L George's Coney Island has a terrific corned beef hash and their southern omelet is actually my favorite. It's a good breakfast, but the quantity can be a little intimidating. We've been there for breakfast many times and always enjoyed a good meal and attentive, friendly service. My grandson and I have a coney dog there once in a while as well. My wife and I actually have a little bit of history with this spot on Michigan Avenue in Wayne. The site was originally a Burger Chef back in 1969/70 and I worked there alongside her for about $1.35 an hour when were in our teens and we are still together. So maybe it's a little nostalgic as well. Anyway L George's gets a solid 4 stars for good food and service and maybe fond memories. read more

I give the staff 5 stars. They are friendly and make you feel welcome. I found the restaurant clean. It's a spare workman-like place. If you're looking for a solid meal and a place for a meeting, it's worth a stop. I've eaten here while meeting on several occasions. One of the best coney islands I've been to. Their corned beef hash and corned beef sandwich are delicious. They use real corned beef not the canned stuff. Their southern omelet is delicious. Great prices and breakfast is pretty big sized. The chili for the coney dogs is delicious also, one of the top 5 hot dog chili I've tasted. Normal menu selections for a coney island but everything on there is good, tried everything at least once. Great atmosphere also, come in there every other week or so and everyone there remembers me, my wife and my child. Stopped by after a long road trip from New York. Was surprised at how AMAZING the food was! Staff was so friendly. Also really kid friendly. Came in with my 3 kids and my niece and the staff was really sweet. I usually get the eye roll from the staff when I go places with all the kids. The omletes are great! The servers are also very attentive and your coffee is never empty! Probably one of the best coney islands around!

This is my breakfast spot. Pretty standard coney joint without all the flair. Great food, and great prices for the portions.

My father ordered a salad there two days,which was split by 2 people and he found a nasty, long brown hair wrapped in it. Mind you he's a 72 year balding guy. He called them to let him know he found a hair from the order he got that night and they told him to come in the following day and to bring the remaining salad, which he did. Mind you the LGeorges is 20 mins away, he brought the nasty, dna riden salad and they said they would not replace it because he ate some of it. Duh, that's how he found the damn hair. The point is, u run a business where u are suppose to at least be credible, some sort of customer service to your patrons, to honor what say you'll do to rectify the situation and not only do you send a message that your business to lack an assumed level of hygiene, your also dishonest. Not sure why this location is still in business, just be careful to inspect your food and hope if u find somethinv unsavory, they'll have the integrity to replace it or refund you. So I have gone to this place for over 15 years and today will be my last. And I'll do my best to make sure ppl do know. So I came on in and ordered a Country omelette with sausage gravy on the side I get it all the time. We where there two days ago and I got it without a problem. But for some reason this time the waitress told me she could ask and see and I was a bit confused. She came back and told us they can do it this time but. Only this one time. They where not slammed or super busy to put the gravy in a bowl on the side was to much to do for the cook/ owner. It's very sad to see ppl try and control stuff like that. So we got up and left. Very very sad to lose customers Because the chef/owner did not want to provide a ladle full of gravy and a side bowl. So we just went to Steve's Coney just down the street and got it. When u have 5 other coney around yours L. George's there is no reason to jump through hoops to get s meal you want. I had a horrible experience and will never patronize this establishment ever again. Whenever I am in town. I stop by to grab a quick breakfast. I came in this morning to get breakfast with my brothers . The service was horrible. I asked for a vegetable omelet with egg whites and Feta cheese. It was sent out to me twice, both incorrect. In the interest of time I asked could I speak with a manager, because I did not want to eat the meal nor did I want them to attempt to make it a third time. I was refused after waiting for 10 minutes. I have very specific dietary restrictions and expressed this to my waitress. She failed to get the order correct and the manager refused to speak with me. The waitress never brought me an adjusted check or a check period. I placed cash on the table to cover the tab for my other guests food. I was then followed out into the parking lot aggressively regarding my check. This was horrific and embarrassing both the manager and waitress were completely out of line and aggressive and disrespectful. If a customer has a valid discrepnecy you talk to them period. I don't care how busy you are. You have lost a faithful customer and I'll be sure to pass the word along to the locals I know that frequent the establishment. read more

I work at a local hospital close to this restaurant and we place large orders frequently. The food is ok, but the management needs a lot of work. They want wrong orders brought back to the restaurant so they can be remade. I don't know if they want PROOF the food was messed up or what, but what they don't understand is that lunch breaks are few and far between (if at all) and we don't have time for orders to be remade or wait for new food. We have patients in the ER who can't wait for us to eat. Also, management will REFUSE to take your name down to fix your order for another day. Many of us have missed lunches all together because this place messed up orders. There was even a time where they sent the wrong food and someone was actually able to swap it out and they still charged a difference of $1 for chicken. Even though it cost the runner gas money and time to go get the food. We have about had it with this place. read more
