenty of street parking

Drinks/Food: Overall 4/5 Debut of Executive Chef ‍, Johannes Bonin exquisite patisserie menu! MY FAV: Sahar (Dubai-styled pistachio patisserie) Émilie (classic choux pastry) Coffee was bold & acidic ! Pretty good but not something that I really loved! Interior: 4.5/5 Perfectly sophisticated interior with a lovely patio as well! Kind of like best of both worlds! Service: 5/5 Everyone was so kind & the service was spectacular! They were super sweet about remaking my coffee drink to my preferred liking Overall: Yes / No / Maybe Yes! Perfect spot for pastries trust me!!!!

The service was casual, and our waiter was super awesome, helping us get extra glasses as our friends trickled in. We had a mimosa special that included a bottle of champagne and a few juices for around $45. This was a perfect split between my 4-6 friends and me! We ended up getting a second bottle afterward, and we each had two full glasses! The juices were orange, grapefruit, and a pineapple, mango mixture, all of which were delicious, but my favorite was the grapefruit. They do have a good wine list, but the pricing is HIGH. Think $25-$45 PER GLASS. Some of the wines this made sense for, but they really should consider adding a wine or two below $25 per glass. I have my WSET 2 and know a decent amount about wines so could understand why some of them were priced like this, but the whole menu being this high was strange. $32 for a glass of pinot noir didn't sit right with me. We asked to do flights so we could try a few things, but they said they were only doing glass pours. We asked for a rec for an acidic, fruity red and felt like the gal just told us the most expensive non-tannic red on the menu. Fine. For $32 a glass, I would not order what I got again. We headed to a restaurant after and got $14 glass pours that we preferred. This is a great place to go to impress someone with the chic vibes, but good wine can be found elsewhere at a fraction of the price. I do see the appeal though. It was also pretty loud when we went, so we chose to finish our conversation elsewhere.

Very nice views of Lake Washington and the marina below. Super busy on a Friday night, partly because there were some stuff going on at the other restaurants at Carillon Point. Waited about 30-40 min to get seats at the bar. The food selection is not that big. They have a bigger wine and drinks selection. I got the pork belly for appetizers, and the spot prawn tagliarini. The pork belly is paired with some slightly sweet fruit to cut down on the grease, and the meat was nice and fatty. The tagliarini was tasty. I liked the tangy sauce (has saffron?) and the amount of prawns wasn't bad. My friend had the halibut and they thought it was only okay. Total $100ish for 2 people without any alcohol. We have been here a dozen times…read more Sometimes just for summer fun - most of the time for special occasions: birthdays, promotions, anniversaries etc. This last visit gives us major pause and makes us reconsider ever wanting to come back. We made a reservation for a Thursday dinner for our anniversary a few weeks in advance as we have done times before. When the hostess goes to seat us, we were brought to the table that you would only want if it was the last table available (no view, in the middle of the walking area, by the doors back to kitchen, no vibe, all hassle) we politely ask to move up to one of the several two tops available at the front (it was not that busy of a night) We sit. We wait. We wait. We finish the entire carafe of water. We wait. Finally our server comes to ask us for our cocktail order (30 minutes after sitting, we were on the cusp of walking out). Our cocktails take a while, which again is odd since it is not a packed house. Not once does she come to check in. Another 25 minutes passes and our waitress finally comes over and says our drinks should be there soon, and finally asked if we wanted to order an app, we did. 35 minutes after our first drink order, cocktails finally arrive. They were good. Fun James Bond theme to the list. We finished both cocktails and two appetizers. Our entire table was cleared by the busman and so we continued to admire the scenery before our waitress remembered we existed and came around to ask our order for entrees (We sat with no drinks and no apps for a very long time. The table next to us even commented on how long our service and their service was taking having noticed us sitting there with a cleared table). From order time of the main course until our food arrived - maybe another 25-30 minutes. When our food came, we were expectedly hungry and just perplexed from the experience. Food was good. Prices went up due to the economy. That's fine. It is expected these days. Again our table is cleared, our waitress again remembers we exist - drops off a dessert menu unenthusiastically. Walks away. We definitely didn't want to have to wait for dessert at this point. We let her know just the check would be fine when she comes back around and she changes to be especially bubbly, friendly and enthusiastic for the first time all evening - minutes before dropping off the check which had a surprise of 3% service surcharge. Didn't say what the service charge was for. Didn't mention it inside the menu. We later found out by looking online that it is listed in small print on the bottom of the back - it's for the option to use credit card and you are charged this before you put down a card or cash. You are then taxed at the 10%+ sales tax for this added surprise charge. People in our party often pay or split in cash- this is improper. All to conclude with minimum suggested tip at 20%. You wouldn't accept this service at a pub, a dive bar, or a proper fine dining restaurant - you shouldn't accept it at what this place has become. This was our first date night in while and a special celebration for our wedding anniversary and it truly affected the evening and made us feel like we had wasted our time and our money that could have been better spent elsewhere. We wish we had walked out after the first 30 minutes of waiting to place a drink order. Save your money, you'll get better service at most anywhere else (we skipped the affogato and tiramisu we usually order and went for dessert at Burgermaster instead) That efficient and friendly busman was oddly the highlight of the night and the saving grace from this being a one star experience. Cheers.
